"What are you making?" Volzaminat asks.
While waiting for Kyron to return, I decided to start working on something. Just sitting here doing nothing isn't really my sort of thing, so I pulled out some supplies and got to work. Frezolmiax, the ice magic sword I made for Kyron before, is suitable for the Dungeon we're going in, but only on the ice aspect. Air magics will prove useful for him as well.
At the moment, however, I don't have time to make a sword that's fully-useful for the upcoming Dungeon run, not if I want to make it without stopping. Kyron's return with food for lunch will interrupt that.
So I decided to make a ring. Instead of being made of metal, bone, or stone, I'm crafting this one out of a brownish-grey earth crystal. At the moment, I'm just finishing up carving it into the appropriate shape and size. Instead of using my magic for the process, I created a tool that works well for cutting magic crystals, and I'm dropping the pieces into a stone bowl I conjured.
"It's a ring," I answer.
"I can see that," Volzaminat says. "But what's special about it? As much as I hate you for being an irritating little brat, you're known for your magic items and what you made. I heard that playful idiot brother of mine even had Novabodos in his stash. The scars from that spell you used through it, as well as the spell you and your more tolerable husband cast at the end of the war, still remain."
"Scars?" I ask. "To the land?"
"Yes," he answers. "The war left scars deep in the land. While nature has reclaimed the territory and mended much of it, your final spell was… a bit extreme."
"Effective, though."
"Very," he nods. "I will admit that you did good in warning all spirits to leave the area before the battle began. From what I saw of the scars, and what some of the spirits who witness the spell said, it would have killed me even as I am now just to be too close to it."
I designed the spell to destroy the Great Demon King, of course I expected it to potentially be lethal to spirits, too. That was the entire reason behind why I warned all of them during the beginning stages of our preparations for the final battle to vacate the area the moment the battle began. Thankfully, I had the foresight to do that once we designated the area for the battle and not closer to when the fight was expected to happen.
Otherwise, I probably would have ended up killing a bunch of spirits, both lesser and greater alike.
"So what's the ring for?" Volzaminat asks. "It seems rather basic for something that you made. It's just a ring."
"So is this," I hold up my right hand, showing off my spatial ring. "Yet it's also an exceptionally powerful ring."
"No, I get that," Volzaminat says. "But all you're doing is carving a ring. Shouldn't you be imbuing it with magics? And why are you using an earth crystal, anyway?"
"The magics come in a bit," I tell him. "And I use magic crystals as decorations on some of my items. They're quite sturdy, you know, and they can be enchanted directly."
It just takes a lot more effort. I finish carving this crystal into a simple band ring, ignoring the spirit's inquiries about the project. He's going to get even more annoyed with me than he already is, but I'm trying to concentrate.
Once the ring is done, I etch a series of markings around the outer band of the ring. That takes time to do with the thin needle I made, but I do manage to finish it, then I set it aside and get to work on making a crystal etching liquid. Unlike the others I've made since my resurrection, this one is going to be significantly stronger. Because of that, I'm taking my time to prepare the etching liquid properly rather than doing a rush job.
Upon finishing the crystal etching liquid, I carefully pour it into the grooves I made in the ring, Volzaminat shutting up to watch me this time, his curiosity clearly piqued. Once the crystal etching liquid is set, I clean up the small amount of it that has flowed out of the grooves, level the surface, then begin smoothing the ring. I need to make sure the surface of the ring is completely smooth before I polish and finish it.
"When I visited you before," I say as I work on the finishing touches of the ring. "You had this form as well, and I never heard anyone mention what your preferred animal form was. Mind if I ask what it was?"
"The bold, and elegant fox!" Volzaminat answers, before promptly turning into one.
His fox form has brownish-grey fur, though his ears and tail are tipped with white, then blue, and his paws are pure white. His eyes are a vibrant, fiery blue. Golden bands circle around his ankles, tail, and neck, blue-and-white flames burning on them. A dozen small stones float above his head in a ring, taking the form of a halo with blue-white flames burning throughout, even connecting the stones together.
"Behold my glorious fox form!" Volzaminat boasts, before returning to his humanoid one.
