I was in a lot of pain, and i knew my death was very near, i wouldn't even be able tell my friends close by to not make the same mistake as me.

Me falling on my knees while holding my head garnered the attention of my friends and a few of the creatures around us, but before anybody could do anything, on the moment i had fallen on the ground the goddess appeared right in front of me and gently but quickly placed her hands on top of my head and i immediately could feel my situation stabilize little by little.

After a minute of this treatment i was feeling as if i had a good night of sleep, and relief washed over me as i confirmed that i was safe, 'she' then removed 'her' hands from my head. Now with my eyes open and a clear head i realized what i just did, i immediately got up and bowed to 'her', and asked for forgiveness without shouting as to not seem rude, that was the minimum i could do.

"Please forgive me! some friends already warned for me to not look into others as its dangerous, but i had forgotten such warnings until it was too late. I hope my actions hadn't offended you?"

The goddess sounded like a forgiving being and 'she' didn't let my expectations down as instead of anger, annoyance, disgust or the like, she had a smile across her face with some visible hints of worry, and pity.

""Zero offence was taken. I am the one who should be apologizing instead, since i arrived here i had no problem with people seeing me, and that made me let my guard down and become careless, wait just a moment while i fix this"" 'She' made a hand gesture and despite no apparent change happening i still could tell that 'she' put some kind of seal on herself, and i couldn't not feel the curious gazes both from those creatures who stopped to look and my friends behind me, but the creatures only looked at our direction for a few moments only to return to continue with their days, and with my friends only observing for the moment, .

'she' then spoke to me with 'her' voices in a motherly tone.

""Done. In regards to the warning your friends gave you, it is indeed true and you got lucky this time, as you basically saw nothing and i gave you a quick emergency treatment. You will be fine, but, i still recommend you take a good rest to recover your body and mind, they were put under an unhealthy amount of pressure. And talking about rest, do you perhaps know a hotel/inn around here? Think of this information as a repayment for saving you"'

I knew 'she' was kind! 'She' even came up with this "repayment" so that i won't feel indebted!

Luckily i knew quite a few buildings in this city, and i also knew a few cheap but comfortable hotels in the plaza, so i pointed to one of the hotels, the one i am currently residing on, along quite a few of my human friends.

"That building called Ilyhzah is a nice hotel that is quite popular with humans, it only costs 76 om-credits per day and they serve breakfast and dinner for free, it also has a type of "room service" where you can buy other foods from a menu " 'She' looked to the hotel and i could barely perceive it, but i noticed that her smile became a slightly wider and seemed to become brighter before 'she' spoke ""Thank you, that was just what i wanted. I will be going there now, and make sure to not get in this kind of trouble again, as you might not get so lucky again"" 'She' said the last part while going towards the hotel and waving goodbye to me, i waved back until she was quite a distance from me.

I wanted to know more about her as despite knowing that she probably isn't human, she still looked human, which indicated some kind of relationship with us, but I did not want to appear rude and there was the fact that I would have ample opportunities to interact with her while on the hotel.

With the situation with the goddess resolved I turned back and saw my friends nervous faces, some had clear anger and were ready to act if anything unexpected happened again, probably thinking i was attacked by one of the creatures around us, but i readied myself and gave them a quick explanation of what happened, it was necessary as despite them seeing what happened, they probably did not detect me activating my eyes and from their point of view i was simply talking with a seemingly normal woman and few on my knees while grabbing my head.

It was just another day on my hotel as I was sitting behind the reception desk reading a book when the bell at the entrance made its usual pleasant sound that indicated a customer entered, I know it's a rather primitive method of doing this, but my kind is rather traditional, and this method works doesn't it?

I put my book aside and looked at the visitor who was approaching my desk, she just looked like a beautiful human female, her choice of clothing was somewhat peculiar, but peculiar things wasn't something this place lacked.

At first glance i thought she was just another of these humans, but after another discrete glance I quickly noticed that she was strong, very strong in fact, and too strong for her to be a human, but I only maintained a professional smile without showing my curiosity and waited for her to reach my desk and say something, which was exactly what she did.

