MY Hero Academia: The Sixth Generation
Episode 3- Sic Semper Heros

Episode 3- Sic Semper Heros

The show opens with a pan-up of a man holding a rifle with Gin Wigmore's "Kill of the Night" playing. The man paces around a group of people, bound and gagged. We see three other individuals as well: one with a pistol, one holding a sword, and one with the characteristics of a salamander, with his body split down the middle in blue and red. One of the captives begin moaning, but is shut up by the man with the sword, who kicks her. The girl screams.

SWORD: Shut up!

RIFLE(Pointing to PISTOL): Hey! Sense anything?

PISTOL: Not yet.

We jump to outside the building as a car pulls up. An individual with a black and white outfit steps out and approaches the building. We pan up and see that it's LESLIE.

CASSANDRA: Approaching position.

We see a group of police officers waiting on the side of the building, attached to repels. One of these officers is Sergeant DALY.

DALY: We read you, Ghost.

Back inside, another group of smugglers enter the room.

DALY: We're picking up more individuals, Ghost.

LESLIE: Copy that.

LESLIE enters the building and runs up the stairs.

PISTOL: Wait! I got movement. Eastern stairwell.

RIFLE motions to SWORD, who follows him over to a door. The two prepare for an attack.

LESLIE: Remember, they've got a Listener.

DALY: Yeah, we remember. Silencing still engaged.

DALY looks at another officer behind him, who has his eyes closed and is pressing his hand against the wall.

DALY: Approaching window. Ghost, what's your status?

LESLIE reaches a door.

LESLIE(whispering): Arrived at position.

DALY: Copy. Ready on your mark.

LESLIE: 3... 2... 1!

The song hits its chorus. The police officers crash through the window and open fire. The smugglers duck and scatter. LESLIE bursts through the door. She knocks out RIFLE as SWORD attacks her. His blade goes right through her, and LESLIE kicks out his legs. PISTOL is shot down by one of the officers. The smugglers shoot at LESLIE, but the bullets phase right through. She comes across SALAMANDER, who thrusts out his arms and creates two blades, one made of fire and one of ice. He swings the blades at LESLIE, who cleverly avoids them. She grabs out a taser and shoots SALAMANDER in the neck. He jitters and falls to the ground.

Next we see LESLIE tying up the remaining smugglers, including SWORD, RIFLE, and SALAMANDER. She shakes hands with DALY before noticing a crowd of cheering fans. She smiles, waves, and signs autographs. After that, she moves through the crowd, gets back into her car, and drives away. Cut the black.

Play opening.

After the opening, We follow MALCOLM as he drives to a run-down motel room. He checks his bruises in the rearview mirror. He gets out of the car and enters the room. Before he turns around, a man's voice is heard.

MAN: How was your trip, Subject-013?

MALCOLM turns around to find the man who blew up the shop in the previous episode. He is propped up against the back wall with his legs crossed. MALCOLM sighs, and pretends not to notice him.

MALCOLM: It's Malcolm, if you don't mind.

MAN: Very well... Malcolm. I'm here on behalf of Mr. Delbrooks. It appears you have been struggling in your apprehension of Subject-513. I have been dispatched to assist you.

MALCOLM: Jesus christ. It's been what? A week since I got the notice? And they're already sending out assholes to watch my back?

MAN: You will refer to me as Subject-207.

MALCOLM: I'm not fucking calling you that. Got any other names?

ARMAMENT: Then you'll call me Armament. It's a standard villain name.

MALCOLM(laughing): Sure. So, Armament... What did you come here to tell me, straight from the big man himself?

ARMAMENT walks up to him until they are standing right in front of each other. Pause.

ARMAMENT(faintly): That you are being slow. And lazy. And I'm here to speed. Shit. Up. And if you don't comply, we may have to have a sit-down with the family. Got that, Malcolm?

Long pause as the two stare each other down. Finally, MALCOLM heads to leave.

MALCOLM: I'm going to get us some dinner.

MALCOLM exits as ARMAMENT watches him go.

