Chapter 1 : Mystery of the silver pocket watch

Strange things were beginning to become the norm for Alvin Clyde . Weird occurrences seemed to be a common theme in his life . In all his years as a sixteen year old 5'4 awkward introverted teen he never quite encountered anything quite like what he was now . Things were normal at first,  his mom sent him towards the basement to look for her tiger patterned vase. His parents tended to move from place to place like nomads,  they just moved into their current place a week ago . It was summertime so he had nothing better to do. The basement was crowded with miscellaneous things trying to find the vase was like searching  for a needle  in a haystack.  Making his way through the heap he spotted a pocket watch with blood on it .

" what is this doing here ? " Alvin thought his parents often picked up peculiar souvenirs but they usually informed him of such things . Alvin headed out of the basement towards the garage where he found his father underneath his car. Theodore Clyde was a auto mechanic who owned his own repair shop Clyde's Auto Mechanic Services or CAMS for short. Theodore was 5'10 weighting 250 lbs. Of muscle with charcoal black hair , adorned in overalls.  He was very fit for someone in their late 40s .

" would you mind passing me that wrench kiddo ? " said Theodore

" I'm not a kid anymore dad I'm 16 , practically an adult " said Alvin as he handed his dad the wrench from the toolbox.

" you'll never be too old to be my kiddo , and you won't be a man until you take over the business for me. " said Theodore as he received the wrench .

" Dad you know that's not my dream . " said Alvin

" I don't know why it isn't.  You have an affinity for cars like your old man. Plus you can't tell me you don't love the smell of gasoline.  " said Theodore

" just because I like cars doesn't mean  I want to spend my time working on them . And the smell of gasoline is so peaceful.  But that's besides the point I found this weird pocket watch with blood on it . " said Alvin as he showed his dad the pocket watch.

His father looked at him like he was strange.  " that's a nice wrist watch your wearing kiddo , but I don't see a pocket watch. "

" what do you mean it's right - . " His line of thought cut off as he pointed towards his right palm. The silver pocket watch with blood on it was no longer there . Instead on his right wrist was a wrist watch with skeletal bones as clock hands . With a silver skull embedded in the middle with the time being told through the eye sockets.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

" that can't be! It was right there ! He exclaimed.  What happened left him perplexed there had definitely been an silver pocket watch in his hand . There was no way he could be hallucinating.

Running back towards the basement he found the silver skull wrist watch disappeared and the silver pocket watch reappeared in his hand . This can't be happening.  Things were too bizarre for him to fathom . Testing to see what happened wasn't a fluke he decided to go to the living room where he found his mother on a bright light green yoga mat practicing yoga.

Latreiana Clyde was 5'7 in her mid forties weighting 120 1bs. She had a lean swimmer's physique.  She was wearing yoga pants and a sports bra and top. She had long beautiful brunette hair. She worked as a lifeguard.

" Hey honey , how's the search for the vase ?  You want to take a break and join me in yoga ? " Latreiana Clyde asked . As she struck a pose.

" maybe later but don't you see this pocket watch ? " he asked. While he pointed towards his right hand .

" that's a really metal wrist watch honey where did you get it ? " she inquired.

" that's the thing I didn't buy it. This is not a wrist watch mom. this is a weird wrist watch with blood on it that I found while looking for your tiger patterned vase. Somehow it transforms into a wrist watch when I'm around other people. But when I go to the basement it returns to its original form. Mom you got to believe me I'm not crazy . " Alvin said

Her face scrunched up as she looked at him . She walked closer to him and felt his head .

" Honey your face is hot. Maybe you need to lie down. I know you believe what you saw was real.  But you just overworked yourself to the point that you started to imagine things. Magic doesn't exist sweetie.  I'm sure you will feel better once your well rested. " Latreiana said.

He wanted to argue his case. But suddenly he felt sleepy. Maybe getting some rest was a good idea . He hugged his mom.

" your right mom I'm just exhausted . I'm going to lay down . " Alvin said as he went to his room. Walking on autopilot he slid into his bed. His room was decorated with portraits of his favorite bands . His collection of manga was on top of a dresser . Next to his playstation 4. Adjacent to his television was a silver skull. He had an odd fascination with them. Most of his clothing had skull decorations on them .

As he laid down he began to slowly drift to sleep. Orpheus wrapped him in his arms and welcomed him to the world of dreams. He was on the beach surrounded by the sound of the ocean. Bathing in the warmth of the sun. As he lied in the samd he found peace. The ocean shaking his hand like an old friend. Nothing could ruin this moment. Until the beautiful sky turned  a crimson red and devoured him in darkness. He couldn't breathe as he crawled through the oppressive red. Something pulled him deeper and deeper into the blood.  He came face to face with a 9'2 being made of red. It was hard for him to perceive it. It looked like it was covered in human flesh. It had no mouth .it had deep sunken holes for eyes. Its tendrils held him as he stared deep into the inconceivable.  He couldn't speak all he could feel was nausea.  Whatever this thing was it was wrong for a lack of a better word.

" IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I'VE A VISITOR. IF I HAD KNOWN YOU WERE COMING I WOULD HAD TIDIED UP. LITTLE DREAMER YOU WILL Make A PERFECT HOST. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW INTERESTING YOUR LIFE WILL BECOME.  NOW HOLD STILL THIS WILL BE EXTREMELY PAINFUL. " The being stated its voice sounding like someone who swallowed a thousand marbles. As tendrils thrust into his body. He could feel them writhing in his esophagus.  The pain was unbearable.  He felt himself being ripped apart. As if something was playing tug of war with his body. Blood poured out of his body along with his heart. The tendrils retracted into its body along with his heart.

" CONTRACT COMPLETE. NOW AWAKEN . " The being stated

He was ejected out of his dream and into reality as he woke up. Wiping the sweat from his forehead he could hardly breathe as he let out a scream. what was that. Even his worst fever dreams weren't half as bad as that. What the fuck was going on !