When she stopped right in front of my desk, she did not open her mouth but I heard what sounded like two distinct but beautiful women's voices speaking in unison.

Visitor: “”Hello, is true that a room costs 76 om-credits per day?””

I recognized her language as soul speech, hard to miss, which is the main language used by soul based beings or it is used when the other party don't know common languages, and the two distinct voices could be because she is more than one, or just a question of style, around here it could be anything.

I was curious as it seemed that she heard about my hotel from somewhere, what was something worthy my notice as my hotel isn't exactly famous worldwide, so her I asked about it.

“Pardon me for asking, but who recommended my hotel to you?”

“”I asked about nearby hotels to a human and he pointed your hotel to me””

Upon hearing the woman's answer I couldn't not sigh, humans again, and unfortunately my rather unprofessional display did not unnoticed by the beautiful woman.

“”Whats the problem? Do your human clients cause trouble to you?””

“It's… it's just that we sometimes receive, let's say… “Fragile clients” that need some special care, and humans are one of such clients”

I continued with a pride in my hotel clear in my voice

“but rest assured! Just the fact that a human recommend our hotel shows how good our services are, we can accommodate from the most “fragile” to the most “complex” of clients, assuring a nice stay no matter your origins”

She spoke with what I felt was a hint of pity “”I know well how fragile they can be, even the human who recommended your hotel to me almost died when he saw me, but because of his quick reaction and my immediate treatment he only got somewhat exhausted as the result! This was a rather silly mistake on my part but, no need to worry, I fixed it””

When she said that she fixed it I could only assume she was talking about the obvious seal she had on herself, to go for such bothersome lengths just for a few humans she must like them quite a bit, but It seems like I encountered someone who understands my troubles in taking care of those fragile humans everyday, but I need to be professional and proceed with business nonetheless.

“Well, putting such matters aside, you would like to reserve a room for how many days?”

She thought for a moment and answered “”Hmmm, 3””

“Before I can give you your room keys, I need to fill this form so that I can assign a compatible room to you, it's standard procedure”

I gave her a standard form that is essential for my services to have a decent level of professionalism, as despite my hotel being popular with humans, this form is obviously needed as every type of being visits this place and every one of them has their own needs and peculiarities, can you imagine a being made entirely of water using a room designed for a being made entirely of lava? I don't even need to explain why that is a bad idea, do i?

Anyways, she quickly filled the form with a pen I gave her while giving pauses to think about the answers and assuming a pensative face, for style purposes I am guessing as she probably only need a second to read a 100 pages book like any being of her level of strength, after finishing it she put the filled form in front of me at the desk.

I took a look at the form and couldn't not raise a eyebrow.

As the name she put “Noit’e” and “Dy’a”, which confirmed to me that she is more than one, not that rare, with older beings that is.

On the age section she put “17795 earth years”, from what I remember it would translate to something like 17 almost 18 cycles, it was surprising that she was this strong while this young, she was only a dozen or two cycles younger than me!

In the species section she put… “Mythical creature”? Its somewhat strange that she choose to be vague about it, but let's proceed anyways.

In titles she put “Lord of Mysteries”, not that uncommon for someone to have a title with “Lord” in them, but said titles when outside positions of power are quite… arrogant, to say the least, but it seems like she have the strength to back it up, n-not that I find her strength attractive or anything like that!

In room preferences she only put “A room suitable for humans”, oghey.

On the How many people will use the room section she put only 1, a normal answer.

On the section of “Hazards to other customers” she put “Seeing my True form causes madness followed by death on lesser beings”, she did mention of something like that almost happening recently, lucky me I didn't try to see under her human guise. Just to clarify, it at best would give me a huge headache but it's good to avoid even that.

On the section of “Is possible that other customers would be your natural prey or food source?” She put a simple “No”, and what I observed of her did not contradict such answer, but appearances can be quite deceiving and I always keep a eye out.

