Chapter 8: The Conversation

Ethan asked with a thoughtful expression,

— Ren, how did you end up here?

But unlike you, we weren’t placed into someone else’s bodies—we were still ourselves, just in our younger bodies.

— We became aristocrats’ children. Our families were close, so Ethan and I met at our very first gathering. We began learning about this world, mastering magic, and then, one day, we saw the news about Leonel. The moment we looked at your face, we recognized you as Ren, — Stan said with a sad expression.

— And when we came here, it really turned out to be you, Ren, — Ethan added with a smile.
