Few days later, both Nekomi and Mason were told to meet at a place in Geneva then they were taken into a car up the Alps. After they arrive on top of a mountain, they see an entrance to a cave with steel doors in front. The door opened, the car entered the cave, revealing a massive base with people looking at the footage of the sentient cars, people figuring out what is going on, and most importantly a huge garage with many tools available to fix any problem with any car. The two walk through the garage seeing three Rally2 cars, one is a Skoda that appears to be for them, one is a Citroen C3, and the other is a Ford Fiesta.
“It seems that we do have some company.” Nekomi wondered. They were led to what it appears to be a canteen with a huge glass window looking into the snowy alps. The place is empty except for a table with two boys, one with white hair and the other with light gray.
Mason whispers, “I think I have seen them somewhere before Morven.”
Nekomi replied, “Yeah, are they what we think they are? Tommi and Kimi?”
“You mean the Fubuki brothers that drove a Fiesta and came second?”
“Yeah I do think so, I remember them being half Finnish half Japanese so they beat all of us at their home rally by almost a minute.”
“Man I wish we could jump that fast, their car seems to be flying back then.”
“Bro, all you did is complaining how much your butt hurts while landing each time and I can’t hear the pacenotes while you scr-”
“Shhhhh--- they might hear us”
They then sit next to the two boys and they try to start a conversation with both of them but all they get is that they are in fact the brothers that they were thinking about by simply nodding their heads.
A few minutes later two more boys came, and one of them exclaimed.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“Bonjour, my fellow friends, what are you guys doing here?”
They were participating in the ERC alongside Mason and Morven driving a Citroen C3, the driver Sébastien Polnareff with Pierre Renaud as his sidekick. They finished 4th in the championship and they met together during the competition and became friends.
“Hey how come you guys are here?” Nekomi exclaimed, but as he was being happy to see his friends, he accidentally revealed his cat ears to the other people in the room.
“Uhhh… bro, your neko ears are showing.” Mason reminded him.
Nekomi immediately blushed as he panicked while trying to hide his own neko ears, a sound has finally been made by one of the Finnish brothers.
“It's alright” Tommi gently muttered “But since only us can see this, I guess it's time for us to open up ourselves.”
Then the brothers proceed to reveal a pair of fox ears up their heads.
“Sacre bleu! You guys can do that? We can do the same!” as Sébastien said while revealing his own neko ears while Pierre showing his bunny ears.
“Well if you guys are the same, well don’t mind if I do.” said Mason while showing his fox ears.
This is apparent that this has become a secret between those boys and the Finnish brothers finally talked more with their new teammates. While they were talking a woman in a suit walked in, 6 of them immediately hid their own ears.
“Hello gentlemen, I am Michèle, I am the head of this foundation, please come with me, we are going to have a talk.” They all went into a meeting room with a long table with monitors showing the recent sightings. In her seat at the end of the table there is a sign with her name with a model of an Audi Quattro on the side. They all sat down and Michèle continued to talk.
“I believe all of you know that there are cars moving by themselves for no apparent reason, hence why we are here. So now the drivers and their co-drivers are here, now I must tell you what to do.” She stands up and starts walking around. “These cars do move pretty fast compared to what an average human can do in a car, hence why I need racing drivers to help me capture them and be investigated. Now you all can clearly see footage of previous sightings, so from now on til the next sighting, you guys can come up with ideas on how to do that, there are no stupid ideas, just say whatever seem fit.”
Sébastien glanced at all those videos and noticed a connection between them, then he said, “Am I the only one that noticed that they are all sports cars, and cars with some racing heritage?”
Michèle exclaimed, “Ahh! Glad you noticed, let me tell you all a secret of mine, I used to be in Group B rally racing driving an Audi.” As she pats at the Audi toy model in front of her. “We all are racing drivers at some point so we can probably notice this, do you guys feel some cars just feel different, I mean except how good they were built and how fast they could go. Some just feel to have personality and some have feelings, they just feel human sometimes. Do you guys feel that or am I just crazy?” All six of them nodded their heads.
“Glad I am not the only one, anyways, I wonder when certain cars are built, especially sports cars, they are built by people with passion and they do tend to show emotion making them. Maybe, just maybe, the emotions that went into them just makes them sentient all of a sudden.”
In the middle of the meeting, a person enters the room, gives Michèle a folder and whispers to her. She immediately stood up and said, “We found one boys, let's get going.”