Despite my superb skill of acting and maintaining a professional demeanor, she still saw through me and my reactions to the forms answer, and she decided to explain herself, I do have to admit, her answer were rather interesting and piqued my curiosity, but! In no shape or form did I judge her or her answers, it was simply beneath me or my kind on general to judge someone I just met. Yes it is possible for me to judge someone base on proven stereotypes like in the case of humans, but I knew nothing about this woman or her kind.

With a curious mind at work I could only await her explanation.

She said in a apologetic tone ""Umm, sorry for not filling it properly""

""It's that my kind isn't exactly documented or even organized for that matter, in regards to my name, i am technically two"" ""my species is... The closest thing to describe it would be a mythical creature as my kind os divided into different groups which makes difficult to organize us in a singular category""

""The title thing is only the title for the being at the peak of the peak for my group, I did not receive it from anyone nor it is official in any way, and the rest of my answers is the truth""

"Your kind... Can you tell a little about it? I might have heard about it, and if that is the case I could assign a more appropriate room for you" was the lame excuse I used, in truth i only wanted to know more about such interesting customer, I bet her kind has something related to humans, maybe they were a close species? maybe humans were their prey? I couldn't know as her human disguise only told me that there was a vague relationship between them, what kind, I could only try to guess.

Luckily for me she was willing to answer such personal questions, some beings don't care about revealing their kind secrets and said being are mostly proud to do so, my kind is a perfect example. But, there is no small amount of those that go to extremes to maintain their secret being a secret.

She nodded and almost inflated her chest with exaggerated conspicuous amounts of pride.

""As I said earlier, the closest thing to my kind would be a "mystical creature", unfortunately with my kind, the stronger one is, the less of them there are, but to paint a better picture I need to explain the separations on my kind.

"" from the strong to the weak there is a bigger group and at its peak there is something like a true God called "pillar", this group is divided into sub groups called pathways and at the peak of such pathways there is a god for each pathway""

She made a pause and put on a face that I could only describe as tiredness and continued her explanation.

""Well, I am the "pillar" of my group, and there is only a handful of pillars from other groups and one or two with a strength similar to mine, but something they have in common is that they want to kill me for a reason or another, not that I did anything to deserve that treatment""

She put on a smile, trying to bring the mood up

"" Something notable about us that we have a close relationship with humans"" Knew it! ""We spend most if not all of our lives living between them, we were entitled "beyonders" by them because of our powers, with the weakest of us being only slightly stronger than a normal human, but still beyond a human, this being the reason for the name"

I noticed that a metaphorical fire burned in her eyes as she continued speaking

""but don't underestimate us! The biggest trouble we face is madness, and every single one of us, even the weakest, face the madness like a true warrior!""

"" But before you start worrying about me going insane and hurting others in your hotel, I am a rather special case and I don't need to worry about the madness like others of my kind"" when she reassured me that it was fine she put her hand on her heart in a rather amusing display.

When I was finished listening i immediately started to go over the appropriate rooms on my head, it was resumed to a room for what humans call "humanoid" beings, one for physical and biological beings, and it could be one that was made for beings stronger than humans, hmmm, she told that her kind lives among humans? I will need to take that into consideration.

I took some time to find the right room, not because I did not have rooms, it was the opposite in fact, I was having trouble choosing the room with the right visual style for her, but I soon found one that I thought that fits with her.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, I found the perfect room for you! It will only be 228 om-credits for the three days"

I them sent her a transaction request through the om-system and she accepted the request, with me receiving the money on the same moment as usual, I took out the key to her room and gave it to her.

"Here, room 147-C, just go to the elevator, third floor then follow the left side,I am sure you will have a nice stay. I also hope to talk more with you at the dinner when I am free, you seems to have interesting stories to tell"

She took the keys and said a few words before going for her room.

I don't know many beings who match the description of her kind but I will make sure to ask more at the dinner, but for now I only watched as she went to her room and didn't pry further into her history