Cut to CHRIS walking down the street. He gets a phone call. He picks it up, and ALEX is on the other line.

CHRIS: Yeah?

ALEX: Hey, Chris. Uh... I wanted to ask you something.

CHRIS: Okay, go ahead.

ALEX: Do you happen to know anyone named... what was it... Malcolm?

CHRIS hesitates. He definitely knows MALCOLM.

CHRIS: Yeah. Why?

ALEX: Well, he says he's looking for you.

CHRIS: Wait, you spoke with him?

ALEX: No.. well, actually yeah, I guess. I fought him?

CHRIS: You fought him?

ALEX: Yeah. He disguised himself as my old military commander. Guess he has some sort of doppelgänger quirk. He said something like you were causing your boss trouble.

CHRIS: Shit. Listen, don't go near him. He's very dangerous.

ALEX: Yeah, I could tell. Why is he after you? You never told me anything about a business, dude.

CHRIS: It was a while ago. You know where he went?

ALEX: I don't know. But he dropped this tracking thing.

ALEX twirls the tracker in his hand.

CHRIS: What?

ALEX: Yeah.

CHRIS: What's on it?

ALEX: It has the building where I fought him, and this... what looks like some other place somewhere on the edge of town.

CHRIS: Ok, perfect.

ALEX: Perfect?

CHRIS: Alex, I want you to meet me at the library as soon as you can. Bring the tracker.

ALEX: Chris, wait!

CHRIS: Gotta go.

CHRIS hangs up and walks away.

ALEX: Shit.

We cut to JUSTIN walking through the city's police headquarters, wearing a pair of sunglasses. It's loud and bustling, and cops are running all around the room. CASSANDRA is hunched over a desk, flipping through papers, a stern look on her face. JUSTIN pulls up a chair and sits down on the opposite side of the desk. He whisks up a paper and feigns interest in its contents. The paper is fully covering the screen as CASSANDRA picks the paper out of his hand, revealing her smiling face.

CASSANDRA(teasingly): What are you doing here?

JUSTIN: Oh, well, I just wanted to check in, say hi, see how you were-

CASSANDRA: No you weren't.

JUSTIN: Correct.

CASSANDRA: You shouldn't be here anyways. Daly might see you.

JUSTIN: Eh, I've got a disguise! He plays with the glasses.

CASSANDRA(giggling): Sure. pause I highly doubt you came here because you were interested in my case about the coffee shop?

JUSTIN(mulling it over): Hmmm... Kinda, yeah. What have you found? Anything juicy?

JUSTIN picks up another paper and CASSANDRA immediately snatches it from his hand again.

CASSANDRA: Well... I tried cross-referencing the uniforms and weapons of the attackers with local gangs, that led nowhere. Then, I tried searching up any contracting groups in the area, but that also led nowhere. It's like these guys just appeared out of thin air.

JUSTIN: Huh. And what about the solo villain who killed them? Got a name?

CASSANDRA slowly leans in further and speaks in a whisper.

CASSANDRA: This morning I spoke to Chris about it, and he said he killed those guys.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

JUSTIN: What?

CASSANDRA: Yeah. He said it totally seriously, too. I'm presuming it's just a joke, but...

JUSTIN: Well, he did kill someone before, I wouldn't put it past him.

CASSANDRA: Seriously? You're still hung up about that?

JUSTIN: Yes, I'm hung up about it! He was my friend!

CASSANDRA: Justin, you know as well as I it wasn't under his control.

JUSTIN rolls his eyes and says nothing.

CASSANDRA: And besides, that was almost 17 years ago. I bet he's changed by that time.

JUSTIN(leaning back out): Oh, and you don't think he should be punished? Aren't you the cop here?

CASSANDRA: He ran away. Practically disappeared. I think he's been punished already.

JUSTIN: It sounds like you're letting a criminal off the hook.

CASSANDRA: Just because someone's a criminal, doesn't mean they're a bad person. Everyone has the ability to change.

JUSTIN: Ugh. You sound like a hero.

