My new life as Tiamat's heir(ess?)
Chapter 18 : Emilie was furious.

Chapter 18 : Emilie was furious.

Emilie was furious.

She was mad at the whole world.

She was furious at being cast aside by the king.

She was furious with her godfather, Professor Chardon.

No one understood her

No one thought of at least looking for the remains or traces of her boyfriend.

No one thought of the slaughtered tribe, and the image of dragons was even more tarnished and now associated with demons.

She resented her own flesh and tried several times to tear off her own scales, but on reflection and self-preservation, looking like a blood pellet made no sense either, and even if she had her limbs hacked off, she'd never be human again.

Still, she was a very pretty dragoness, but with the heart of a human.

She resented Ochria, her little sister, and Azur, her little brother.

It was jealousy. Why should they be able to look human and not her? Then, after much thought, she began to vomit.

All these thoughts came to her as she flew, refusing to get on the plane and return home with her godfather and, above all, the little dragonet Blackthorn.

“I swear, one wrong word or even a mean thought, and I'll eat him!”

Then she roared above the clouds, out of the airplane circuits with her only connection being a radio to establish a link with the control towers in case a collision might take place but she had her flight license and permissions.

Emilie was a free dragon, having bowed to all regulations and was recognized as human along with her 2 siblings.

Tears rolled down her head and joined the rain below, beneath the clouds.

She crossed the Pyrenees, France and then Belgium.

She suddenly felt like strangling Azur and trampling Ochria underfoot. It wasn't fair, they'd had Tiamat's blessing and she wanted to take out her rage once again on Rudia, her mother, a prisoner for life (until the surviving plaintiffs of her victims stopped complaining, forgave or simply ended their lives. She had at least 50 years to serve, if not more.

She accepted her sentence and behaved appropriately, and was allowed visits, but so far Emilie had never been to see her. It was too soon, too painful and she hadn't accepted the death of her biological parents and her uncle Luc, massacred by Tiamat, but she suspected Blackthorne before his fall and reincarnation.

Then, now, images of a Leviathan, equipped with Tiamat's powers, the creation of secret societies, even the involvement of superpowers like Russia. Emilie knew, of course, that Tiamat, who had survived, would take revenge on her and all her loved ones. Tiamat would turn against Russia and put her rulers under her paws, draconizing them into a caste of predatory lords feasting on humanity reduced to slaves or cattle.
