The vampire part 1

A shiver runs up my spine again. The feeling of someone watching me watching my every move unnerve me. I look around trying to spot the creepy stalker but I can't quite pinpoint the source. I ignored the uncomfortable feeling of a pair of eyes watching me, chalk it up to stress and my overactive imagination and continued on working.

The feeling never went away though even as I wipe the tables clean making sure they were ready for the next customer. I collected the empty cups and brought it behind the counter to wash them. I breathe a sigh of relief as the feeling of being watched gradually faded.

The sudden influx of customer did not surprise me as it was in the middle of the afternoon and the coffee shop I worked at would get flooded with people at their lunch break. I was glad of them though as it allowed me to forget that awful feeling of being watched.

I look up at the clock hanging on the wall and notice that it was 10 o'clock at night and my shift for the day was finish. I smiled at that prospect and slowly took off the apron and carried it in my arms as I told my colleagues that my shift has ended.

I headed towards the changing room and took my thick winter coat off the hanging rack and walked out of the coffee shop taking a deep breath and smiled in relief that the long shift was finally over. The cold air surrounded me causing me to shiver. I hug the coat tight around me seeking to retain heat as much as possible.

I put my earphones in and started to listen to some music as I started to head home. After walking for about ten minutes, I felt it again. The feeling of being watched, of being observed at. It's sickening and I'm so very much sick of it. This has been happening for more than two weeks now and I've been so paranoid lately that I even called the police at one point.

They must have thought me crazy as they rolled up to my house and taken my statement. Their unbelieving eyes made me feel even worse and made me feel like I was going crazy, but I wasn't because one morning as I was brushing my teeth and looking in the mirror I noticed a distinct mark on the side of my neck. They looked like two tiny teeth mark but unfortunately, they slowly faded and by the time I got to work they pretty much healed. The evidence of them being there vanished completely like it was all in my head.

If it only happened once I would have chalked it up to still being half asleep but it started reoccurring daily after the first one appeared. I shivered as I stood in front of the door to my house.

The house that use to make me feel so safe before now so badly terrifies me for I know that as I sleep a monster visits me. I know for sure it isn't human for I made sure that everything was secure and locked before I've gone to bed. Every morning I check for signs of disturbance or a break-in but there is no sign of any break in not even anything amiss in my one-bedroom house.

I unlock the front door and went in the dark stillness of the house and it grips my heart with fear but I steeled my resolved telling myself that if it meant me harm I would be dead already. I turn the lights on keeping myself as calm as possible. I barely had any food during my shift as I had no appetite and it was still the same now.

To be honest I just wanted to go to bed and forget about all this. As long as it isn't a danger to my life maybe it was fine to ignore it. I opened the lights to my room and I jumped up in surprise as I could see someone sitting on top of my bed. I stared at her in shock rubbing my eyes to make sure I wasn't just imagining things but there she was calmly staring at me.

I stood there frozen my mind struggled to decide on what to do next. Her red eyes still staring at me with wrapped attention and in those few seconds, I could feel my mind screaming in terror for I knew she was the predator and I was the prey.

Adrenaline pumped through my body as I reached for the door attempting to open it and escape but before I could even touch the handle, I felt the movement in the air as a hand slammed on the door keeping it shut.

I could feel her now, her presence so close to me. The wild energy that wrapped around her existence thick and dangerous almost suffocated me. I breathe heavily waiting for the most brutal attack to happen but after waiting for a few moments nothing occurred. I couldn't see her face since I kept my head bowed and eyes tight shut and my whole body still tense getting ready for her attack.

Confuse at the current situation I steeled my resolve to raise my head and confront my tormentor. I opened my eyes and what greeted me was a woman with dark blonde hair wearing a black lace dress and her skin was so pale you almost mistake for a corpse. Her lips red and unsmiling and she was so breathtakingly beautiful that I almost forgot that she was the main culprit for my recent torment.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Her crimson eyes still fixed at me, her hands still holding the door close.

"W-w-what ddy-ou want?" I stammered weakly.

"Do you still want to escape?" she asked with a tilt of her head. The movement was graceful and sickeningly mesmerising.

"I want to," I said with a sigh as I let my tired body lean on the door and kept my eyes fixed at the floor.

"Why?" she asked me in visible confusion not quite comprehending why I wanted to escape.

"BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" I shouted angrily. I was sick of this, sick of her tormenting me, slowly breaking my mind and I wanted it to be over one way or another. I did not want to be part of this farce any longer.

She laughed at my outburst, finding it extremely humorous. She drew closer towards me and I backed away pressing my back tightly against the door trying to distance myself away from her but I was trapped and there was nowhere I could run to. She placed both hands on the side of my head boxing me in.

She moved her head closer to my neck, I tried pushing her away but my hands would not move, It felt like I was paralysed and my body did not want to respond to my pleas. She brought her perfect shape nose closer and she sniffs and sighed in contentment.

"You smell delicious you know."

"I wish I wasn't." I retorted.