Though his looks are nearly identical, he has the ears and tail of a fox this time, the same brownish-grey as both his fox form and his human form, but with the tips of his fox form. I have to distract myself with polishing the ring because I honestly find this form sexier, and I wish Kyron was back now.
"What do you think of this look, human?"
"It was cat."
Volzaminat is quiet for a few moments, then snickers. I look at him to find his ears shifting to cat ears, his tail shifting to a cat's tail, both entirely brownish-grey. This time, I do end up staring a little bit longer, and quickly return to polishing the ring once I realize. The spirit snickers at me again.
"Oookay," Kyron returns as I'm inspecting the ring. "I didn't know spirits can hybrid their forms like that."
Volzaminat hasn't switched back to his human form yet.
"It's distracting your husband, and I'm quite proud of that!"
"How did this come about?" Kyron asks. "I never met a spirit who did that."
"It's not really a 'hybrid form'," I hold the ring up to the light from outside, to check for any flaws. "He's a beastkin. Specifically, a catkin."
"A what?"
"Beastkin are humanoid, but with the tail of an animal and the ears of the same, no human ears."
"Are they from some story or something?" Kyron asks.
"They're very common on the eastern continents," I tell him. "More common than humans, actually."
"Really?"
"Yeah," I nod. "In fact, almost everyone back where I grew up was a catkin."
"Huh," Kyron says. "I know there was often discrimination between regions in our era, usually based on the preferred elements. Was there anything like that between different types of beastkin? Or between humans and beastkin? How much did you deal with being a human in an area of catkin"
"No," I answer. "And even if there was, my father was a renowned dragon hunter. People were probably too scared to bully me, no matter the reason."
"Your dad… was a renowned dragon hunter?"
"Yup!" I answer. "For my fifth birthday, he decided to go out and kill one so that we could have a massive feast for the whole town. Got a nice pair of boots out of it, too."
Kyron mutters something that sounds like "I think I know where he gets his personality from", and Volzaminat laughs.
"It was a real culture shock," I tell him. "Coming to this continent and finding only humans, no beastkin. Actually made me uncomfortable for awhile. Here, Volzaminat. This is for you."
I toss the spirit the ring, and he catches it before examining it. For the materials I had on me, it's a fairly decent job.
[[Lava Bomb] Ring] Grade: Master Uses: 0/100 Fire Mana: 0.00/250 EarthMana: 0.00/250 This ring was crafted by an expert among expert spellsmiths. The spell [Lava Bomb] can be used at 35 Magic for 1 use, and it recovers 1 use for every 50 Fire Mana absorbed and 50 Earth Mana absorbed.
By "Fire Mana absorbed" and "Earth Mana absorbed", it's referring to how much it absorbs from slain monsters. When a monster dies – especially ones in Dungeons – a small amount of the Mana they have left is released from them, instead of simply dissipating. This actually happens to all living things, not just monsters, but monster Mana is attuned to its elements.
This ring is designed to absorb that released Mana, as long as the wearer is close enough.
I don't normally make items like this because they're a pain in the ass to charge – we can't just charge them ourselves since our Mana is unattuned. I've tried in the past to attune my Mana to an element, but I wasn't able to.
As a spirit, Volzaminat's Mana is attuned to all elements, and he can separate out the different ones within it. This means that he can charge it directly if he wanted to. With his primary elements being fire and earth, he could do that even more easily, and at a one-to-one ratio. For water and air Mana, he'd be able to do it at a ten-to-one ratio, so that would be less effective.
The ring is also able to store up to 250 Mana of each of those two types as well, so if he decides to give the ring to someone else more long-term or permanently, they can charge it and have some extra room for storing Mana. That way, they don't have to worry about wasting a lot of the absorbed Mana if they go into a Dungeon that has one element but not the other.
"As if I need something like this to make [Lava Bomb]s!" Volzaminat huffs as five of the bombs appear around him.
"You're right," I say. "A spirit of your level could make a thousand of them without issue. This ring is for you, but not for you."
"And now you're even stupider than you were when you were eleven!"
"You have people come here every now and then, right?" I ask. "Here to undertake the Dungeons in the area?"
"Well, duh!" He says. "They may not be too well-known, but each of the Dungeons in this area is special! So of course people come here!"
"An area like this, there are probably Dungeons with a focus on water or ice magic, right?"
"Yeah, so?"