JUSTIN pantomimes throwing up. CASSANDRA laughs and shakes her head. JUSTIN also smiles.

CASSANDRA: Jesus. That's because I am a hero. Now, don't you have to go kill people?

JUSTIN: Hey, that's different and you know it.

CASSANDRA: Eh...

The two laugh before JUSTIN gets up and walks away.

CASSANDRA: Hey, how did you get in here?

JUSTIN: The bathroom windows were open.

JUSTIN exits, leaving CASSANDRA alone at her desk.

Cut to ALEX waiting in the library. He looks around before CHRIS walks in the door. ALEX turns around, sees him, and walks over.

CHRIS: You got it?

ALEX pulls out the tracker.

ALEX: Yeah.

CHRIS takes it from his hand.

CHRIS: Thanks.

CHRIS begins walking away.

ALEX: Hey! CHRIS stops and turns around. You wanna help me out here?

CHRIS: What?

ALEX: The fuck is going on, man? What is this? Who the hell was that guy?

CHRIS: Listen, I know you wanna know, but it's too dangerous. You need to stay at the school.

ALEX: Wha-?

CHRIS begins walking away again.

ALEX: Hey! CHRIS doesn't react. Chris! CHRIS still doesn't react. Where are you going?

CHRIS walks out the door.

CHRIS gets in his car, the same one SHAUN was driving. He looks at the tracker, then thinks for a moment before driving away.

About an hour later. As ALEX is entering the dorm, he picks up a letter. He walks into the building reading the letter. He enters the living room, where LESLIE is laying on the couch.

LESLIE: What's that?

ALEX: It's from the school. All of the teachers are getting together for a commemoration.

LESLIE stands and grabs the letter from ALEX'S hands. She reads it intently. ALEX takes her place on the couch.

ALEX: So. We gonna go?

LESLIE: Yeah. Sounds nice.

ALEX: I'm down.

JUSTIN walks in and stands in the doorway.

JUSTIN: What's up?

LESLIE: All the teachers are holding a vigil for Professor Holcamp.

JUSTIN: Hm. Sounds nice.

LESLIE: That's what I said. Alex and I are going. You gonna come?

JUSTIN: When is it?

ALEX: Tonight in the cafeteria.

JUSTIN: Yeah, I'll come. Free food.

ALEX: Bingo.

LESLIE: Really? That's the only reason you're coming?

JUSTIN: Yeah. Is that problematic?

LESLIE: Kinda. He was our hero teacher.

JUSTIN: 17 years ago. Look, how many people do you know who would go to their high school teacher's funeral? No? So, free food. He begins to walk to the couch.

LESLIE passes him and shoves the letter in his hands.

LESLIE: Cass is gonna be there.

JUSTIN stops looks at her.

JUSTIN: What's that gotta do with anything?

LESLIE (smirking): I think we all know.

JUSTIN: Les-

LESLIE has already exited.

ALEX: C'mon, dude, you seriously think we wouldn't notice? You've got a massive thing for her.

JUSTIN (walking to the couch): Oh yeah?

ALEX: Yeah. You've been hanging out with her constantly, and you're always making goggly eyes at her.

JUSTIN scoffs.

ALEX: Admit it, dude.

JUSTIN (chuckling): Ok, you're right. He sits on the couch arm.

ALEX: Also, I think it's mutual.

JUSTIN: Oh. And what makes you say that?

ALEX: Well, like I said, you two hang out constantly, she laughs at every single one of your jokes, most of which aren't funny, and she always has this shit-eating grin on her face when talking to you.

JUSTIN: Well, you seem to be quite the noticer. You pick that up in Malaysia as well?

ALEX: Had the same thing happen with this girl over there. Actually we're still together.

JUSTIN: Wow, good job. Didn't think you had it in you.

ALEX(laughing): Anyway, you go tonight, it'll be the perfect time to ask her out.

JUSTIN: You really think that's the right time? Isn't it a bit too serious?

ALEX: Eh, I've been to a few before. It lightens up surprisingly quickly.

JUSTIN chuckles.

ALEX: What?

