Territory reward

John gestured for the two to take a seat to the side.

They sat down uneasily, looking at John as if he were a stranger.

"You... you're John, right?"

John couldn't help but chuckle, "Isn't that stating the obvious?"

"But how come..."

John pointed to the name tag on his clothes, "I'm the Supervisor."

"Holy smokes, you got promoted!" Milo's face was a picture of shock.

"Even as a Supervisor, you can't possibly have this much influence, right? Those chefs seem to have a lot of respect for you."

Milo looked at the chefs, who had suddenly started working diligently, his face filled with disbelief.

"John, can you teach us a trick or two? We're about to go insane here!" Milo pleaded, grabbing John's hand.

"These things can't be taught; you have to figure them out on your own." John patted his shoulder, obviously not revealing that he had both a demon and an angel system at his disposal.

"Supervisor, your friends' dishes are ready."

Soon, a chef came over with a spatula, speaking cautiously.

John signaled for them to deliver the dishes.

Although Milo and Lorne were classmates with John, they couldn't abuse personal connections, as it would break the fundamental principles of the position.

If they violated their role, they might even face punishment!

Lorne and Milo understood this and, knowing their place, stood up, picked up the dishes, and carried them over to the restaurant side.

The last two days passed without any unexpected incidents.

The seven-day trial period officially ended.

Because of John's position, the ghosts at the western didn't dare to trouble Milo and Lorne anymore, and the two of them successfully completed their first instance.

Jessica threw herself into John's arms, crying with joy, "Wuu, I can't believe I'm going to make it back alive, I'm so happy."

Milo and Lorne watched this scene from the side, silently giving John a thumbs-up.

"John's the man, not only did he breeze through the instance, but he also won Jessica's heart!"

Over the past two days, Milo and Lorne's admiration for John had grown immensely.

John was merely a Supervisor, but the ghosts were extremely polite and submissive when they saw him. It was like watching henchmen meeting the mob boss!

The powerful aura that John exuded made them look up to him with great admiration.

John wasn't concerned with what Lorne and the others were thinking; his attention was fixed on the ghost items he had acquired over the past seven days. Suddenly, a question occurred to him, and he fell into deep thought.

Just then, as John and the others gathered in the hall, a flash of white light appeared before their eyes.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

Following that, they all found themselves in a separate space.

Not just them, but all the students scattered throughout the Fierce Ghost Restaurant's various areas also materialized.

After seven days apart, the classmates reunited as if they were long-lost friends, their eyes brimming with tears of excitement, embracing each other, crying their hearts out.

"Bro, I've missed you so much!" Karl found John in the crowd and enveloped him in a tight hug.

"We just met not long ago," John rolled his eyes in response.

The position of Supervisor was incredibly laid-back, and with a special pass, John could move through any area of the Restaurant.

So, with nothing much to do these past two days, John had taken the opportunity to visit Karl's area.

John had also wanted to check out the mysterious second floor of the Restaurant, but for some reason, it was temporarily closed.

"Lister didn't make it back; he was killed by a ghost in the bathroom..."

"My friend too, she was gone on the second day..."

After the tears of joy came a heavy silence.

Out of the original 58 students, only 18 had survived.

The survival rate was only 31%!

Everyone bowed their heads, their mood oppressively somber.

"Congratulations to those of you who have survived; you are the lucky ones, the biggest winners."

"Life and death are distinct; rather than dwelling on the death of your companions, it's better to focus on the rewards of completing your first instance in life."

"Cheers and shouts are what you should be doing now."

The mysterious voice echoed.

Evelina spoke up, "I just want to go home now. Can you let us go back?"

"Of course, you will be transported back in two minutes, and rewards will be distributed based on your performance. If you enjoyed the experience, we welcome all participants to visit Thriller World again!"

Nobody spoke.

Silence enveloped everyone.

A second time?

In this lifetime, none of them wanted to set foot in that damned world again!

After being forcibly sent to Thriller World once, they would have the choice to participate or not—the decision was in their own hands.

Yet even so, a large number of people still flocked to Thriller World in the real world.

One reason was the federal government's protection mechanism, which reduced the level of danger.

The second was for the rewards.

For those daredevil participants, as long as they could leave an instance alive and secure high-scoring rewards, they could often enjoy financial freedom for the rest of their lives!

This temptation could indeed drive many people mad.

But for those who were forced into participation, it was the biggest shadow over their lives, and they even dreaded hearing the two words "Thriller World" again.

Beams of light touched each of them, and one by one, they began to vanish within the mysterious space.

Suddenly, John asked, "Will the rewards I earned in the Fierce Ghost Restaurant disappear?"

"Permanent. The rewards you earned in the previous instance will still be useful the next time you enter Thriller World."

This meant that the next time John entered Thriller World, no matter which instance he was in, he would still be the Supervisor of the Fierce Ghost Restaurant, and he could use the pass and items he had acquired.

Of course, John could also choose to sell them after returning to the real world and gain a substantial fortune.

"Any more questions?"

"No, that's all."

John closed his eyes, and his body disappeared, transported back to the real world.

At that moment, the voice of the system's reward settlement echoed in John's mind.

"Congratulations to the host for completing the Fierce Ghost Restaurant instance, with a score of 14.8 points." (99% satisfaction)

"System reward: Unlock system store." (Purchase with ghost Coins)

"Skill reward: Ring of Demon." (Due to the host's circumstances, when the opponent's anger value breaks through 99%, entering the domain of demon, they must pay with a valuable item as a price, or suffer permanent confinement.)

"Ghost Items reward: Cursed Scarecrow of Life Exchange x2." (If you die once in an instance, it can be used to negate the death and revive you.)

"Ghost cash reward: Denomination of 100." (The exchange rate between ghost cash and ghost Coins is 1:10)

"Territory reward: Gain permanent ownership of the Red Moon 24-hour convenience store." (Address: 76 Ghost Lamp Street, Phantom Quarter, Thriller World)

"A territory reward?" John was taken aback; this was something he hadn't anticipated.

"After completing each instance, the host can obtain a piece of territory in Thriller World. The harder the instance, the better the location of the territory."

"The monthly income from the territory's industry, after deducting various necessary expenses, will be deposited as net profit under the host's personal account. Of course, poor management could also lead to bankruptcy, so don't expect to make money without putting in any effort."

John understood.

The next time he entered the game instance, he could consider checking out his convenience store.

Of course, all this was predicated on the assumption that there would be a next time…
