Side Chapter: Observatory, II

“Welp! That's a wrap on that one,” Lumpstein declared as he watched the Heavenly Obliterator be obliterated. “Still though; heh! Not so easy, was it, ya little brats? Nyeah-hah-hah-hah!” he grinned delightedly to himself.

“For all that, they figured it out faster than you thought they would.” Wandreada reminded him.

“Hrrmm! Well I wanted the symbols to be all the same color, but Lina insisted we give them some differentiation to clue players in on how they might function. I'm definitely going to make sure I get my way with Scimitri the Sword Master, however!” the other declared with a nod.

“I think it could have worked either way,” Liza remarked, “But they probably would have clued in on the gimmick even without the colors eventually.” she said with a shrug.

“Still; we gave one of the wildest and toughest guilds in Harmonia a decent challenge; I bet the real things will slow them down even more!” Athena smirked.

“Dyah!! I need to program some sort of resistance to that Abyssal Portal spell into them... bah, to portals in general, I'd say...” Lumpstein grumbled, and Ricklelopes nodded emphatically.

“I know exactly who you're talking about.” he remarked, and Rabbit exchanged a sheepish grin with Liza.

“Analyze all the data from the fight,” Forseti said to all of them. “We want these things to be challenging, yes, but not impossible, after all.”

“Of course!” Flutters agreed.

“Hmm...” Wildthunder softly sighed, observing the view-screen tacitly.

“What is it, my friend?” Forseti asked him.

“Nothing quite so urgent; just hoping we fine-tune them appropriately so that our player-base doesn't give us angry forum threads!” the other replied with a faint grin.

“Hah, indeed.” his friend nodded back.

“Ooh, they gave it to Fyu Dongtian,” Wandreada suddenly said.

“Eh?” Rabbit wondered.

“A flying dog-beast...” Ricklelopes scratched his head.

“That... well, what can I say?” Wildthunder grinned. “As expected, I'd say!” he remarked, and the others laughed in agreement.

Hm, hm! I definitely want to try joining them if I can! Liza thought to herself with a smile.