JUSTIN: I just think it's funny. The rogue-ish killer hooking up with the straight-laced cop. Sounds like a damn rom-com. JUSTIN checks a message on his phone. Well, gotta go. He exits. See you tonight.

The first few notes of 'We're Through' by The Hollies play as we cut to CHRIS driving up to a building outside of town. He parks at the edge of the wide, quarter-full parking lot and walks up to the door. He enters the building, where a receptionist greets him. He notices a metal door behind the counter. CHRIS lifts his arm up and turns it into a blade. This causes all of the people in the room to scatter. CHRIS demands the keycard from the receptionist, who hastily gives it to him. He puts away his blade and opens the door.

Cut to CHRIS entering a big room full of platforms. The room goes down far below him. There are multiple platforms both above and below. Rooms line the outside of the hole. CHRIS sighs, and begins walking casually to the other side. Guards notice him, and begin shooting at him. CHRIS blocks the bullets with his shield, and grabs the guards with his tendrils. The guards fall around him. There is a short montage of him dispatching guards before he enters a side room that seems to be an office. It's in disarray, as if someone recently left here in a hurry. CHRIS begins rifling through papers, but stops on one titled 'Project Skinwalker- new objective.' CHRIS reads it with growing concern, then searches for more pages. He finds three specific pages. We don't see what they're about, but CHRIS is clearly worried by them.

CHRIS: Oh shit.

Cut to CHRIS running out of the building with the four papers and getting in his car. He sits still in his car for a second, then starts the engine and drives back to the city as the song ends.

Cut to Ivy State that night. Dozens of teachers in hero costumes are conversing in an empty lunchroom. There is a podium with candles in front of a picture of Professor Holcamp. ALEX, JUSTIN, and LESLIE are walking around, chatting. LESLIE walks up to CASSANDRA holding a paper.

LESLIE: Cass.

CASSANDRA: Les! I'm so glad you came! CASSANDRA gives LESLIE a big hug. Where's everyone else?

LESLIE: Alex and Justin are here somewhere.

CASSANDRA: Where's Chris?

LESLIE: I don't know. He always just runs off.

CASSANDRA: Well, he ran off for 15 years, the least he could do is show up for this.

LESLIE: Yeah. Pause Hey, I want to show you something. She holds up the paper. It's the teacher application form that CASSANDRA gave her, all filled out. I completed it.

CASSANDRA: Oh my god! Another big hug I didn't think you'd do it.

LESLIE: Yeah, well, I thought about it, and I realized I wanna do more than just save people. Plus the school is losing funding, and I wanted to help pitch in.

CASSANDRA: Ah, I'm so excited! You're gonna make an excellent teacher!

Meanwhile, ALEX walks up to JUSTIN.

ALEX: So?

JUSTIN: So what?

ALEX points across the room to CASSANDRA, who's laughing as she talks to some of her teacher friends and LESLIE.

ALEX: You gonna go for it?

JUSTIN: I don't know, man.

ALEX: What do you mean, 'you don't know'?

JUSTIN: Just... What if you're wrong?

ALEX: I'm never wrong.

JUSTIN: Well...

ALEX: Okay, I'm not wrong about this. What's the worst that could happen? She says no. Big deal. Then you'll only have to see her for a few more days anyway.

JUSTIN: You give terrible pep talks.

ALEX is about to speak when he is interrupted by one of the teachers at the podium, a young woman in a vibrant blue suit named SAPPHIRE.

SAPPHIRE: Thank you all for coming. I'm very glad to see you all here to remember David Holcamp. I bet you all knew David well, be you friends, work buddies, or even former students of his. I can assure you he'd be happy to know you all came to-

Cut to the front of the school. It's quiet. A car pulls up, with ARMAMENT and MALCOLM sitting in the front. There is an awkward silence.

ARMAMENT: Is this the place?

MALCOLM: Yup, this is the place.

ARMAMENT: You're sure?

MALCOLM turns to him.

MALCOLM(annoyed): Yes, I'm sure. What, you don't trust me?

