*'Doki'*
We walked through the unguarded gate, suspiciously. We expected people to attack us at any point, but we didn't really expect this...
The was an empty street, which was very wide. Flattering it were two rows of almost serene buildings, with a fancy, vibrant tone to them, with grasses and flowers matching to upper-class nature to said buildings. This image was destroyed when seeing these fabulous abodes with boarded up windows, the lower parts of the facing doors partially damaged and all the grasses and flowers loving put there all trampled and withered. This was surprising enough, but the actions of the few people on this street were more so...
For some reason two girls, with no weapons, blood gashing from multiple wounds and with a mixture of fear and dread in their eyes were 'running', well, more like hobbling away from a group of different men. Both girls seemed to be samurais based on thier armour, and their busts, whilst modest, indicated their gender. I was doubtful I was wrong making such a conclusion...
Anyway, the group behind had a large amount of blood-lust. Between their constant laughter and pants, of what I hope is exhaustion, I could hear them talk about some war or something.
Hm...
The question of whether we should stand up to them or not wasn't answered yet, seeing as they hadn't noticed our presence. Talking might alert them though, so we were just silent.
I looked at their levels, mumbling 'What's that All?' in an inaudible tone. Now information boxes popped up for every single player on the fight. I closed the one describing me and my allies, since it would violate our 'bro code', and looked at the rest.
The members of the group were leveled from 30 to 60, with their leader being level 72. Quite the level gap. But what surprised me the most was what I concluded as the cause of the issue. Both girls were members of the 'Samurai_Girls' clan, whilst the group were seemingly all members of the 'Back-hands'. I gathered it was between the two clans, and it accidentally spiraled out of control, since Jeehan's brother Hiiro had already told us this much. I planned to stop both
My plan was to assert my groups dominance, and force them to both shut up, letting the town open again and letting my group turn in our IDs. There was a massive level gap, but according to their skill lists, and the power of the two girls who will be invited into our party, I felt it was easy to do this.
"Ahem." I projected to everyone, destroying the tension of the scene and alerting our presence to both the girls and the group. "This is Skimmington, right?"
The girls, for some reason, ran and hid behind us. Thinking we're 'heroes' or something... Cute. The group just glared at us, neither side of the conflict, nor my allies said anything to answer it.
"You realize you do have an ability to verbally communicate an answer, right? You don't need to try your impressively weak lazer vision to etch the answer onto our bodies or whatever you're attempting to do. The question is simple enough," I added in a mocking tone.
The death-glares from the group became more intense, causing at least one of my colleagues to visibly shiver.
"Yes. This is Skimmington. Due to the conflict of us, the Back_Hands, and the Samurai_Girls this city is closed. Now be good little boys and fuck off and run, otherwise, like the two girls behind you, you will die," ordered one of them, in a 'threatening' tone. I mean, it was threatening. Just not to me though.
"How cute. You think your group actually scares me. Tell us what's going on, and I may not kill you," I rebutted with my unfazed looks, I saw veins became visible on most of the group member's temples. Seems like my plan of pissing them off is a success.
They clearly had no intention of answering us, so I gave no room for more conversation, adding the two girls to the party which they accepted almost instantly. I then unsheathed my weapons, the others doing the same. I set my 'home', which was used in my Warp-Smith Subclass.
Oh, sorry. I forgot to show you my present shortlist:
Name DokiDoki19 Class Succubus Level 24 Class skills ["Bind" = Mass_Leech.], ["Bolt" = Leech.], ["Heal" = Blood_Transfusion.], ["Intimidate" = Vampiric_Bite.], [passive = Life_Absorb.], [passive = Attraction_Resistance.], [passive = Attraction_Increase.] Sub-class skills <"What's that?" = Object_Examination.>, <"What's this?" = Mob_Examination.>, <"Possess" = Mob_Tame.>, <"Summon" = Summon_(Name)>, <"Kill" = Teleport_Home>, <"set home"= Set_Home_(Name)>, <"Reflect" = Reverse_trajectory>,
Stats Level 24 AP 16000/16000 Defense 34 Damage 99 HP 30/NA Speed 82 Stamina 49 Spare 0
So basically the majority changes are from my grimoire, I leveled up after getting it and testing the Warp-Smith subclass. I changed a couple things too, like getting new gear.
I haven't talked in detail about my weapons yet, so let amend that now. My Steel_Scimitar is enchanted with unbreaking 3, Heat_Resistance and Acid_Resistance. I assume this means this sword won't break, melt or dissolve easily, meaning I don't really have to worry about replacing it for a while. My staff has the enchants AP_Regeneration 3, HP_Regeneration 2 and Unbreaking 2. The HP regeneration decreases the rate I'll lost HP, since I'm a Succubus that is. My AP regeneration rate also increases when I have it out.

Whilst I was thinking about this, I had stepped back, used 'Kill', aka Teleport_Home, to send their leader to the position I had set then used 'bolt' on him to keep him in place. I then used 'bind' to prevent anyone from helping him. Me, and my allies were all inside the wall of tentacles, so we just started attacking him.
I had developed my 'bind' move quite alot. This meant it evolved to be stronger. The attack now surrounded us with a wall that started 5 meters away, and ended 10 meters away, making it 5 meters thick. This strengthened the walls capabilities to hold off attacks, and did more damage to those stuck inside. This was something that happened to most skills given enough use, things like AP cost, speed of use, damage or other aspects of a skill may become better with multiple uses of a move. Which explains why they gave you so many skills at the start of the game.
