“Awh~ really Kosu? So you don’t trust me?” She says innocently, pressing her chest against a man's stomach.
“Hahah.. Well I didn’t say that. Uhm, I guess if you're serious.. Ah..” He hesitates, pulling a key out from his pocket.
“Don’t stress so much, I’ll be sure to help you relax once we get in there.” Somba's eyes reflectively gaze up at him and his hands start to shake.
“Fine fine.. Just uh, keep quiet, I’d rather the other guys not get a hold of you.”
She smirks. “So you want me all to yourself? Charming..”
He reaches up to the back of his head and begins to scratch it, moving the key towards the door.
“Heheh, I guess, just keep quiet. We’ll have a fun night, don’t you worry. Not to brag but- Uck-” A loud crack of wood smashes against the back of his head.
She glares down at his unconscious body.
“Snh.. how pathetic… greedy, no self control, and easily manipulated, how am I supposed to feel bad?” She swipes the key from his hand and ties him to a fence outside. “That’ll do fine..”
Her body pivots, taking a sweeping glance around her surroundings to ensure she’s alone. She quickly clicks the key in, and quietly steps inside, making herself as discreet as possible.
No one is here.. Huh?
Her ears catch noise and she turns towards it before she can even register what it is.
“Hm.. I’m telling you! I’ve told you a thousand times! Unless we resort to torcher, he’s not gonna say a thing. It doesn't matter if we beat him half to death or not.”
Those bastards..
She silently tip toes towards the room causing the sound and her hand slowly grips her gun.
Mm.. no.. I don’t fight, if I pulled a gun they’d be so disappointed in me..
She puts her ear against the door, then backs away, pulling a metal bat from her bag.
Phew.. I can do this.. No matter what they say.
“Ohh~ you~.. Kosu you’re surprisingly buff…” She says seductively, hearing the voices go silent.
“Huh? Hey! Kosu! Are you back already?”
“Hey boss, it sounds like he brought a girl, lucky lucky…”
The door cracks open and she stands subtly to the side of it. As one of them steps out into the room she bashes his face in with her bat.
“Uck-..”
Crack..
A horrible and gruesome sound as they collapse to the floor, she leaps over his body and looks around, deciding her first victim.
“The hell!? How’d you.. Where’s Kosu!?”
“You bastards!” She screams in a fit of rage and sees Hokura’s hands tied to each other with a cloth over his mouth. He lays on the floor in a panic at the sight of her.
She decides to rush the one closer to him, stepping aside to dodge a swing and stabbing the bat into his ribs, hearing a crack.
“Uhg-.. I..”
He collapses to his knees, unable to speak and she swings a lighter hit at the back of his head, forcing him to collapse.
“You’re next.. Tsk.. you dare kidnap one of my family?” She walks towards him and he quickly backs up against a wall.
“P-please please! You can have him! It's okay! We’ll give you money too!”
Truly.. Disgusting, that terrified expression in their eyes when they’re in danger, yet the pleased look they have when they cause anothers suffering..
Her normally beautiful eyes, the shade of bleeding starlight, a sparkling view of bloody petals that burn to embers of a lost field. They glare at him, but rather than beauty, they hold no mercy. Seemingly lifeless and devoid of any light.
“I hate.. Humans… You disgust me!” She screams.
He pushes his back against the wall, scrambling until remembering he has a gun. He quickly reaches for it but she stabs her bat forwards, crushing his hand against the wall.
“Ahck! Shit.. Sh-.. fuck.. Fuck you psycho! You bitch! We’ll remember your damn face when you are forced to be a dirty slut! I’ll.. I’ll remember you!” He struggles to speak over the writhing pain in his hand.
She steps close, meeting his eyes so intensely he falls to an immediate loss of insults.
Not very creative huh..
“Right..” She steps back and he falls to the floor.
She turns her back and he quickly looks down with a smile, reaching for his gun with his other hand, as he feels it, he looks up only milliseconds before receiving a bat to the head.
“That makes four total, all unconscious, none dead… probably..”
Not that I would mind er-.. Sorry, what a reckless thing to say, I don’t stoop low enough to take lives.. I will never..
