Eldralyl: big ol mysterious dragon that sees THETAs portal in chapter two, she is a loveable red dragon, four eyes, front paws have thumbs, as most dragons do, classic fire dragon, but has a calm temperament when classified documents aren't being leaked. Has more armored scales than most
Human form: pretty, but not supermodel status. Not as vain as most dragons, but can still steal a lyndwyrms (teen dragons) heart. Red hair, two horns that sweep back, and wings and tail.
Zeilem, the three eyed and innocent: misunderstood squeezable dargo who just wants to do the best he can and keeps messin up. Very happy when praised, and absurdly good programmer. (get a good program in three easy steps! dwarves hate him!) unusually shy when not being confronted. Messed up pretty badly once and almost caused a radical faction to gain access to system killing materials. Young for a dragon, at ~200 years
human form: looks like a bodybuilder, but not absurdly ripped, still needs to be a reliable programmer, and thinks that being too strong would mean its easier to damage his “babies”. X shaped scar near left hairline behind eye, where his removed eye would be in dragon form.
Pyre: good boi trying to make sure that his mother is taking enough time to keep her mental health stable, being a CEO of an inter-solar-system company is stressful! Wants to be a big brother sometime so he wouldn’t be bothering his mother so much. 50, years old, still very much a child
T.H.E.T.A.: Acendant A.I. program, dedicated to studying universal pockets
(there is only one universe, some call it the multiverse, but its actually the true one universe. All possible realities exist within, those that dont are imagined by sentient species, and then after that, have always existed.) also manages portals connecting these universes, though sometimes gets distracted by CARETAKER.
CARETAKER: Spoilers!
Creators: the species CARETAKER comes from.
Main Character: stumbled upon a permanent portal construct, fucked around, found out, and now is falling to their death next to their old body, also used to be a boy, now unknown species and gender. Also came from earth, as usual for isekais.
SYSTEM: a magic tool dedicated to helping with magic. Self aware, can hold conversations if it wants to
Lyndwyrm: child-teen stage of any dragon, the “preparation” phase where a dragon will learn everything they need to know to survive, it is armored to all hell with only bone like plates and spikes on the surface, and can go “hedgehog mode” and curl up while extending spikes made of toxic metals like lead and such, when scared. Will stay back-legless and wingless until they grow enough, then will metamorphosize Into a dragon by hardening their bone plates into a second “egg”
If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
Their human forma look like a lamia, with metamorphisis allowing them the extra option of legs whenever they want
human forms are customizable, the more a race changes over a lifetime the more flexible it can be, however, you cannot completely change your face and gender, only apply “makeup”
Hoards: dragons keep hoards. Common knowledge, but the reason is the hatchlings. Hatchlings need a constant supply of rare earth materials, metals, and magical materials. Yes, mithrill is tasty snacc. Otherwise hatchlings go slightly insane and start eating any suitably hard material they can find. If they eat uranium and other such radioactive materials, without consuming lead before, they die, so this led to hoards being made to regulate a hatchlings intake of scale materials.
Tl;DR: hoards are baby dragon food
Secondary hoards: this is the place where grown dragons hoard things like art, scientific items, keepsakes, and trinkets that they like. Usually they are less glamourous than the main hoard, and reflect a dragons personality and intrests.
Mid-Worlds: mid-evil type worlds with one interstellar junction on its surface, kept low-tech to let people experience a “fantasy” setting, and almost completely independent from interstellar governments
Hi-worlds: completetly hi-tech worlds, either suburban, urban or industrial. Industrial hi-worlds are otherwise uninhabitable even after terraforming, and so used to make necessities
reincarnation: not exactly traditional, gods exist, but ascendent ai usually handle souls and boring tasks
reincarnates will sometimes just have their souls shoved into whatever form is avalible or most compatible/productive, sometimes there are unusual creatures in the reincarnation cycle. These creatures will be put into “slimes” meant to copy their old form so they can be studied, but it requires some original material to be close, ( this is a problem for the mc, as THETA fucked up so badly, that mo usable material is left.)
the reincarnation “pods” are made purely of mana and “stem cells” that will copy the first sentient creature they come across. They will then change some genetic material, if the creature is living, to be unique and resemble a child more than a copy. The new being is still able to be influenced by a secondary “perent” after this, and will replace the randomized code with the new DNA, as long as it is not a child of the primary parent, and the primary parent is in a relationship with the secondary. Information from the primary parent is subconsciously scanned, or sensed, by the pod to determine a secondary parent
Earth: monitored simply for the memes and entertainment they produce, only permanent portal had… *cough* “malfunctioned”… only monitoring and content from this universe, reasons for malfunction is (obviously) the mc stumbling across something incomprehensible to them, fucking around, and finding out.
semi sentients: beings that are aware of the concept of “self” and “other” and have free will, but cannot conciously manipulate their bodies to a great extent.
sentients: species capable of manipulating their bodies to optimize for a task, such as when running, able to optimize heart rate and breathing to last longer. Takes a very long time to reach this point.
