While he was waiting for his pack of bread and pastries to arrive, he drank his coffee to pass time and browsed some stuff on his phone.

Recess time.
“Your homework.” A hand reached out to her.
“Ah, here. Thank you.”
The assigned student who was tasked to collect the homework took Yuna’s homework from Yuna’s hands.
“Phew, finally. I’m glad I was able to finish it on time.” Yuna stretched her hands upwards.
“That’s why you should have done your homework in advance.”
“Shush. It’s all in the past now. Don’t dig it up.” Yuna looked at the girl seated right next to her.
“Is that so~?” She giggled.
“Yup~”
“Oh, by the way, have you heard about the new snack shop nearby that just recently opened up?” She asked.
“A new snack shop? I just heard of that just now!” Yuna exclaimed.
“I heard that they are selling some especially good tasting snacks there!” She said with eyes of excitement and drool in her mouth.
“Woahhhh!!!” Similarly, Yuna was drooling along with her as well.
“Hey, hey, Khate, let’s go there later!” Yuna said with excitement.
“Shall we?!”
“Yeah!!!”
The two of them held hands while excitedly talking about what pastries and snacks to get later after school dismissed them.
While Yuna and Khate were excitedly discussing what snacks to get, Grey Landshert approached them.
“What are you guys on about?”
“Oh, it’s Grey. We were talking about the newly opened snack shop nearby.” Khate answered.
“Yeah! We’re planning to go there later!” Yuna said, anticipating for the school to finish.
“Oh, are you guys planning to go there after dismissal?”
“Mhm!” The two girls responded simultaneously.
“Hmm…” Grey Landshert slightly tilted his head and touched his chin, seemingly thinking about something.
“...?” The two girls looked at him.
“Ok! How about this! I’ll treat you guys if you let me join you!” Grey grinned.
“Huh!? Really!! Ok, you’re in!!!” Yuna readily agreed.
“Me too!!! I agree!!!” Khate readily agreed as well.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
“Oh, class is starting. Anyways, it’s decided. It’s a deal!” Grey smiled cheerily.
“No problem!” Yuna gave him a thumbs up. Khate also gave him a thumbs up.

“Here are your pack of pastries and bread, Laden.” Kei handed him a package of pastries and a paper bag with different kinds of bread in it.
“Oh, thank you.” Laden thanked Kei and received it carefully.
“No problem! You are always welcome. And as for the price, they are free of charge. The shopkeeper has agreed with it as well. You can pay the next time you visit.” She smiled.
“Is that so, thank you.” Laden smiled in response.
“Hehe. You’re welcome.” She chuckled.
Laden stood up from his seat and prepared to leave, “I’ll get going then. See you again, Kei, Max, and shopkeeper.”
“Take care. Come visit again.” Max said.
“Come visit again.” The shopkeeper smiled.
“Yeah! Come visit again, Laden!” Kei waved her hand goodbye.
Laden nodded.
—Ding!
He exited the bakery shop.
“Now then, where should we go next? Ah, before that, let’s check the time.” He took out his cellphone and looked at the time.
It was 9:45 am in the morning.
“Still quite early huh… I guess I’ll take these to the car first.” Laden mumbled.
He put down his phone back to his pocket and proceeded to walk to the parking lot.
A few minutes later…
He arrived at the parking lot, found his car, took his car key, and unlocked it.
Beep, beep!
Clack!
He opened the door of the passenger’s seat beside the driver’s seat in the car. He then put down the package of pastries and the paper bag that was full of different kinds of bread in it, inside the car carefully. After putting down the package of pastries and the paper bag with different kinds of bread in it, he closed the door, grabbed his car key again, and locked it.
Beep!
Clack!
“Ok, since it’s still early, let’s just wander around the mall to see if there is something interesting.” Laden crossed his arm.
He then left the parking spot.
Just as he was near the entrance, he seemingly forgot if he had locked the car or not. So he came back to the parking lot and checked once again. This time, remembering that he locked it, calmly entered the mall with a relieved mind.

“That’s all for today. Enjoy your lunch break. See you guys in class tomorrow.”
The students stood up, bowed their heads, and said, “Thank you very much, Sir! Have a nice day!”
The teacher nodded and waved his hand to the students as he left.
“Ahhh..!! Finally, it’s lunch break!” Yuna stretched her hands upwards.
“Hey Yuna, let’s eat together!~” Yuna’s seatmate, Khate, said.
“Ok~” Yuna agreed.
—Ding!
“Hm? Wait a minute, there’s a notification on my phone.”
“Ok!”
She grabbed her phone in her pocket and turned it on.
“Eh? A message?”
She then swiped up her lockscreen, entered her password, and unlocked it. After unlocking it, she checked to see who messaged her.
“Oh, it’s from my brother.” Yuna said in her mind.
She then tapped the message icon and read the message her brother sent her.
Laden: “I’m at school. Let’s eat together :)”
Seeing the message, she replied.
Yuna: Ok! :DD Can I bring a friend with me as well? We agreed to eat lunch together!╰(*°▽°*)╯
Laden: Sure! 👍
She put down her phone and placed it back in her pocket. She turned around and looked at Khate, “Khate, my brother is here! Let’s eat lunch together with him!”
“Eh, really? Let’s go!” Khate was delighted to hear that.
“Then let’s go to the cafeteria now!”
“Yeah!”
They headed to the school cafeteria with their lunch box and water bottle, and any other necessary things to bring.
Meanwhile, Laden was at the school cafeteria near the grade school building. While waiting for Yuna and her friend to arrive, he prepared the package of pastries that Kei prepared and gave to him earlier at the bakery shop in the mall. He neatly placed them on the table. The pastries that he got were especially and meticulously picked by Kei. It included a strawberry shortcake, creampuffs, macarons, and lastly assorted tarts of different flavors. All of them look luxurious and especially expensive.
FYI, the bakery shop was actually famous for their pastries and bread. At busy hours, they get a lot of queue just for people to taste their pastries and bread. It just so happened that Laden visited the bakery shop at such a lucky time where there were not many customers around yet.
“Now, all that’s left is to wait for Yuna.” Laden thought.
