Announcement

I haven't been able to update for a while now, which I sincerely apologize for. The laptop I use for writing broke, causing all the chapters I had saved to disappear as well. Not only that, but I had midterms the week after so I didn't have anytime to write anything else.

I finally managed to get a new computer and I reviewed the previous chapters in an attempt to pick up where I left off. Sadly, I don't think it will happen. For the first time that I can remember, I actually hate the book I've written. It happens to everyone eventually, but I'm just not satisfied with what I've done.

Now, this doesn't mean the complete destruction of nanite world. I really love my concept and world, I just don't think that I could really write a good apocalypse type novel. Instead, I think that this novel will be a good place for world-building references and maybe as a backstory for one of the characters? As a result, I'm going to pause this book and instead start working on another novel that takes place in Nanite World close to a hundred years in the future. It will take me a while to lay out the concept and write up the first couple chapters. Once I'm ready to start releasing them, I'll make a second announcement here including a link to the new novel. I don't know how long it will take, but I'm expecting about a month or so, probably after finals during my christmas break.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

To summarize: Nanite World is being Re-written as taking place 100 years after the Grey Goo Scenario and tutorial. This new novel will probably be released around christmas break. Concepts and worldbuilding ideas will be almost exactly the same, but more emphasis will be placed on characters with a more gradual introduction to world mechanics. Finally, this novel will probably be the backstory for one of the future characters.

Sorry for dropping it, but I hope you will follow me to the rewrite when it is released.