"So," I say. "You could make a deal with people. You loan them that ring for an edge in those Dungeons, giving them an easier time in it. Even among mages with affinities for fire and earth, few would know that spell or use it often. Bomb-type spells are quite expensive, and hybrid ones are even more so. In exchange for getting to use it, you can ask them for a favor. You can charge it yourself, too, but you don't have to tell people that and can ask them to charge it up in this Dungeon, if you want."
Volzaminat is now looking at the ring in a new light. Spirits don't normally reveal themselves to people, even if we know they're there. They prefer to watch their area, play with their domain, and maybe collect things. Some will watch over the animals of the area, some will try to find a way to pass the time, others will look for ways to have fun.
This cave indicates that Volzaminat might actually interact with more people than most spirits would, even ones who have more guests than he receives here. Lava crystals are exceptionally rare naturally, and the amount in this cave suggests that he's probably asked people for them after they leave, maybe as a tribute for getting to use a Dungeon he claimed as his.
If I'm right about that, then Volzaminat might be a collector. Many collector-type spirits like to collect things relating to their domain. In his case, that would be fire, earth, and lava crystals and golem cores and such. They also make a small shrine for their opposites, because spirits understand how table of magical elements works.
All elements have an opposite, and their opposites are necessary for the cycle to continue. Two opposing elements can also work together in many cases, too. Spirits understand how elements work better than any mortal could ever hope to. Even I, a mortal who knows the Truth, could never hope to understand the elements the way a spirit does.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
"This doesn't change what you're required to do," Volzaminat tosses the ring back to me. "I'd like to be able to wear it as a necklace when in my fox form. Fix that."
"I wouldn't expect it to change things," I tell him. "It's merely a gift for you."
I pull leather from Kyron's spatial ring, a drop from the Dungeon we ran, and create a leather cord the ring can hang from, which won't be too long as a fox but not too short for the spirit's humanoid form. Once it's done, I give him the ring-necklace and get to work making lunch.
Kyron caught a couple of rabbits and gathered some herbs, berries, and vegetables he found on the mountain. With those ingredients I make a more simple lunch of seasoned meat and grilled vegetables, using the leftovers to start a stew for dinner tonight. As I do that, Kyron mentions that he managed to get a few loaves of bread from the town located where he grew up.
"Completely different," he says when I asked him how it was. "I didn't really recognize anything there, except for the statue of me. That really confused people, seeing me there when they know I died a thousand years ago. Had some amusing reactions."
"Aw… I wish I was there to see that."
"I know, Cay," he gives me a kiss on the forehead. "The statue was made out of ice, and enchanted for longevity. It's the original statue from a thousand years ago, made in honor of me for helping save everyone while being a simple resident from that town."
"At least they honored you," I nod. "It's always good when a town honors a great hero from it."
"Yeah," he says. "But it annoyed me you didn't get a statue, so I made one."
"Kobioshoz probably loved that," Volzaminat scoffs. "That half-brained icicle is infatuated with your husband"
"Who?" I ask.
"An ice spirit," Kyron answers. "He was a bit of a local legend when I was little, known for having rescued a bunch of boys kidnapped by a dark guild. There was never any confirmation, but he was thought to also be the source of the guidance when someone got trapped in a blizzard."
"It's him," Volzaminat confirms. "But he only does it to nice people. I can't imagine why he'd be infatuated with some jerk who decides to piss me off, and then escape my attempt at killing him!"
The spirit conveniently ignores the part where one of the gods showed up and told me I was wrong, and then explained to him that it was a misunderstanding of how things worked. Also that maybe calling me a half-formed cat-brained boy probably wasn't the best way to go about things
It wasn't even until after he said that to me that I decided to try pissing him off instead.
"First, he definitely wasn't attracted to me last time I saw him, so that probably developed after my death," I say. "Second, lunch is ready. Do you want to give it a try."
"Let me see how terrible your fire-brained cooking is."
Curiously, Volzaminat doesn't make any comments about the food, and he looks quite annoyed. He also eats the entire plate of food I served him, including the stone plate I conjured. Once lunch is finished, I make sure the stew is set to cook over very low heat, then snuggle against Kyron and pull out a water crystal to start shaping into an object. I'll make the sword later.
