My life as a male harpy
chapter 3 normal

chapter 3 normal

After the long but basic explanation on the world’s system and history, it was obvious that most harpies were glad that we’re finally moving on to the good stuff. Actually beginning our journey to training.

Excited that I was finally gonna travel, I step in the long line with Hilei behind me, still sniffing my feathers. The harpies around us happily chatting around themselves.

One by one, the harpies stepped up to the wooden stage, where the chief would then chant a few lines of words before a beam of different coloured lights would descend upon the harpies and the basic title of would appear over their heads.

A pink haired harpy walked up and the chief chanted: “(incomprehensible Divine language of the gods or some crap like that)” and a pink beam a bit larger than the previous ones shone upon her. Above her head the words appeared.

The chief nodded in delight, “silver eh, that’s great, continue working hard, you might not even have to abandon any titles!” the little girl jumped in delight as she happily flew back to her friend group to show off her silver title.

It is a rather obvious fact that titles have limited potential, so if you awaken to a bronze title, abandoning it before you reach evolution 3 would be wise, normally you’re first title would always be abandoned as you want the strongest 3rd evolution possible as it is impossible to alter your titles in it.

Though title abandoning is normally only done in the 2nd evolution if you find out you have the chance on evolving to your third form, which is normally quite rare for most races, especially those with larger populations like the demons and humans.

However, due to the long lifespans of demons and their insanely large population, they still manage to have the same amount of 3rd evolutions as all the other races added together.

As the harpies continued walking on and off the stage with the occasional surprise of a silver title and even one or two golden ones, it was finally my turn to awaken. I walk up the stage as the chief frowns and stares at me, “Mado…” she groans… Beginning to chant after a few seconds, a normal white beam descends upon my head, to both the chief’s and my relief.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

One of the main reasons chief urvedra so obviously dislikes me is because I’m unknown, strange and potentially dangerous, although for some reason she hadn’t just banished me from the island.

This white beam meant that I was just a harpy, another one of them, a bit different but at the end of the day, one of them. I could almost sense the chief starting to feel guilty behind me for treating me so badly, she is normally a great leader after all.

The title finally shows up.

The young harpy crowd below the stage gasped.

…well I should’ve known I guess, This time I could definitely sense the chief’s anger, her stare would’ve burnt holes on my back if malicious intent could kill harpies.

I sigh, flying down the stage, Hilei walked up; she turned around at the top and stared at me, seeing that I was blankly staring back at her she hurriedly turned back.

, her title showed up after a spectacular Blue light descended upon her, brighter than any other before. The chief jumped in surprise then started screaming in excitement, it had been the first time in almost a century a platinum title had appeared in an awakening.

The last time it had happened, the harpy that had this chance is now an 8th grade 3rd evolution harpy who guards the divine core of harpy island that keeps the island in the sky. When you awaken to a platinum title, it is almost guaranteed that you’ll reach 8th grade when you get to your 3rd evolution, as it has only ever happened twice, or three times now, Hilei, the one from a hundred years ago and Chief Urvedra. Happening because they have the energy of a platinum title within them either from their bloodline, training or both.

A platinum title is extremely difficult to obtain as you’ll have to pass at least 100 divine tests to obtain it, gold at least 50, silver 20 and bronze 5. The divine tests are sent down to you by the gods and only if you complete and collect enough energy equal to that of a platinum title would you be able obtain it. A platinum title is one hundred times harder to obtain than a gold one, a gold one hundred times harder than a silver one and so on.

In other words Hilei was like a seed of hope and potential for the harpy-island, and Mado? Well, a ticking time bomb. Mado is 100% ready to be exiled from the island tomorrow…