She pulls out a large knife and slices the restraints on Hokura.
“Wh-f- Are you doing here Somba!? Did you seriously do this without Moru’s-”
“Please- Hokura.. Please stop… I get it, it was reckless to save you but.. Moru disapproved already, I’ll deal with the consequences when we get back, okay?”
He glares in silence and slowly stands up.
“Ahem.. then uhm, thank you, you made it at a good time. I’m mostly unhurt..” He stops there, abiding by her wish to take the presumably same lecture from a harsher person.
“Mhm.. now let's go, nobody’s dead, but they’re definitely out like a light, so let's get out quick. Did you tell them anything about where our place is?”
“No..” He responds.
“I’m glad you're safe then, let's go.”
…
Greedy, cruel, oblivious, self absorbent, people are so.. Disappointing, that’s why I’m here..
Eee– the door creaks open and she somberly steps inside, hearing nobody. She looks back at the door to see their family symbol. It resembles a demon mask, made from crystals.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
In the family, a family of demons.. We aren’t like that, we’re special, we protect the people we love, and have heart in all we do. We’re known as the Moonlight Demons, The symbol is made of crystal because everyone has such beautiful eyes.. Like crystals, or gems.
“Snnn- Hhhh…” She exhales, slipping her shoes off as she reaches her bedroom.
I’ve been here for eight years.. So, I know they’re all good. We’re special.. Or.. that’s what I tell myself anyways.
She falls face first against her bed with a puff sound.
“Snn.. Mmm!” She groans into her blankets loudly.
Clk-clk-..
I don’t wanna answer the door, Moru’s gonna yell at me.. Ugh..
“Yesh-?” She mumbles.
“Oh, so you are in there.”
Oh! It's Uncle Goji!
“Hokura told me what you did, I’m not here to lecture you, I’m here to look at any wounds you might have gotten?”
Mm.. Hmhm~ Fine.
She cheerfully pushes herself up from her bed and unlocks the door, opening it to see immediate regret.
A hand grabs the door, forcing it to stay open..
“Sorry little lady, he knew you weren’t gonna let him in, soo… he asked me to be here.”
“N-no! Damn.. Kh–”
She tries pulling the door closed, and to her sudden shock she nearly manages to overpower him
“Somba!” He yells, she slips and lets go, falling backwards onto the wood.
“Ouch!.. Mnn.. that hurt..”
Moru steps inside with an intense frown and shuts the door.
“Hmh.. That was reckless!..” She flinches at his volume but he then quiets down with a sigh. “Hhh.. Somba, I was worried. I’m glad you and Hokura are safe, if that had gone wrong, I might have lost two members of my family today..”
She sits back up ashamed after hearing the sorrow carried in his tone.
“Moru.. I’m.. I’m really sorry… you can yell at me but I seriously thought I woul.. Er.. no.. I’m-I’m sorry.. I have no excuses..”
He drops to his knees and wraps his arms around her.
“Somba.. You are part of our family… please.. I’m begging you not to be reckless..”
She looks down at his shoulder.
“I’m sorry.. Really.. Why are you hugging me? Can’t you discipline me?” Her guilt speaks loudly but her words are a concise mumble.
Her cheeks grow a soft red as she looks around the room.
“No.. Somba I.. I will not yell. I won’t get mad either.. I’m just thankful you’re okay, and I already have a punishment in place for you.. Yelling isn't enough, it won't teach you to understand the lessons you’re struggling to grasp right now.”
She nods.
“I see.. I guess life lessons aren’t as easy as just being told.. I’m sure there’s a lot I don’t know yet.. Are you gonna have me help with one of your guy’s-”
“No..” He lets go and stands back up, approaching the door. “You’re going to your first day of highschool tomorrow, the process finally went through.”
“Oh.. okay..” She looks down, and then quickly back up. “Excuse me!? What!?” She shouts.
“You heard me, Somba.”
“That’s not fair! I don’t want to be near so many people! It sounds like torture, you know how I feel abou-”
“Ahem.” His voice deepens and he glances back coldly. “You heard me.”
She then nods. “M-mhm.. Ok..”