She laughed at this. Her laugh resembling the sounds of a small melodious bell; beautiful and so very inhuman. She rested her head against the slope of my neck. Her hand tracing the vague shape of my Adam's apple. She hummed a little tune in contentment savouring this moment and I feel so very sick in my stomach.

"What are you waiting for?" I whispered.

"You."

"To beg?" I said harshly.

"I would love to see that." she giggled.

"Would you spare me and leave me alone if I did?" I asked quietly.

I could feel her shake her head as she answered. "I won't leave you alone."

"Why? What did I do wrong?" I cried out in frustration.

"It's your fault really." she paused and breathe in my scent again. She placed her lips against my throat and playfully nipping it with her sharp teeth. I let out a shivery gasp and tried to move away but I still couldn't move.

"You make me hungry, so very hungry and I just could not stay away. As soon as I spotted you and took a whiff of your delicious scent I knew I was hooked and so very addicted." she purred playfully.

"So why the WAIT!!" I screamed.

"EAT ME THEN YOU MONSTER!" I looked at her fiercely and defiantly. I did not want her to give the satisfaction of seeing me so utterly afraid but I could see her smile like everything I was doing was completely pointless and very laughable. It made me feel like I was just entertainment to her and I was so very very tired.

As soon as I realised that I could move my body once again I pushed her away and she gave way this time. I strode past her completely ignoring her existence cause I did not want to think about it tonight. If she wasn't going to do anything then Ill just deal with whatever this is tomorrow; I need sleep.

I kicked off my shoes and got inside the covers and rest my head onto my soft pillow and closed my eyes.

*************

The sounds of cars passing slowly rouse me from my slumber. I must have left the window opened I surmised but still, I wasn't going to cry over it since for the first time I actually slept pretty well. Then I remembered what happened last night and just like that the grogginess of sleep left and I tried to sit up. It was then I realise that something wasn't quite right. My hands were bound by something. My heart started to beat rapidly as I turned my head from side to side and realised that both hands were cuffed to the head frame of the bed.

I tested with a thug and I felt great resistance. 'Fuck!' I cursed in my head. That evil bitch she tied me up. I started shouting.

"HEY! COUNT DRACULA! FUCKING UNCUFF ME!  YOU BITCH!"

I waited but no once came. 'Wait did she actually just left? What the fuck!' I cursed once more and lament how I have been so unfortunate lately. Having managed to grab the attention of a vampire. I must have been such a horrible person in my past life if reincarnation did exist. Now with the sudden realisation that monsters are real, I wasn't quite sure that reincarnation isn't really a thing.

It used to be such a clear cut thing, I mean it makes sense that people in the olden days thought that they existed to rationalise whatever strange phenomenon they could not comprehend but in the 20th century, we know better. Science allowed us to better understand our surrounding and gave us the knowledge to know better. To not believe in the far fetch tales of monsters and demons and those things are better left within the pages of a novel.

Ironically enough I wouldn't call myself a non-believer, I did believe in ghost and the like but vampires? That notion was simply absurd. I was so lost in my thoughts that I barely registered the door opening. There she was standing there confident and a smug plastered on her face.

"Had a good sleep did you?" she spoke softly, a smile playing at her lips. She walked towards the side of the bed and sat beside me. I glared at her, showing her how unhappy I was.

"What? Were you mad that I just ignored you and slept?" I smirked. She brought a finger underneath my chin and made me look at her. Her mouth wide and showing her two sets of canines on her lower and upper jaw.

"So you did know where you went wrong?" she said with a displeased hiss.

I scoff and did not say a word. "I could have done so many things to you." She spoke softly her contained a hint of playfulness but full of something darker. "Taken so much liberty." She continued as she straddled me giving an eyeful of her beautiful cleavage.

She laughed as she notice that my attention was engage by her large breast. "Seen something you like?" She teased.

I rolled my eyes up at her and look away not giving her the satisfaction. "It's a biological instinct' can't exactly blame me." I argued with a huff.

"Ofcourse." She responder dryly; sarcastically.

"Now where was I?" She paused thinking for a second and then she smiled at me. That gorgeous devilish smile that sent shivers down my spine.

Puzzlingly it wasn't just fear this time, there was also a hint of anticipation that I haven't quite noticed before but I recognise this from last night. I felt this before this sickening fascination of her and what she planned to do to me.

"Oh! Yes, we were talking about liberty." She said a matter of factly.

"No you were. I just want out of here and by the way would you mind ever so gently to remove your heavy self off me?" I shot back but I said the last bit with as much sweet poison I could inject into the words as possible.

"Pushing your luck are we?" She gnarled, grabbing a fistful of my hair tanking my head back exposing my bare neck.

The fear was back again but I've stopped giving a damn this time. I was too hungry and my stomach have been growling in protest ever since I got up.

"Can we get some food first before we continue this. Whatever this is." I asked with a strained voice. My head being pulled back like that wasn't exactly comfortable in fact it was painful and base on what I can see from her eyes, she found some sick enjoyment from seeing me in discomfort.

"I thought you'd never asked." She giggled darkly before lunging at my neck mouth wide open.
