Prologue

In a crowded subway in just another big city, a lone girl stood by herself holding a dazzling smile on her face. She wasn't the most beautiful woman nor was she the cutest, but on that particular day that was the first smile that appeared on that place. To say it was odd would be an understatement, everyone knows that smiling on the subways is weird.

Why was she smiling?

She was going home after a long day at her job and she was about to meet with her online boyfriend.

Her apartment was filled with all sorts of cute things but it didn't feel warm, it wasn't a place for living just for surviving. Everything in that place was single, single was her coffee mug, her one plate, a single chair but thanks to Heavenvalley online she wasn't single anymore.

She met him at the starting village because she liked to help new players get started, but he was clearly more experienced than her. In just a couple hours he reached level 10. In all of her two months playing that game she never saw someone level up so fast and she couldn't help but feel envious because, in spite of her best efforts she was only at level thirteen.

"What should I wear today? I want to make a good impression, it's our first day as a couple." She browsed through the stash at her home. Usually, no one would buy a house in the beginner town but she had never ventured out of it.

"Today I'll be taking you to a dungeon to level up." A friendly and youthful voice came out from a grim looking masculine player and Moryne thought that contrast was hilarious.

"Don't you have anything to say to me?"

"Oh, right. Sorry for being late, I got caught up at work." The friendly voice apologize.

"I meant this." Her avatar took a spun around displaying her richly decorated dress, matching heels and a cute scepter.

"Wow! That looks really expensive, you could sell it and buy some proper equipment." He said with a genuine tone of admiration.

Moryne muted her microphone, let go of the mouse and leaned back on her gaming chair. "Why don't men get it? They're always so busy rushing for quests and stupid stuff when they could simply enjoy the game!"

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

She would have liked to say that, but since they were just starting their relationship it wasn't appropriate.

She followed her boyfriend's avatar to a place she had never been before, the dark forest of Grimar where the entrance to the first dungeon. The scenery was dark and creepy, it was worlds apart from the ever sunny village of Linnaban where she lived.

"I don't think i can do it." She said.

"Don't be afraid, uhh... babe. I'll always protect you."

That was enough to make her happy, especially the shy tone he used and she kept on following him. But then a monster ambushed them and she yelled to the top of her lungs. The next thing she knew she was in a strange place, blank and mysterious and an ominous voice spoke to her.

"Welcome, child."

"What is this place? Are you an alien? did you abduct me? Take me back home right now!"

"I can't do that because you died."

"It's not possible, I was playing with my boyfriend and..."

"And a low level monster startled you and your heart couldn't take it. But fear not, I've been watching you..."

"What a creep!"

"What!? No! It's my job!" The ominous voice became more casual, in all of his eternity he had never been called a creep before.

"I see... so you're a professional creep."

"Listen, I'm a god and I don't have time for this. Do you want to reincarnate or not?"

"No! My life was finally starting to become better, I want to go back and keep playing!"

"What if I told you I can send you to the world of the game you were playing?"

Moryne thought about it for a few minutes. She ran away from an abusive home and was forced to drop out of school, she worked hard to put her life together and now that everything seemed right, now that she even had a boyfriend, her life came to an end. However, the thought of being sent to the world of her game didn't sound so bad, she could live a peaceful life in the Linnaban village but something troubled her.

"What about the monsters? I don't like fighting."

"I can't do anything about the monsters." The voice replied.

"Some god you are." She scoffed.

To give her a chance to survive in that perilous world, the god offered her a cheat but that proved to be quite a challenge.

"Great sword of absolute destruction? No, it's ugly. What's this?"

"It's a spell called molecular extermination, it allows you to..."

"Nope."

"What about the scepter of eternal life?"

"It's so ugly!"

"Maybe increased stats? With infinite strength you could kill any monster."

"I don't want to have a six pack!" She pouted.

"You know what, I'm done with you! I'll send you there and you can ask for your cheat later."

She disappeared in a flash of light and appeared in a peaceful prairie with colorful flowers and bright sunshine. It was the picture perfect scenery if it wasn't for the Blobblers, the weakest kind of slime monster in the game. Six Blobbers drew closer by the second, with cute little hops though Moryne was deathly afraid of them.

"Eeeeek! Hun save me!" She shrieked.
