Erin felt like his love for monsters was always there, from all his favourite t.v shows being about some sorta of non humanoid being to his only class he paid attention to being biology, due to all the sections of evolution and how the body works.
It was just plainly interesting for him. Although there is one exception from that always irked him, the 'evolution.'
Evolution was not this simply choice given from what a monster has done. The amount of frustration seeing how Evolution just seems to be this boon granted to suddenly transform to a better self is extremely ridiculous. Of course, having magical flora and fauna were unrealistic he reasoned, but calling the term of suddenly transforming parts or rapidly developing a beast just feels like your *making* a monster, not evolving it.
Erin of course, is not a writer at all and thus doesn't exactly understand how they researched the anatomy of a monster, but in all honestly he founded it absurd how strange monsters are.
