Volume 2 Afterword

Afterwords are breaks for me. Gets me off a week to publishing and to muse about the past volume before writing ahead into the future.

At this point, Pandora's box is beginning to unravel. The story can walk into any tangent, and I try to keep it flexible while maintaining a certain consistency.

The focus was on Gale in volume two because he had a lot of backstories to tell. There are still tons to know about Gale, but we will begin developing the other characters moving forward.

In the following volumes, we will explore relationships, and how it affects the story. One of the things I like about stories is how they tug at our heartstrings. It’s the kind of bittersweet melancholy that stirs me up. I’m quite sure this thread will run through the following volumes, and we’ll see how these characters respond to different scenarios.

Having overpowered characters are a dime and a dozen these days. I watched animes, read light novels, and found out that people gravitate to overpowered characters.

This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.

I wonder why.

I don’t want anybody to be overpowered for the sake of being overpowered, especially for Aunt May and Gale. Aunt May can have her own book, which I might write if this story is popular enough. I have done enough background drafts for Aunt May, and I am confident that her story wouldn’t pale in comparison against Gale and Clere.

Kasumi Mizushima remains a fan-favorite. Everybody likes Kasumi. Me too. But Clere’s development is going to feature more and more. I can’t ice the female lead over Gale’s love interest.

Love troubles are brewing for Gale. He’s getting more and more shine, but that’s going to be in proportion to the difficulties he is going to face.

I have set Rei and Yumiko aside, and it could continue for a while. They are going to be important, but Gale had too much to handle at the moment. The boy’s got a training camp for first years while Rei and Yumiko are his seniors, and so they won’t be at the same camp.

I’m so looking forward to Volume 3. It’s been a blast writing, and as much as I enjoyed myself, I hope you’re enjoying yourself as well.

Happy reading!