ARMAMENT: Yes, in fact, I don't, and I don't want you-

MALCOLM(interrupting): Jesus christ, I know this is the place. Can we go now?

The glare at each other before getting out of the car and opening the trunk. ARMAMENT pulls out a shotgun and inspects it. MALCOLM pulls out an SMG.

MALCOLM: Why do you need a gun? Can't you just, like, grab some dirt or whatever and blow everything up?

ARMAMENT: That would be too noticeable. And besides, guns are easier.

ARMAMENT walks up to the door without looking at MALCOLM. MALCOLM shakes his head.

MALCOLM(whispering): For fuck's sake.

The lunchroom is bustling once more. JUSTIN meekly walks up to CASSANDRA.

JUSTIN: Hey, Cass.

CASSANDRA: Oh, Justin! There you are! I was looking all over for you!

JUSTIN: Well, me too.

CASSANDRA: Oh, did you hear Les applied to be a hero teacher here?

JUSTIN: What?

CASSANDRA: Yeah, it's so cool!

JUSTIN: Shit, she didn't tell me that.

CASSANDRA(laughing): So how are you enjoying it?

JUSTIN: What? Oh, the party? It's great. Food is spot-on.

CASSANDRA giggles. JUSTIN smiles. He looks over and sees ALEX in the corner, enthusiastically giving him a thumbs-up. JUSTIN turns back and clears his throat.

JUSTIN: So, uh, I wanted to ask you something.

CASSANDRA: Yeah?

JUSTIN: You remember Spits, right?

CASSANDRA: Yeah, that awesome burger joint down the street.

JUSTIN: Yeah, I was uh... I was wondering if you wanted to go... grab lunch with me sometime.

CASSANDRA hesitates.

CASSANDRA: Justin, are you asking...?

JUSTIN(flustered): No, no...

JUSTIN notices her smile.

JUSTIN: Y-yeah.

CASSANDRA(laughing): I knew it!

JUSTIN: You... did?

CASSANDRA: Well, you aren't very good at hiding it.

JUSTIN: Oh..

CASSANDRA(laughing again): Yes. I'll go.

JUSTIN: Seriously?

CASSANDRA: Of course!

JUSTIN: Wow, I didn't expect that!

JUSTIN smiles. After an awkward pause, the two finally break away.

JUSTIN: Well, catch you later, then.

CASSANDRA: Uh, yeah, You too.

JUSTIN walks out of the room and into the hall, which is covered in a moonlit blue hue. He sighs with relief and smiles. ALEX comes up behind him.

ALEX: Dude!

He gives him a firm pat on the back.

ALEX: I saw everything, man. She said yes!

JUSTIN: Yeah!

ALEX(teasingly): And... I was right!

JUSTIN: Yeah. Calm down.

ALEX: So, where you taking her?

JUSTIN: Spits. The burger joint down on Hawthorne.

ALEX: Seriously? First date, you're taking her for burgers?

JUSTIN: What's wrong with that? It's her favorite restaurant, and it's where we first met.

ALEX: Ooh... You've got a reason. Okay. Well, I'mma head back in.

JUSTIN: K. I'll be in in a bit.

ALEX: Hey! Don't keep your girlfriend waiting!

JUSTIN laughs as ALEX exits. JUSTIN stands against the wall, shaking his head and smiling.

MALCOLM and ARMAMENT stand in front of the door. MALCOLM looks to ARMAMENT. Without saying a word, ARMAMENT picks up some dust on his thumb. He spreads it around the lock of the door, and then backs up. He stands with his arms crossed facing the street.

ARMAMENT: Back away from the door.

MALCOLM: What? Oh, sh-!

MALCOLM flails his way down the stairs and covers his ears. The lock makes a small explosion, with sparks and a puff of smoke. It's quite loud. ARMAMENT doesn't react, yet MALCOLM flinches.

MALCOLM: Fuck!

Back in the hallway, there is a faint boom. JUSTIN looks up, confused.

MALCOLM and ARMAMENT look through the circular hole where the lock was.

