Without any knowledge of what was to come next my father opened our room door.

“Father what's going on, Why is that man yelling at us?”

My mother started pulling me, though I wasn’t entirely sure what was going on at the time. Today marked my 12th birthday, even so there was nothing but loud explosions and screams like out of a film.

“What is all of this, you pull me out of my bed, for what? I have an important meeting tomorrow!”

There was a angry man that seemed to be in his 40s or 50s yelling at the guy who was talking earlier. I couldn’t exactly make out his appearance or even the man that was yelling earlier due to my parents blocking my vision. 

“Back up old man before I blow you in two!”

“So now you youngins walk around saying you're going to shoot people if they don't listen. TO HELL WITH YOU, YOU DAMN TERRORIST.”

“Ha”

I couldn’t tell what was going on, I only heard the man yelling and then out of nowhere I had a life ring around me and I got tossed into the cold rocky blue waters underneath me.

“Sorry son”

SPLASH

“Mom? Dad?”

That's right mom and dad are gone, no no no no no. It can’t be how could they be gone, this makes no sense, why did it have to be them. This is supposed to be a happy and blissful day for someone who has aged a whole year, and yet I’m here, I didn’t ask for this, please BRING THEM BACK.

“My body is so cold and these waves aren’t letting up, it feels like i'm falling asl-”

“MOM DAD! Wait, this isn’t my house, where am I?”

What? there's someone behind me?

He's laughing about me being passed out? So you're telling me I wake up and have a man that looks to be in his 40s laughing at me being passed out?

“Wait…. Where are they!?”

“Your parents, I assume is who you're talking about.”

“How did yo- never mind that, where am I and who are you?”

How did I even get here? Wasn’t I just in the middle of the ocean? I was on some life raft thing and then I blacked out because of the strong currents and cold water.

“Well ki-”

“Dad let him relax, he just woke up. Here, have some tea.”

“What? He asked”

I was still dazed by what was going on so I wasn’t completely paying attention to the situation but these two seem to be so kind. This tall girl with long black hair is smiling at me and handing me a cup of tea.

“Aww he's so cute”

“Listen kid i'm sure you already know this but just to back track here, a 1.7million dollar cruise ship was blown to bits and yet none in 5 mile radius was seen alive, somehow a little boy between the age 10-14 was found unconscious on an island with a life ring.”

“H-How did you know?”

“HAHA, It’s my job kid”

His job? What does he mean?

“I MUST KNOW! No, I have to know, I will find out who did this to my parents!”

“HAHAHA You kid I like you, let's team up.”
