Chapter 2: Dedicated and Smart Nokotan
"ARGGHHHH!!" Nokotan lifts a dumbbell made of a pencil and two erasers on the bottom and top.
"How was that heavy and why did you suddenly want to drop some sweat off?" Koshitan glares as scrolling through her phone.
Nokotan's jaw dropped down to the floor, shocked by Koshitan's question. She choked out, "It's Black Friday soon. You didn't know? How?"
This time, it was Koshitan who was surprised, "Don't how me, Shikanoko- How was I supposed to know that? But I got to say, I didn't know you have a girl-ish side in you."
Nokotan slowly flowed tears, "You're- You're my caretaker… Why didn't you know that," she sniffed in back snots that started to flow out.
Note: This dramatic scene went on for about an hour. The resolution was that Koshitan agreed to help the dedicated Nokotan. A few days later…
"Oi, did you really train for only 3 days?" Koshitan looked at Nokotan with a judging look.
A deep voice answered, "Huh? How long does it take to train and look like this? Buffed everywhere! Hahaha!" She did a strength test by lifting Koshitan and putting it on her shoulder.
"Let me go!" Koshitan cried.
"Nah, we're going now. If I let you run, I will grow old first for you to reach our destination!" She sprinted and (probably) broke the world record already.
The next minute, they'd reached their destination. It was the park, full of deer in different colors, variations, and sizes. They were all glaring at a stand, with a board written, "Promotion! 80% off for Deer Crackers with limited stocks!"
Koshitan's aura started going off the chart, "Did I really waste my time for this?" Her motivation faded away. [This wasn't the first time she got used, anyway]
"Don't you sigh, girl. If it's deer crackers- no such word as waste would fit!" She took out a deer cracker from her pocket and ate it.
Then, strong winds woosh the whole park. Koshitan took a look at Nokotan…
"AH! Shikanoko, you're- back to normal! Whatever, I'll go back home. By the way, you do know we still have about 5 boxes of deer crackers yet untouched right?" Koshitan screamed then walked home. This was (again) very tiring for her.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"Nun?" Nokotan puzzled. [She said "Really?" in Shika's]
Another note: She just got trampled by hundreds of deers and missed the promotion. Poor Nokotan, all that hard work has gone to waste...
Meanwhile, in the background.
Two veterans were sitting together, rounding a table. Both of them were so focused on their chess game that they didn't realize what was happening in the park.
One of them made a move and smirked at the other one. "Haramada, I had checkmated you."
Mr. Haramada bites his lip, fidgeting his hand on the table, "Give me time, can you?"
His chess partner smiled, shaking with excitement. His eyes became red as the shaking intensified. Probably he got attacked by some symptom [don't worry he's not going to die].
As Mr. Haramada was anxiously, squeezing his brains off- Nokotan popped next to him, "Nun!"
This time, she's wearing a suit that business people wear. She scoffed and smiled, "Let me take over this game," she pushed away Mr. Haramada and he flew away and hit a tree.
Mr. Haramada rose and walked to Nokotan, bowing intensely with 30 bows per second, "THANK YOU!" He repeated for about 20 times.
Nokotan patted Mr. Haramada and said, "It's my job anyway. Don't mention it."
Mr. Haramada's chess partner was still shaking in jolly, only time would tell when he would get epilepsy.
Mr. Haramada, wipes his sweat, "Do you think you would lose fighting him?"
Nokotan gave a simple response with a smirk, "Nah, I'd win," she took the antler on the right and put it on the board.
Every single piece was thrown and flew away out of the board. Leaving only the antler, stood proudly.
The other old man, screamed, "NO! I lost!" He finally got knocked out from the build-up of epilepsy.
Mr. Haramada in tears, thanked Nokotan and bowed intensely once again, occasionally hitting the table.
Nokotan smiled, her face as if were shining, "It's only natural for me to help a fellow chess player."
Mr. Haramada stopped crying, "What's your name, dear?" Nokotan already was walking away.
She replied while waving to the man from behind, "My name is not important, may we meet again old man."
She disappeared into the light, never to be seen again (only for Mr. Haramada)
That night, Koshitan was in her sleeping gown sitting on the couch with a warm tea in her hand. She took a sip and opened the TV.
It was a news channel, it broadcast a headline that caught her attention. She read it out loud, "A new player, Nokotan officially became the number one chess player in Japan…"
"WHAT?!" She sprayed the tea and the TV was now wet.
Anko appeared from behind the TV, smiling with a malice face, "Finally, the time has come- I can take my beloved sister's saliva, fresh!"