Checking the leader's stats, he was level 72. So even though we were doing alot of attacks and getting insane bonuses, his health only depleted slowly. With attacks coming from the other side of the wall, and the tentacles starting to shake and warp shape, I guessed it wasn't far off getting destroyed. I stopped attacking, and focused on healing the two girls who were with us. Grunts and groans coming from all the people inside, from the motion or impact of the slices, slashes and swings of blade aimed at the leader. I had no idea what was going on outside, but figured the next step should get rushed.
"I'm going to heal you now. So help in the fight. However don't kill those you don't need to. Otherwise I'll slaughter you. I plan to end this pointless fight, not continue it!" I explained whilst healing them, I also warned them not to go too far since I had a plan it would disturb.
After two or three minutes of constant attacks, the man caught in our trap had less that two hundred health right now, so I decided to take my next step.
"Okay all. Stop." LOD, Jeehan and Titanious had stopped in response to my order, the two girls also looked at me with confusion. "I'm about to destroy these walls, LOD, charge up an assassination to kill him in one hit, don't do it until I command though. The rest pay attention to meet those outside," with my command, everyone became prepared, accepting my orders.
"Stop bind." As I said this the tentacle wall just vanished back into the ground, revealing the people who surrounded us. "So then. Your boss will die in one hit. Surrender he lives. Try to get close and he dies. Attack us with range, he dies... You get the picture?" I shouted the warning so all could hear. "What you do next is your choice, not mine." I finished letting them decide.
I saw the remainders of the group surround us, almost completing a circle. I saw some closer than I though, assuming they had attacked the walls to thin them whilst we fought their leader. However, almost hidden in one of the streets, I saw a group of curious people.
A series of looks were exchanged between the group of 20 who surrounded us. They sighed with dis-interest and started to attack. LOD killed the leader in one hit as response, and their group met me and the rest. The leaders scream could be heard by all of them as he turned into pixels and loose change. The men then froze, probably thinking we were bluffing. This should have killed their morale alot, since their leader, the strongest person they had, was killed my my motley bunch of noobs was quite the loss.
A scramble of questions came from them, clearly disheartened to their bosses death. The most present was "Who the hell are you people?"
"We are rogues from Simpson. We came here to get our ID's certified, but with you idiots fighting and closing the entire city, we became annoyed. Don't worry, had we met a similar scene the other way around, we'd do the exact same thing. We are politically neutral, our strength has been proven and you now need to decide. Attack us and we will probably kill you, don't and we won't. It's a simple choice right? Now choose," I concluded in a matter of fact manner. My slight smirk was probably menacing to the opposition.
With all that happened, they didn't know enough about us to actually do anything. They knew we could assassinate people with ease, trapping level 70+ people in our traps without a problem. The wall generated was insanely thick, so the person, or people, trapped in them wouldn't be saved for a while. If we had killed their leader that quickly, who knows how fast the rest would fall. Well, I think this is what they thought, as they now seemed hopeless to defeat us.
"How can we trust this? You help out those two girls, and fought us without a second doubt," protested one of them, others nodded showing that they agreed.
"Why the hell would we be having this conversation if I was lying? I mean, it's pretty obvious looking at those people over there, that they could have attacked and killed the lot of you in a second. Had we been allies, there's no doubt we wouldn't have done this now. We merely wanted to step in this fight to tell the lot of you to shut up! Otherwise we'll massacre both sides until you finally concede." I stated, pointing at the curious group from before.
Upon a closer look, I joined those who looked before in seeing a large team of females who all seemed to be samurai. I kicked the two girls out of our party and left both groups behind proclaiming:
"I don't really give a damn about the drama and stuff between your two groups. Holding up an entire city for such a silly farce is really stupid, selfish and hypocritical. The strong are meant to protect the weak in this world, right? The entire reason behind this fight was over who should represent this city's sense of power and protection of those weak, right? Did your 'power' protect this once mesmerizing street becoming such a desolate corpse of what it once was, all the houses boarded up, all the gardens trampled on and all the people hiding inside their own houses scared? No, in fact your little temper tantrum is the cause. So why don't you stop now, before you live to regret it. I mean, if we hear that you didn't stop, and continued this pathetic waste of time you call a fight, we'll come back to slaughter both sides mercilessly. Do you understand this?"
I found out my charisma bonus increased my aura. If the aura was dark, it would intensify this. Hence when I turned back to see if my message had been heard, I saw LOD, Jeehan and Nio joined the two big groups in freezing out of fear.
When the ice finally broke, both sides sweat, and nodded profusely. With that done, we headed through our enemies, who conceded on the spot, to the large building matrix visible at the end of this street. Behind me, I heard a babble of noise, from wood slapping the floor, to people, who were not in the conflict before, shouting in joy and celebration.
I looked back to see both groups collecting themselves and walking back peacefully. The tacky boarders of the buildings had been discarded. People were now gradually moving into the street, as if to claim it for themselves. It appears the city was now starting to rebuild it's self.
My remaining party members gave off happy sighs and their smiles beamed with happiness. Probably that is, I didn't bother to check.
My dead cold poker face turned back to my goal. Whilst walking into the castle building before us, my mind focused on only getting the damn IDs we had certified.