"You're making another ring?" Volzaminat asks.
"I don't handle just sitting around doing nothing," I tell him. "So yeah, I'm making another ring."
"I thought you were going to have sex."
"Why?" I ask.
"Because you got cozy with him after eating," the spirit says. "And when people in love get cozy, they have sex. I've seen it numerous times, especially after meals. Usually dinner, but sometimes lunch."
"Unless we have a lot of downtime, we usually only do it before bed, and even then, not every night."
"Why not?"
"Because I can't handle as much sex as Caleb has the drive for," Kyron says. "So we limit it to a level I can manage. Caleb can go all night without any rest. I can manage up to an hour and a half, maybe two hours, before needing at least fifteen minutes of rest. So we go until I need a break, then we stop. We also don't do it every night to allow my body a bit of extra recovery time. It also makes it a little more enjoyable for me."
"I don't know if a spirit will need a rest," Volzaminat says. "There are some spirits who go for weeks before stopping, and they usually stop after getting bored, because something interrupted them, or because they have to go do something else."
"Spirits have sex?" Kyron is surprised by that. "I mean, I knew your male human forms always have an erection when I see them, but I just thought that you guys were imitating the gods in that."
"Our bodies may not look tangible," Volzaminat pokes a hand through his chest, proving that he isn't fully solid, before pulling his hand out and indicating the ring-necklace he's wearing. "But these forms are just as solid and real as yours. While we don't need food, and we don't have to relieve our bladders or intestines, we can still perform procreative actions. It's actually one of the ways lesser spirits are spawned. We're not ashamed of our bodies and don't cover up, and the reason for our erections is when we're aroused, just as with when you mortals are."
Then why are you hard right now? Oh, he's probably interested in Kyron. Though he was hard the entire time I was gone? I mean, I wouldn't be against doing something with him if I was single, but I'm not.
Thankfully, Kyron understands that he's not the only sexy person in the world, and so I don't have to hide from him when I find others attractive. Being in a relationship means I'm exclusive, but it doesn't mean everyone else suddenly stops being attractive. All gods and all male humanoid forms of spirits tend to be attractive, and there are plenty of mortals who are as well.
Even Kyron finds plenty of other guys attractive. I can always tell when someone else has gotten him horny just by being seen because he tends to be more willing for sex that night.
"There's a whole forest near where I grew up," I tell Kyron. "That I was banned from entering, just because there was a glade in it where spirits in humanoid form had an eternal orgy going on. Mom told me that any mortal who entered it would be pulled into it until they died, then their corpse tossed aside. I don't think it was the same spirits all the time, but spirits coming and going."
"Very likely," Volzaminat nods. "There's a similar thing on this continent, actually. It's near where you broke that seal, but it's also in a cave deep underground and no real access to the surface if you're not able to pass through objects."
Which would explain why we didn't encounter it.
"So?" Volzaminat asks. "You have plenty of downtime before dinner, yes? By your own admission, that's one of the times you two have sex."
"I'm all for having sex right now," Kyron tells the spirit. "But I usually let Caleb initiate these things."
"Unless he's horny when he wakes up," I add. "Then he initiates it."
My preferred way to be woken up is by getting fucked, but it's rare for me to wake after Kyron, so most mornings where he's horny enough for it, I'm already awake. That said, I did wake to a fucking yesterday.
"So it's all on you," Volzaminat rolls his eyes. "You know your husband's horny, you've admitted to being horny all the time, and you're just working on some ring."
"Er… well, yeah," I say. "I mean, I'd love to be having sex with him right now."
"So why aren't you?"
"Because you're here."
"So?" Volzaminat looks oblivious, and I have to remind myself that spirits have a different perspective on things than people do.
"Cay," Kyron says before I can respond to the spirit. "I've also kind of been extra horny lately – not just since our resurrection, but for a few weeks for us. I know you'd rather not have someone watching you have sex, but I'm also certain he wouldn't stop watching even if we asked him to go away. He wants to keep an eye on you. And with how much magic we'll no doubt be using when we go into the Dungeon tomorrow, I think I'd rather get off before going in."
"And you're really okay with him watching for that?" I ask. "I mean, we don't normally have sex in a Dungeon, but we could-"
"Hey," Kyron gives me a kiss. "I can wait if you really want to, Cay, but just think – you might get to see what a spirit's cum looks like for the first time."
