My eyes shot open, gazing at the rocky ceiling above me. My body felt stiff, while a sharp pain attacked my head.

Where am I? The place was unfamiliar, and I know no places which had a rocky ceiling like this. I tried recalling the events that led me here, but no memories remained in my head—not a single one.

I rose from the cold, dusty floor and looked around. The place was dim. The area was almost pitch black, leaving me unable to discern the surroundings. Tiny, glowing red lights floated throughout the surroundings, providing little light on the dark room. Thanks to it, I’m able to perceive a sense of distance around me.

I walked forward, stopping where the red lights do not go through. I reached my hands out forward, and it stopped as it hit something, confirming that there indeed was a wall.

Using the wall as my guide, I padded around the room. The wall was cold and rocky, hurting my palm slightly as I dragged it over.

My hand stopped as it hit something. I could not see it, but it was a hard, rounded object stuck on the wall. There is a hole in the middle large enough for my hand to fit. It did not budge an inch when I shook or pushed it. Pulling it, however, made it budge. But it was so heavy, I could not pull all the way through.

I put both of my hands on the object, which had enough space for my other hand to enter, and pulled it with all my strength. Pain assaulted my arms as I continued to pull. My headache limited my strength, but I persevered and continued pulling.

Clank, an audible sound resonated in the entire room, and the object I was pulling stopped. I sat down on the floor and took a deep breath. My hands hurt, and my body felt the urge to lie down. Pulling the object made me dead tired, and I achieved nothing from it. Or so it seemed.

A bright light shone from behind, and the once dark room became bright. I looked behind and the light blinded my eyes. I covered my eyes in reflex, blocking the view in front. But I could see the light intensifying every second. No, I was wrong. The light was not intensifying—the room was crumbling.

My heart was pounding, and I cannot move. The situation had left me frozen. What is happening? I thought, but I didn’t know. This must be the effect of the thing I pulled earlier. In other words, it was my fault.

[Installation Complete] A female-like voice resounded in my head. But I paid no heed to it. It wasn’t important, not right now.

The room continued to crumble, and it’s about to reach me. What’s going to happen? I had no answer to that. All I could do is hope for the best as the sea of white light devoured everything around me.
