(3rd Person POV)
Roxana Agriche was sitting in her room pondering on her current situation which was worse than before the arrival of Aston Phoenix. She never thought it could have been worse but it is now. After the incident caused by the crown prince, Lant Agriche sent her and Jeremy Agriche to their own respective rooms.
She managed to retain her composure in front of the crown prince and other people, maintaining a calm persona acting as if the situation in front of her didn't bother her mind at all but her heartbeat betrayed that fact.
After her maid had left the room after aiding her in cleaning her bloody face, her legs gave out from under her and she collapsed on the floor.
Her entire face became pallid. Her whole body was trembling with fear and dread, as her thoughts were roaming in the immediate past.
She remembered that moment...
The eyes that looked at her when she was being kissed on the hand were inhumane.
Those feral eyes looked as if they could devour her entire being in just a moment.
Since her childhood, Roxana had been able to recognise people's emotions and their motives by the look of their eyes. This was due to the circumstances she faced at that age and what she had to suffer.
She could easily judge it in people like Jeremy Agriche, Lant and many high ranking people she had met. Commoners and nobles were like an open book to her because they were human.
They were predictable.
She could even see emotions in the eyes of Dion Agriche who was the coldest person she had ever met in her life.
Every person she had met till then had atleast some form of human characteristics, the desires, the seven sins that ruled upon the human race.
But the moment she looked in the eyes of Aston Phoenix, she felt terrified for her life.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Her soul itself shook as she tried to examine for any weaknesses she could use.
Any flicker in his eyes betraying his interest in her, any twitch in his arms betraying his power, any gasp of breath betraying his power limit.
But...
Nothing...
She couldn't perceive anything she could use to her advantage.
The only thing she could see in those eyes were malevolent, chaotic and rapacious tendencies.
Those cold eyes were bottomless, and it dragged her beneath.
Even Dion, the person she hated the most in her life and believed to be the cruellest didn't exude such negative energy.
And when she was probing him she felt like he knew what she was trying to do.
He knew about her...
He knew everything about her...
It quivered her heart to think that someone may know about her reincarnation or even something she may want to hide from everyone around her, her plan to escape the prison called the Agriches.
These thoughts roamed her mind for dozens of minutes but she gradually calmed herself down.
She took a deep breath and stood up.
She walked to the chair in her room while stumbling as she couldn't walk properly due to her weak knees.
After she reached it, she sat on it and leaned back.
A deep sigh exhaled from her mouth...
She couldn't be scared for much more time...
Her life was at stake here...
She began considering her chances of survival.
First of all, the chances of using her original idea to live after helping Cassis Pedelian escape was down in the dumps.
She knew that was an option that had a minuscule chance of being successfully executed. First of all, Cassis Pedelian is locked up in a place to which she has no access to.
Her father won't allow her to visit him when the crown prince is still here.
And the crown prince announced that he is here to bring back Cassis Pedelian.
She would be happy before this incident if she knew that the crown prince is here to bring the prince of the blue back to Pedelian territory.
That will mean that there is a low chance of Sylvia Pedelian going berserk in the Agriche territory.
Jeremy is also not like his counterpart in the novel who will go against the wishes of her sister.
But the event at dinner time has thrown all the possible things outside the window.
This is due to the presence of an unpredictable factor who is Aston Phoenix.
Aston Phoenix did a horrendous action today which could be compared to the Agriches itself.
He was one of the few who had now come on her hate list. She despised people who thought of people's lives as nothing.
He apparently didn't care much about them. In her view, he was a detestable but extremely strong person.
He used some kind of magic that killed every person he wanted to die in the vicinity. She couldn't even react to it.
In a battle with him, she will be definitely be the one to die.
She now knew why her father warned about him so much.
He was a person capable of destroying their whole family on his own.
She had realized that he won't try to conceal his attempt of destroying the Agriches. He will attack them ruthlessly and then make a facade for the public. The people will listen to him like flocks of helpless sheep.
There is a phrase that is used for such situations.
'Nobody will notice if there is nobody to notice.'
He coukd just kill every person here and he definitely won't have any qualms about that.
She has only one choice in this situation, she needs to stay away from Aston Phoenix.
If she just maintains her distance from him, then she may be able to counter the danger from him.
She could have tried to use him but it was too dangerous, too many unpredictable factors, one small mistake means her death.
She wasn't willing to undertake that decision.
He was a danger to her survival...
This thought had taken residence in her mind, whether it was permanent or temporary.