"Ooh, that does sound interesting," I start undressing.
"As if I'd jack off to that brat!" Volzaminat exclaims.
So he didn't disappear at my interest in that. I was half-hoping he would, though a part of me actually does have some curiosity, now that Kyron brought it up. Volzaminat basically just confirmed that spirits do, in fact, produce cum.
"Are you really okay with him watching, though?" I ask Kyron as I continue to undress.
"Are you?" Kyron asks.
"Well, I'll be a little uncomfortable, to be honest," I admit. "But we're not really exposed in this cave, since it's a pretty isolated area, he's kind of sexy, and it's not like there's a crowd watching us. I'm fairly certain at least some of the gods have watched us a few times."
"And for all of those reasons," Kyron starts undressing. "I'm okay with it."
"Even though you know I find him sexy and kind of desire sex with him?" I ask. "And probably would have asked him, if I was single?"
"And he would say 'no' to you," Kyron gives me a kiss. "Caleb, one of these days you're going to realize how obvious I've been."
"About what?"
"I straight-up told you a couple of nights ago that I'm fairly certain Tyzlevir would have spent some extra time here yesterday to have sex with you if you asked," Kyron says. "Remember? Before we had sex?"
"Well, yeah," I'm naked now and am waiting for my slower husband to finish undressing. "But I'm not going to cheat on you, Ky, and I'm fairly certain he wouldn't expect me to. I'm pretty sure he watches us fairly often, though, so if I were single, I'm sure he'd stay just for some sex."
"Why are you attracted to him?" Volzaminat asks. "I mean, physically, he's worthy of any spirit or god. But mentally, there's a lot wrong with him."
"There's plenty in his mind and personality to admire, too," Kyron tells him, finally finishing undressing. "Trust me."
Since I didn't stand after getting dressed, Kyron stayed seated as well. We kiss for a few moments, then I bend over and take his dick into my mouth. Kyron starts rubbing my back as I move my left arm around his back, holding the very base of his dick with my right hand. I alternate between going all the way down on his dick, doing just the first few inches of it, and licking and kissing it.
Every now and then, Kyron's hand moves down to my ass and he rubs two fingers into my crack. When he does that, I switch to sucking on each of his balls a few times before returning to his dick. As Kyron draws closer to his climax, I also lick and kiss his abs and give him a few kisses on the lips.
Due to my bent-over state, Kyron can move his fingers towards my hole, and the moment he starts rubbing it, I go all the way down on his dick. I alternate between just moving my tongue against it and adding in some suction while fondling his balls with my right hand.
"Mnh!" Kyron moans with every burst of cum he shoots into my throat. "Mnh! Mnh! Mnh! Mnh! Mnh! Mnh! Mnh! Mnh! Nnnnh!"
I pull off of his dick, then pull back his foreskin and lick up the cum that didn't make it out. Once I finish that, Kyron initiates another kiss with me, before pulling me onto him as he lays down. I give his nipples a little bit of kissing, licking, sucking, and gentle biting and tugs, then turn around so that we can suck each other off.
Kyron must have pulled out the oil at some point, as two slicked-up fingers enter my ass, stimulating me from within as he sucks me off. He really knows what he's doing, his fingers finding that sweet spot inside of me and gently rubbing it, sometimes in place and sometimes while moving back and forth. I focus on his dick, moaning occasionally.
Having an audience is kind of weird for me, and it feels really awkward, but at least Volzaminat is just watching and isn't talking or jacking off. That would make me feel even more weird. Unfortunately, he is actually watching us – I keep looking over to check.
I moan into Kyron's dick when he brings me to my climax, and he keeps sucking me after, his fingers growing a little more aggressive. He likes to suck me to two climaxes before we switch to fucking. Before I reach my second peak, Kyron climaxes again, and I make sure to pull my head up some and pull his foreskin back so I can taste it well.
After my second climax, I turn back around and grab the jar, then slick up my husband's dick before sinking down on it.
"Oooh!" I moan as I feel his dick filling my insides, stretching my ass to fit.
