My shop between planes

6. She likes to think she's sneaky

Dai started taking things out of storage and displaying them in the shop. She tried to fill the empty shelves in the middle of the room, but there just wasn't enough. She liked things a little organized and didn't want to put everything together but to have it spread out by type. But nothing could be done.

Looking at the shelves, she noticed that each item had a price and a description. She was surprised that the prices were different. The price remained the same for items she bought for 1 SC, but there were more of them. But the items she bought one at a time costing 1 SC now cost 2 SC. She didn't have to ask for an explanation. It was clear. She had to profit. When she spent one coin on one item, she naturally had to sell it for two coins. Dai also understood that if she buys something for herself, she will have it at the purchase price, not the selling price.

As she finished her work, she began to think about something else.

"How do I get out of here?" She asked out loud. After spending time shopping, she somehow settled her mind and sensibly returned.

She wasn't dead. This wasn't the afterlife. Something incredible had happened to her, but she didn't quite understand. But she knew she could handle it somehow.

System: "Boss. Do you wish to leave the store?" came a voice after her question.

Dai nodded. "I can hardly find a good place to shop from here. But since you mention it. What if I want to come back to my shop?" She pouted a little smugly at the word 'my shop.'

System: "You will have access to the System interface outside your Dimensional space. I am releasing the application for entry. Please check."

Dai opened the window again and saw a door icon on the side.

System: "This allows you to enter and exit your Dimensional Space at will. Please, to maintain security, use this feature in private." This was clear to Dai. Although she was new to this, she wasn't stupid enough to let people see her disappearing here and there.

Dai looked around one last time before pressing the door icon in her mind. Her gaze clouded over as if a mist had surrounded her. When she saw clearly again, Dai found she was standing in the same alley where she had surrendered to the wild star. Judging by the light, it was early morning.

And a woman was staring at her. 'Uh Oh. ' Dai thought before putting on what she thought was her best business smile.

"Hello." She spoke in a friendly manner before walking around her and hurrying away.

She looked back at the woman as she walked away and saw that the woman had turned to look at her. 'Shit. Damn, it.' Dai thought again and quickly turned into another alley to escape her sight.

She wanted to go home first, but now she had the impression that it was not a good idea. She headed for the inner circle instead.

Meanwhile, in the alley where the woman stayed. Zila Demofang looked back to where Dai suddenly appeared and furrowed her manicured eyebrows. As a woman, Dai didn't pay attention to other women's appearance. But she was still able to tell when someone was pretty or ugly. Dai could tell the woman was pretty even though she only wore a bland cloak. If Zila heard this, she would probably be offended that she is 'only' pretty. Hey Lady, Dai is not one to support anyone's narcissism.

Zila saw a strange light from her window at night. When she finished all her duties, she came to see out of curiosity. Her bodyguard asked the local rabble if they had seen anything. They haven't learned much yet. Just as she regretted going into this filthy place, an ordinary-looking woman appeared out of nowhere. Neither pretty nor ugly, with bland brown hair and even more uninteresting dark eyes.

And yet there was something... something... compelling about her. She was somewhat mysterious, not just because she appeared out of nowhere. Zila snapped her fingers, and a tall, cloaked figure appeared beside her.

"Should I catch her, miss?" he asked in a male voice. Zila Demofang shook her head gracefully, her hair flowing like silk.

"Just follow her," she replied. The cloaked man nodded and disappeared again.

Dai had no idea that she had attracted someone's attention. She believed the woman would either feel like she was being tricked or tell how she met the cultivator. But now Dai will definitely have to be careful where she is when she returns to the store. She slowed down When she was sure the woman was not following her. When she got away from the poorest part of the outer circle, she stopped being so tense. Dai took a breath and patted her chest. It's been going well so far.

Most people she met in the morning also headed in the same direction. But unlike her, who was heading towards the inner circle, they went to the northern outer circle. In the northern part of the city, there were the most factories and production facilities of all kinds. The southern part was primarily residential, and the eastern part was farmed. But most of the people working on the farms live beside them.

After more than half an hour, Dai arrived at the gate to the inner circle. The closer it was, the more beautiful the houses were, and the people who walked around were better dressed. The wealthy lived near the outer circle. They were still not as good as cultivators or clan members but had businesses or property. Dai was careful not to touch or look at anyone. She didn't feel like provoking someone who wanted to vent their anger on her for having a bad day.

Instead, she slipped as inconspicuously as possible and joined the line that stretched from the gate to the inner circle. Of course, getting there wasn't as easy as standing in line. She had to pay for the ticket. Tickets were expensive depending on how long you wanted to be in the inner circle. Naturally, the longer, the more you pay. And you have to go back to the outer circle before the time limit expires. If you don't come back in time, you will have a big problem. They will send a special fighter after you to track you down and treat you like a criminal. In that case, you can look forward to a good beating.

The queue was short this early morning, and only a few people were heading inside. They were mostly rich people who enjoyed luxury for a few hours, merchants who brought goods made in the outer circle, and here and there, someone who lived in the inner circle and, for some reason, went out.

Dai was standing behind some tall man in rich robes. He had the attitude of someone noble; you could tell by his posture.

Dai couldn't help but inhale a little as the clean scent and soap wafted from him. When was the last time she used soap? She mainly used what she made herself from herbs. Ah, this smelled like quality goods!

The man suddenly turned on her with a frown on his face.

Dai was slightly startled because she didn't expect him to notice anything. It's not like she's breathing down his neck!

She blinked innocently at him.

"Distance." He spoke coldly.

Dai blinked again. He was a handsome man. She had the impression that he was a little younger than her. His hair was black, long, and pulled back with a headband to keep it off his face. Handsome square jaw and a straight nose. He looked like a scholar. That was Dai's only luck. A fighter might just hit her.

"Sorry." She replied, taking a long step behind her.

The man watched her for a moment as if making sure she wouldn't try to approach again. He nodded and turned forward. Dai breathed a sigh of relief.

There were no further problems, and Dai soon got her turn. She almost cried in pain as she paid the crystals for the half-day ticket. All 80 crystals! That's more than two weeks of work! She could understand that they didn't want any scum in the inner circle, but give the poor a chance, okay?

She hurried forward and was soon ahead of the scholar, who was frowning in her direction as if he suspected her of stalking him. You're not so handsome, you know?! Dai ignored him and started looking around. She must find a good place for her shop!

The scholar looked after her and relaxed slightly when he saw her leaving. He was used to women doing things because of his handsome face. But it was the first time for someone to smell him, and definitely not pleasant. Luckily, the woman didn't seem interested in him, and he forgot the whole thing. However, at that moment, he sensed that someone strong was nearby. He slowly turned his head only to see a cloaked man. The build and height made it easy to tell that it was a man. But what's more, his spiritual aura was that of someone at the Lower Middle Realm level. It was quite strong in these parts.

He watched him as he weaved through the crowd. Wait... was he following... the Sniffer woman?

After a moment of consideration, he decided to follow. He was a proud and dignified man. But that didn't mean he wasn't curious! Why would someone so powerful follow an ordinary woman?

Meanwhile, Dai walked through the streets, not knowing that she had attracted more attention than she wanted. This was her first time in the inner circle.

Her eyes were like two saucers as she looked at the nice houses; the streets were cobbled, the people were clean with straight backs, and only a few walked with downcast eyes. There are no beaten people here who just want to go home and rest. Here was the pride.

'Just wait, you arrogant scumbag! I'll strip you of all your crystals!' Promised Dai in her mind and already saw all those people as walking wallets.

Then she looked around.

Ok.... now.... where does she find a place? And how the hell is she supposed to connect it to her store?!