MALCOLM: Shit. The two open the door and walk in. Let the whole place know we're here, why don't you?

ARMAMENT: Don't worry. There's nobody here.

MALCOLM: Yeah, until there is someone here.

ARMAMENT: Can you please let me do my job? I know what I'm doing.

MALCOLM: Jesus. Okay. Doesn't seem like you do.

ARMAMENT(sighing): Can we go?

MALCOLM: Yeah.

The two pull out their guns and begin to casually walk around the school. Meanwhile, 'Sinnerman' by Nina Simone begins as JUSTIN, growing more concerned, looks back before moving toward the noise. There is a montage of MALCOLM and ARMAMENT walking through the building and JUSTIN trying to find them. As he begins to hear footsteps, JUSTIN picks up a ruler from a nearby classroom. He eventually finds the two, and begins slowly tailing them. Eventually, the two groups stand across from each other, with JUSTIN looking down on them walking by from the top of a staircase. Unfortunately, his ruler hits the railing and makes noise. JUSTIN quickly recoils as MALCOLM and ARMAMENT stop and look up to see him. They stare at each other for a bit before the chorus kicks in and the two raise their guns and shoot. JUSTIN tries to cover himself and move away, getting shot in the process. He makes it behind the corner, and MALCOLM and ARMAMENT lower their guns and look at each other.

MALCOLM: Nobody here, huh?

MALCOLM begins walking up the stairs, ARMAMENT shortly following. Back in the lunchroom, the guests are startled by the gunshots.

ALEX: The hell was that?

LESLIE: It came from upstairs.

CASSANDRA: Let's go!

CASSANDRA and LESLIE run out of the room.

ALEX: Wha-? Fuck. He follows.

A wounded JUSTIN attempts to regain his composure and retreats. He runs through the halls, the two attackers on his heels. He is able to lose them, leaving the two in an open foyer looking around.

MALCOLM: Shit! This isn't good. If he alerts the police, we're-

ARMAMENT: Calm down! I'll go after him, you keep looking for the gem!

MALCOLM: Are you kidding me!?

ARMAMENT: For God's sake, go get the gem! I know what I'm doing!

MALCOLM: Yeah, you said that last time.

The two split up. Cut back to ALEX, CASSANDRA, and LESLIE running through the halls. They find a wounded JUSTIN leaning against a wall.

LESLIE: Fuck!

ALEX: The hell happened!?

JUSTIN: These two fuckers attacked me.

CASSANDRA: Jesus. Get him up!

ALEX helps up JUSTIN and rests him on his shoulder.

JUSTIN: I had it under control, y'know.

ALEX: Oh, yeah, sure you—

ARMAMENT comes around the corner as he says this and raises his gun.

LESLIE: Look out!

She grabs them and pulls them behind a corner as a bullet hits the wall.

JUSTIN: Jesus!

CASSANDRA: You said there were two, right?

JUSTIN: Yeah, there's another dude with an AR. He went looking for something.

CASSANDRA: The gem.

ALEX: The what?

CASSANDRA: I'll go find him. You stay here.

She exits back the way they came.

JUSTIN: Wha-?

ALEX: I'm gonna go get my suit. Be right back! He exits as well

JUSTIN: Thanks!

LESLIE: C'mon.

She picks up JUSTIN and begin running down the halls. CASSANDRA catches a glimpse of MALCOLM at the other end of a hall, and follows him.

CASSANDRA: Hey! stop!

She runs around the corner but sees ALEX standing in front of her.

CASSANDRA: The hell...? Alex?

ALEX: What're you doing here? I told you to stay together.

CASSANDRA: You didn't— Oh, fuck me.

CASSANDRA goes in for a punch, but MALCOLM blocks her and hits her in the stomach. She staggers back, but then goes back in. She dodges another punch, and hits MALCOLM across the head. They continue fighting for a bit, and eventually CASSANDRA gets on top of MALCOLM, who has turned back into himself. She outstretches her hand, which is glowing a deep blue. MALCOLM grabs it, and kicks CASSANDRA off him. He then gets up, grabs her, and slams her head into the wall, knocking her out. MALCOLM heaves and picks up his gun.