Other guys might stay loose for awhile after taking something as thick as Kyron's dick, but my natural vitality and the slight changes to my body from being a true mage and the amount of Mana that's flowed through my body in my life means I tend to recover pretty fast – I'm usually back to normal tightness by the time I wake up. That just means it feels just as good as the first time pretty much every time.
"That's actually pretty hot," Volzaminat mutters. "Why couldn't he be ugly?"
I have to refrain from asking him to refrain from making comments, because I really want to enjoy this.
I bounce up and down on Kyron's dick, feeling it sliding in and out of my ass as he holds my sides, occasionally rubbing my thighs. I move my hands from his sides to his shoulders to his arms to his abs and basically anywhere else that I want to touch, though eventually, I lean forward a little and put my hands on his chest while he moves his arms to the ground, propping himself up some.
Kyron starts to moan again, thrusting his hips a little as I bounce on him.
"Oooh, yeah," he moans softly, thrusting a little harder as he hits his peak, grunting with every thrust.
After he finishes, I pull off of him and lie down where he was as he moves to a kneeling position between my legs. Kyron adds more oil to his dick, then guides it into my ass as he positions my legs past his sides. His thrusts are rough and hard, even as he bends over and starts kissing me. I hold his sides, Kyron holding my head with his right hand while his left is pressing against the ground beside me.
As he draws closer to his climax, Kyron breaks off the kiss and lifts his body up a little, though he remains leaning over me, gazes on me. A series of soft moans draws my attention, and Kyron's, too.
We both look over – Kyron slowing his thrusts but not stopping – to see Volzaminat jacking off. He's actually in the middle of cumming at the moment, his cum a mix of the off-white of human cum, brownish-grey, and reddish-orange, the three colors swirled together. His first few shots hit above his head, on the cave wall he's sitting against, and on his face. There's actually some on his lips and chin, too.
Neither of us stop watching the spirit until his climax ends, then Kyron and I look at each other again, and the feeling of guilt I have at watching another guy cum despite being in a relationship with Kyron kind of decreases my pleasure of this. At least Kyron watched it, too, and I find that I'm okay with that, especially since we are the reason Volzaminat was jacking off in the first place.
If anything, Kyron's thrusts grow even harder once he's looking at me again, and he starts kissing me again. Kyron doesn't stop kissing me after he cums in my ass again, his hands moving up to my chest, playing with my nipples a little bit. I warp my arms and legs around him, enjoying this. I especially enjoy that he slips his tongue into my mouth and wrestles with mine a little.
"Did you like watching him cum?" Kyron asks once he finally ends the kiss, though his dick is still in my ass.
"Y-yeah," I look away from him.
"Cay," Kyron kisses my neck. "I have absolutely zero issue with that. We knew he might do that when we started, and we were the reason for it. It was pretty sexy to watch, too, just like watching you."
"Are you really okay with it?"
"Dumbass," Volzaminat mutters.
"Says the guy who got off watching someone he hates have sex."
"Can you do him on his hands and knees?" Volzaminat asks Kyron.
"If we're having sex," Kyron says. "And someone else is watching – with our approval – then I consider it approval for us to watch them jack off to it. So don't feel guilty over watching him jack off, I got turned on even more knowing it was because of us."
We probably should have talked about this before, but I can see where he sees it that way. I mean, I was okay with him watching Volzaminat jack off for the exact same reason.
"I want to see it from behind," Volzaminat says.
"And one more thing while we're talking," Kyron tells me. "Since you really have been a bit oblivious to it. I guess you didn't even consider this a possibility, but I'm okay with you sleeping with other guys."
"You are?" I ask. "Even though I'm married to you?"
"Yes," Kyron gives me a kiss. "I'm the only person you're interested in when it comes to romance, Caleb, and I can't fulfill your needs sexually. As long as you put me first and I'm okay with the guy, I have no issue with you getting with someone else."
"Even though we're in a relationship?"
He's really okay with this? Why would someone be okay with their husband doing that?
"Yes," Kyron kisses me on the neck. "I'm okay with it because it makes sure your needs get fulfilled and I'm still first."
"Oh," I say. "Well, I'm still not sure I ever will. They're nice to look at, but you're the only one I love."
"Alright," Kyron chuckles. "So should we do it the way the spirit wants to watch, again like this, or do you want to stop now and do something else?"