I can’t seem to say no.. when he gets like there, there’s no way to argue!.. He’s so intense.. It feels like I’m gonna suffocate..
“Yes sir..” She says to correct herself and he leaves the room, letting Goji peek in.
“Alrighty, let's shut this..” The door clicks shut. “Okay, strip.”
“Huh?”
He raises an eyebrow. “What? Did you.. Not hear me?”
“A-ah.. oh.. So you weren’t just a diversion to get him in huh.”
“What? Of course not, obviously that's part of it, but after doing something so risky, obviously I’m gonna check if you have injuries. I have faith in your abilities but.. It's to be safe.”
She stands up and peels her shirt off along with her undershirt, leaving her bra.
“Hmm… turn around. Now arms up.” He goes quiet. “Alright.. Face me, did you get hit at all? Any breathing troubles? You don’t seem to have any bruises on your upper body.”
She shakes her head.
“No hits, I dodged.”
“Hm, good. Now pants off.” She takes off her belt and drops her pants, leaving black underwear.
She begins to look around nervously. “Mmh.. be quicker..”
“Hah- yeah yeah, sure. Eh? What’s that?” He softly touches her hip bone and she pulls away reactively.
“Ouch- Ts..”
“So you did get hit.. Mhm..”
“N-no! Actually..”
He looks up at her face and her ears tint red as she has a bright adorable blush filling her face.
“E-t ep-.. Em.. ehm.. Nnn! I bashed my hip on the door on my way out of the building!”
He stares blankly at her.
“Pf..”
“Don’t!”
“Pfhahahah!~ Oh my god.. So you really managed to beat four grown men in a fight, and save Hotura, but you lose a fight to a door frame!? Hah! Oh man..”
“Nnn.. Hmh..” She crosses her arms and jerks her face away, blushing a bright red that can only be described as strangely precious.
“Sorry sorry, I shouldn’t laugh, I should expect this kind of thing from you by now..”
He grabs his bag and hands her a blanket.
“Hold this here.”
She grabs it and he pulls down her underwear, but the blanket hangs to hide what it needs to from his view.
He begins treating the dark bruise.
“S-so.. Kh- ouch.. Goji, are you mad too?”
As he works, he smirks a little.
“Hnh.. of course not, I know you can handle yourself. Obviously I was worried, but I think being mad at you won't teach you that acting recklessly is bad. I think it’ll reinforce that what your doing is rebellious, and I know a teen girl your age probably has a thing for rebellious.”
“Wh- I do not!” She pouts quietly again. “I.. I just.. Had to save Hotura..”
“What? You didn’t want to eat another night of Zimba’s cooking?”
“Huh!? Well.. n-no.. But that’s not really why exactly, I mean it's not that bad.. Well it is- but.. Uhm..”
“Somba calm down, I get it…” He finishes up and stands tall, looking away as she puts her clothes back on. “We’re family, we take care of eachother.” After she's dressed he leans down to her.
He leans close and pinches her cheek. Hearing a “A-ahhh!” Complaining noise squeal from her out of displeasure.
“Besides, me too. I know better than to do a rescue mission solo, but.. I can’t say I didn’t want to tear those horrible men limb from limb. As a doctor, I’m medically allowed to dissect them.”
“That’s.. Not how that works..?”
“Haha, yeah I know. Still..” His eyes flow in a circle like rippling water, a pure clear stream in the sunlight. “I love you all, and if I have to, I will fight the world to protect you all.” He smiles confidently and stands up straight, grabbing the doorknob.
“Mhm.. Goji you’re really kind.. I feel like you deserve recognition for that..”
“Am I? I’m just the doctor, over the years, I’ve realized even though I try to have a pure heart, I can never match the boss's compassion. The one who took all of us in, and he alone has the strength to somehow hold his posture tall when each one of us sits on his shoulders. Oh also- don’t get into any fights at school, I know you’ve never gone before but… it's not that bad.”
She puffs air from her nose angrily and sits on her bed.
“Whatever.. Go away.. I don’t wanna think about school.”
He acceptingly steps out.
Uuuuuu….. UGHHHHHHH…
“Nghhh! What am I gonna do…” She weeps, dreading the inevitable coming of tomorrow…
