Nathan was lying atop his bed, groaning. He had a long day yesterday. First, he confessed to his crush at work, was rejected, was shouted at by his boss, then went to get one drink, ending up with who knows how much. He knew he had work today, but he just couldn't stand up.
After around an hour of lying down, he finally got up. He changed his clothes first and noticed that he looked slightly fitter, somehow, but ended up ignoring it as he was already late. He took a quick look in the mirror as he rushed to the door, but quickly froze in the spot as he looked at his face. He knew for a fact that wasn't his face. Or, more specifically, his hair. One way he knew was that he now had snakes covering his head. Plus, his eyes... He couldn't take his eyes away, almost as if he froze. He couldn't even breathe as his entire body stiffened up. His eyes started to slip away as he felt the lack of oxygen, no longer daring to look at the mirror.
Instead of moving, he just sat there, breathing heavily. But that fear distorted his face into a smile as he realised something: Nothing but a system could do this. He was sure of that. He almost started to laugh but kept that in. After all, if his system could almost make him faint just by looking at himself, how would others react? Could they react?
He calmed down and noticed a box in the corner of his eyes that began to grow when he looked at it. It sprang up, followed by a mechanical voice reading everything.
[You were cursed by an owner of a God of Olympus's system (Lesser curse).

Nathan couldn't believe his eyes as he stared. This confirmed his thoughts.

Nathan stared blankly at the screen that appeared. He didn't know what to think after he read it all. He tried rereading it and didn't find anything different, then pinched himself. He definitely felt the pain.

As he tried to think coherent thoughts, he heard knocking coming from his door. "Nathan Anderson?" a voice called out. It was definitely feminine from what he could tell. He didn't respond. He did, however, look for something to cover his 'hair' and grabbed some random sunglasses he found lying around. He then opened his door, where he found a very good looking woman standing. "Finally," he thought he heard her mutter.
"Who are you?" Nathan asked the lady.
"Don't worry about who I am. Start worrying about what you now are," she said, sounding hurried. Nathan felt the snakes in his hair start to rise, but he willed them back down. "Come, follow me and everything will be explained. Also, we called your work and told them you will never be going back."
"Hold up, what are you talking about?"
Completely ignoring him, she said, "You've got a minute or two to get your stuff before we throw everything out." She walked out, going to the railing, and just started pulling it out. "Chop chop."
After that demonstration of strength, Nathan started running. He found a bag and filled it up with the most important things he owned. Just after the bag was filled, the woman came in and said, "We gotta go. Now." Without waiting for a response, she grabbed Nathan and jumped over the railing, landing on the ground with a loud thud. Just as they landed, Nathan heard something get blown up. He grabbed for the hat covering his hair, just holding it as he followed the woman.
"Damn!" the woman shouted. "Why is it her!?" She pushed me away from her as an explosion appeared. The hat came off from that and the snakes beneath started snapping at each other, rising up. Although they didn't rise much as they weren't that big, they still had teeth and started biting each other. To Nathan, it felt as if his hair was being pulled out.
"Ow! Stop that!" Nathan wasn't expecting the snakes to really stop but they did. He could feel through them that they were looking at something so he turned his head and saw them. The woman from before and a different one fighting each other, using several abilities he's never even heard of.
The snakes started to pull in one direction, all at the same time, catching Nathan off guard. He was pulled and fell on his side but still didn't move his eyes. What made him move was the one snake that bit him. Just that one snake made him avert his eyes and look for the source of the pain. When he looked in the direction, he saw an old friend of his waving him over.
Nathan rushed to his feet, running to Jerome, his best friend of 20 odd years. "Jerome!" Nathan said, opening his arms. Jerome mimicked the action with a smile. "What are you doing here?"
"Nevermind that, we gotta get outta here," Jerome said. The two were shaken as an explosion occurred, almost stumbling to the ground. "Oh, also, you gonna keep that thing with the hair? And why are you wearing sunglasses?"
"Tell you later?" Nathan asked. Something rivalling the sound of thunder echoed out.
"Tell me later," Jerome agreed.
The two ran through the forest, quickly getting away from the two women that were still fighting. "Okay, okay," Jerome said, panting. "I think we're far enough." After a minute of the both of them panting, he continued speaking. "So, why is your hair now snakes?"
"I unlocked a system," Nathan answered.
"No way, man. So, what kind is it?"
"What?"
"You know the three types of system's?" Nathan shook his head. Jerome sighed and started to explain.
The first type, and most common, are the physical type systems. The physical type systems where it boosts the physique, body, of the person or others.
The most rarest type, the one that transforms you into something other than human for a short bit, the beast type systems. As previously stated, they change your species into something different. Someone transforms into a pheonix, another a minotaur, ect.
Finally, the third type. This is the type that no one wants. The ones that own this say that, although they know they definitely have it, it never shows itself. Those with it usually don't even know what system they have.
"So, what system do you have, Nathan? Of course, you don't have to say if you don't want to."
"I think that it's the beast type. By your explanations, at least." Nathan didn't mention he couldn't go back to being a human as it's been roughly half-an-hour since he woke up.
Jerome was making a troubled expression until he said, "What about your job?" It was Nathan's turn to look troubled. Nathan didn't even answer. "Okay, then. Why the sunglasses?"
"Related to a skill. Please, don't take them off."
The two sat on a nearby log and started talking about a variety of things. Eventually, the topic landed on the people that fought.
