3rd person PoV
After finishing his scrumptious meal, the fifteen year old Rugd Acel still had plenty of time before the weekly peddlers would visit his farm.
It truly is a miracle for a single human to finish farm work requiring hundreds of normal humans to complete within his time. Rugd could never have done it without his father’s special tonics which he tailored to his needs.
His father is also the one that shown him the noble hobby of alchemy. After all, it was impossible to create the absolute herbicide along with the tonics without knowing alchemy. Rugd learned it under his father but it was his mother’s death that moved him to learn it passionately.
Rugd washed the dishes he used before proceeding on next his activities for the afternoon. It was important to clean everything even though you are the only person living in a small farmhouse.
He smiled a content smile before grabbing a backpack and headed for the backdoor located in the kitchen. The wall where the backdoor was eroded by living wooden tendrils but it was fine for Rugd. It added a sense of individuality for a farmhouse after all.
Outside of his backdoor was a very large deformed tree or rather, it was a tree where various plants grew in it like a Skin-Worm parasitizing on a living being. It casted a very malformed shadow over the farmhouse as some of the anchored plants were glowing. The fog covering the entirety of Acel farm concealed most of the tree’s detail but it was very clear in the eyes of Rugd.
This was Rugd’s garden, the Frankenstein Tree. Everything that are growing in it are various alchemical reagents that was gifted by Lishia to help him in his hobby, including the Frankenstein Tree.
Rugd came closer to the tree as the grooves he cut for climbing becomes visible in the distance. Upon touching the tree, his hands dug into the first foothold, lifting himself up.
Left foot, right hand, left hand, right foot, left foot- With a proper efficient rhythm he clawed himself upwards. He flung himself sideways, grabbing the first branch and sudden shift in his body weight he helped himself up to stand on it.
“Hello all, how’s your day today?”
And like usual, he talks to the silent plants. It is unknown for why he does this, it could be the side-effects of the tonics or the result of being isolated most of the time.
Rugd waited for a response until a light breeze caused most leaves to rustle.
“Is that so? Hmmhmmm! Oh about the family- yeah, they’re fine! Some bastard laid his hands on Bria though… Don’t worry, I made sure that guy could never walk again!”
And with that, Rugd began another conversation with the silent plants… I honestly think he’s insane but it could also be the plants are talking to him without I, the omniscient narrator hearing them.
“Then, can I get the usual? Thank you as always! You’re right though, neighbors must help each other.”
Rugd started leaping acrobatically from branch to branch, collecting just enough materials to start his daily research.
When everything he required was stuffed in his backpack, Rugd dropped down from the tall tree as if committing suicide but fortunately, he knows how to land like a cat.
A bit of dust got sprinkled into his clothes but there was no time for Rugd to lose. He has to use all of the remainder time to complete his latest creation.
He sprinted through the backdoor, leaving it open in the progress. He went room after room until he has reached his bedroom.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
He shoved his bed aside, revealing a blood-stained trapdoor. This trapdoor leads to his underground lab where all of his experiments happen. Don’t worry though, the blood on the trapdoor is dry so it’s okay!
Rugd opened the door and descended through the aged wooden stairs as it creaks with each step. The stairs always shook whenever Rugd uses them but it never collapsed, a rather great distraction for intruders if there would be one.
As Rugd went down the dark tunnel, an angry grunting could be heard along with the sound of two pieces of meat sloshing each other.
“Woah, those two are still going at it like fucking rabbits?”
Shrill noise came out of Rugd’s mouth. Sorry, that was so bad I thought he wasn’t laughing so yeah, forgive your narrator…
The old stone floor await at the end of the stairs. Various markings can be found on it but it was too dark to visible to normal people. Those markings have a very lame pattern in my opinion but for Rugd, it was a pretty pattern that sends him to memory lane.
He continued walking with steps clearly reverbing through the long underground hallway with the grunting and sloshing became louder and louder until the door at the end of it.
The door squeaked when Rugd opened it, an endless expanse of equipment unfolds before his eyes. There were various glasswares, pots and metalware littered all around the room but what Rugd wishes to see here is the cages at the corner.
Inside it were two hairless long-eared creatures with bits of skin missing along with some limbs. One of them is motionless, unmoving as the other one is pounding her with great rage. I can see bits of flesh from what used to be her reproductive orifice as an angry monster kept going ruthlessly.
Her cold, dead eyes kept staring at the empty space then with a powerful shaking, one of the glass-like balls of flesh fell out with the flesh still linked inside the head.
The alpha male noticed this change and brought his face closer to her face, staring at the fallen eyeball closely. He touched it with his nose to confirm its scent then-
CHOMP!
The artery connecting the eyeball poured out a bit of thick red liquid right after it was severed. It also splashed a bit of blood on Rugd’s face but he didn’t mind it and continued watching the experiment unfold, smiling.
With a crunch, the alpha began chewing the eyeball with some of its content dripping from its mouth. With that, it regained some of its lost vigor from the beginning and continued fucking its dead mate.
How did it end up like this? Well, it was when Rugd received an order from Lishia for a better aphrodisiac to beat their competitors so he obliged to help his best friend.
He took a pair of rabbit from the forest right outside the fog and use them as guinea pigs for this cruel experiment. He injected differing substances on both of them, the master and slave for testing.
The master mixture has Void Rose and Conqueror’s Dream to maximize the desire to dominate while the slave mixture has Inverse Negative and Reset Lily to allow the user to experience pleasant things from a dominant partner.
The drugs worked perfectly at the very start but both of them kept going at it until one of them died from hunger and the other one, broken by everything it experienced.
Certainly, it was cruel however it was necessary for Rugd to help Lishia. Without her, this farm won’t exist; without her, Rugd will die… And most importantly, without her support, Rugd won’t be able to see the other side of Alchemy.
The angry rabbit continued raping the corpse in front of it, all while taking bites out of its flesh. A loud chewing sound can be heard from the corpse’s sinewy flesh as it is already undergoing rigor mortis.
Rugd looked at the sickening display one last minute before the feeling of mercy welled up from the depths of his heart.
He picked up a knife from a nearby desk and slashed repeatedly at the rabbit. The first strike has slashed its carotid artery but he found slicing it up to be quite pleasurable so why not continue?
After culling the life of his test subject, he simply threw their cadaver in the furnace with a bored expression. It was a pleasure to use them but to Rugd, death is simply boring…
On the other hand, life is very fun for him as he understands how everything with sentience have a raison d’etre and for him, that is Alchemy.
Though his calculations on the drug were perfect, Rugd exactly knew why did the rabbit had a drug-infused rampage. It was unavoidable since the air within his farm has traces of Breakleaf everywhere.
Breakleaf is an expensive herb used in the outside world for it’s effect amplifying property. Add it on food and you won’t need to eat for a day. Health potions will go up a tier while poisons behave more potent.
The reason it is very expensive is that mass cultivation requires people of specific constitution like Rugd. It creates an insanity inducing effect if more than two of them are in a meter to each other, increasing exponentially as numbers grow.
Rugd kept producing more sample aphrodisiacs as he wrote the recipe for both master and slave. Folded the recipe and sealed it in a wax with his mother’s ring.
He smiled once more as he recalls back then when he visited Lishia with his mother. It was one of Rugd’s best days but he can’t keep on remembering the days for he had a job to do and a promise to keep.
Just before starting his last extra batch of drugs a bell’s ringing disturbed the eerie silence of his lab. It seems that his visitors are here...
