Emi sat in her room, humming cheerfully as she tried to plug a memory stick into her MAG's data port. After three attempts of inserting it upside down, she finally got it in. [She was jamming it in the same way, three times!?] She had somehow convinced Ran, one of the Central City operator girls, to lend her the device after catching an “adorably, precious” live feed of Yui’s mission while delivering lunch to HQ.
Of course, network transfer was technically an option, but Emi could never quite remember the steps to initiate the transfer despite how many times the girls had taught her… And the last time she tried, her entire collection somehow ended up on Central City's public bulletin board... So, it wasn’t really an option. [Yui, I am so sorry…]
The MAG projected a holographic interface listing the video files she had been waiting for. Emi set to work creating a new folder and carefully labelling it “Yui-chan's First Solo Mission with Ash-kun ♥♥♥” (though she'd accidentally typed it as “Yui-chan's Frist Solo Mision” first and had to correct it twice). Walking past Emi's room, Yui froze in the doorway as she caught sight of the cringe-inducing recordings projected by Emi’s MAG. “D-Delete that right now!” she shrieked, making a desperate lunge for the MAG, her sudden acceleration toppling poor Mochi backwards with a startled piyoo, as he hastily fluttered his wings to avoid plummeting down.
“Kyaaa!” Emi almost jumped out of her skin at the sudden noise, knocking over her empty teacup, 3 figurines, a pot plant and stack of light novels, as her cheeky MAG mockingly elevated itself out of Yui's diminutive reach.
“Ara, you scared me, Yui-chan!” Emi giggled as she regained her composure. She stood up attempting to reach for the now much higher MAG’s holographic interface, while blowing a strand of hair away from her glasses, her theatrically unstable F-cups defying gravity with each movement. “These are such wonderful memories of your growth as an ARKS! Remember how nervous you were before the mission? You looked so determined!”
Stop bouncing! “Those aren't precious memories!” Yui's small horns practically quivered with indignation. “And why did you add hearts to the folder name?!”
“Oh! Did I add hearts?” Emi adjusted her now-crooked glasses, squinting up at the MAG’s projections. “I was trying to add stars to show how brightly you shined during the mission! Though I suppose I might have mixed up the keyboard shortcuts again...”
“Ooh, what's this about precious memories?” Narumi poked her head through the doorway, her heterochromatic eyes sparkling with interest. Her cat ears perked up at the sight of Yui's flustered face.

“NO!” Yui desperately tried to reach the mischievous MAG. “Narumi-chan, go away!”
“Narumi-chan, come watch~” Emi attempted to pat the seat next to her but accidentally patted a stack of manga instead, sending them tumbling. “Ara… Well, anyway, Yui-chan made the most adorable face when she— Eeh? Etooo, where did it go?” She raised her arms, awkwardly trying to use interaction gestures at the higher than usual angle, somehow managing to open three wrong folders and change her display background in the process.
“NOO, STOOOP!” Yui's face burned crimson as she lunged again, this time managing to grab Emi's sleeve. Mochi who had been circling around after being toppled from his perch, decided to make an emergency landing on a nearby lampshade. Primary perch conditions were simply too unstable for safe landing operations. [What, is Yui’s head an airport?]
“Ehehe~” Emi giggled, still trying to navigate while her bombastic boing-boings bounced with each of Yui's tugs. “Oh! I think I found the slow-motion feature! Ara, why is everything suddenly in Portuguese...?”
“SLOW MOTION?!” Someone just end me now!
Narumi zipped across the room in a blur of excitement, her cat ears and tail all perking up with curiosity. “I wanna see, I wanna see!”
“Don't worry, Yui-chan,” Emi said soothingly, finally finishing her transfer of the files, but not after accidentally creating three new folders and naming them New Folder (1), New Folder (2) and New Folder (3). “I'm making sure to organize everything properly! See? It goes right between 'Yui-chan's First Time in a Maid Outfit' and 'Yui-chan Falling Asleep on Ash-kun During the Fireworks Festival'... Ara, that's not right… How did these cat videos get in here?”
“YOU HAVE A WHOLE COLLECTION?!” Steam practically poured from Yui's ears as she saw the extensive (if somewhat chaotically organized) folder structure. [This rabbit hole goes way too deep…]
“Of course!” Emi beamed, somehow managing to tangle her hair in her glasses again as she navigated the interface. “I have to document all of our precious moments together! Like when you helped that lost child, or when you stayed up all night making get-well cookies for everyone... Oh! Should I share these with Ash-kun? I'm sure he'd love to see how much you've grown as an ARKs—”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” The sound of Yui's scream scared off Central City’s entire population of birds.
Later that evening, Akari found Yui curled up in the darkness of her bedroom, muttering gloomily about destroying all technology in existence. Mochi stood perched on her pillow looking worriedly at her.
“Herrokero?” Akari said, tilting her head curiously.
“Don't ask,” Yui groaned, pulling her blanket over her face. “Just... don't ask.”
Meanwhile, in her room, Emi was already working on a special video compilation titled “Yui-chan's Most Precious Reactions ♥ (Volume 3)”... [Wait, there are TWO MOR—] or at least she was trying to, but she'd somehow ended up creating a slideshow of cooking recipes instead. “Ara, technology can be so mysterious sometimes, ehe~”