ARMAMENT is walking through the halls, gun raised. Still walking, he calls MALCOLM.

ARMAMENT: Subject-013, have you found it?

MALCOLM is walking down an empty hall.

MALCOLM: I told you, it's Malcolm! And no, I haven't found anything. Oh, hold on.

A hero comes up in front of him, a sword in his hand, yelling. MALCOLM shoots him and he slumps over.

MALCOLM: What exactly am I looking for, here?

ARMAMENT: I told you, the-

MALCOLM: Yeah, yeah, the gem. But what does it look like?

ARMAMENT: Well, it's purple, and— He hears shouting getting closer behind him. Got to go. I think this mission is compromised.

MALCOLM: Wait, what-? ARMAMENT has already hung up. God dammit.

MALCOLM looks to the body next to him. He shoots it a few times, then moves on.

LESLIE and JUSTIN make it to the front of the school, but ARMAMENT blocks them. He raises his gun, but before he could shoot, he gets hit by something. ALEX, now wearing a metal exoskeleton with all sorts of blades and barrels on it, raises his arms. The two gauntlets on his wrists fire shots at ARMAMENT, who stumbles back with each hit. He is eventually knocked out of the building. The music finally stops. Outside, ARMAMENT gets up, grabs his gun, and staggers to his car and gets in. He calls MALCOLM again.

ARMAMENT: Change of plan. We're leaving.

MALCOLM: What?

ARMAMENT: I said we're leaving.

MALCOLM hesitates.

MALCOLM: Fine. I'm making my way out. Meet me by the field.

ALEX runs over to LESLIE.

ALEX: You guys okay?

LESLIE: Yeah.

JUSTIN: Wait. where's Cass?

ALEX: I don't know. I didn't see her.

JUSTIN: Fuck.

JUSTIN stands up and runs back down the halls.

LESLIE: Wait, Justin!

ALEX picks up LESLIE.

ALEX: C'mon, he's fine.

The two exit.

We see MALCOLM and ARMAMENT in their car under a bridge. Sirens pass. They sit in silence for a bit, before MALCOLM turns and speaks.

MALCOM: Well... That went swell, didn't it?

ARMAMENT: Shut up.

MALCOLM: I mean, how did you not know that—

ARMAMENT(interjecting): Shut up! I didn't know, okay!?

MALCOLM: Funny, since you're supposed to be-

ARMAMENT: It apparently wasn't in my briefing! So can you shut the hell up now!?

They sit in silence again.

ARMAMENT: Now we gotta find a time to go back, preferably a time where we don't get swarmed by heroes.

MALCOLM: We still have that girl in there, right? Why don't we just call her?

ARMAMENT(sighing): Yeah. He pulls out his phone

Another silence.

Cut to CHRIS, who pulls up in front of the school . He bolts in, calling for MALCOLM. He eventually makes it to the cafeteria, where we see ALEX, LESLIE, and the other heroes all wounded. CHRIS looks around in shock.

CHRIS: Oh, shit.

Cut back to JUSTIN, running through the halls, screaming CASSANDRA'S name. Everything slows and Hozier's "In the Woods Somewhere" begins. JUSTIN sees CASSANDRA'S body on the floor. He cries out her name, but we hardly hear it. JUSTIN runs over to her, kneels down, and props her up. He begins crying slowly. After a bit, he picks up the body and walks off. As CHRIS, ALEX, LESLIE, and the heroes walk off, they see JUSTIN somberly carrying CASSANDRA'S body out the door. We zoom in on CHRIS'S look of disbelief.

JUSTIN brings CASSANDRA'S body into the streets, which is surrounded by police cars. From a distance, Sergeant DALY spots JUSTIN, and, thinking he was the one responsible, and calls for him to freeze. JUSTIN stands still for a moment, then slowly puts the body down, gets on his knees, and puts his hands behind his head. We pan out overhead as the police surround JUSTIN.

Cut to black.
