Adam was making his way home from work. It was a Thursday today when he had his shift at a supermarket in the city.
Now he was on the train, it was late at night so there wasn't anyone else in his carriage. He just looked out the window of his carriage to enjoy the scenery.
A small stream, some houses, a small forest, then through a tunnel.
Oh, there was also a full moon tonight.
Soon, the window of the carriage started to be covered in droplets of water, distorting the sight outside.
Adam started to get a sinking feeling in his chest, a steel hand clasping his heart.
"It is probably motion sickness"...
'Yes, Adam.'
'Of course, it's motion sickness.'
'It's just motion sickness, Adam...'

Sarah was having a normal day in the office, it was almost 6 o'clock so she was having a coffee by the window of her company's office. A short black, not that she liked the flavour, but she needed the energy to get back home without falling asleep on the bus.
"Bye Sarah."
"Bye."
The last co-worker left the office and shut the door behind him. The main lights of the office were turned off since everyone else had already gone home.
Sarah looked down on the street from the large windows that were the trademark of 21st century office edifices.
A hubbub of activity.
Antlike people chaotically moving in a harmonious set of movements.

It was a relaxing sight.
Then a few droplets of water fell upon the window, gradually becoming a downpour.
She sighed, she'd probably have to wait a bit for the rain to stop.
However, suddenly she felt a bit under the weather, wearing a sickly expression.
Sarah went to the restroom, just downstairs from that floor.
The lighting in the staircase was turned on, highlighting the ugly concrete slabs in the service staircase.
Making her way to the restroom, she went inside the second unisex lavatory, since the first one was in use.
As soon as she entered she started vomiting on the washbasin, her auburn hair getting tangled on the front of her face.
After about a dozen more seconds she finally composed herself.
However, looking down, a puddle of a deep crimson liquid was slowly creeping towards the soles of her feet from the lavatory next to her. In fact, now that she had stopped vomiting, she noticed that a metallic scent pervaded the lavatory.
Blood
Sarah felt the blood drain from her face as she staggered out of the lavatory.
The lavatory next door was open.
Open not as in unlocked, but wide open.
And beholden to Sarah was her co-worker.
What was left of him anyways. 'Mutilated' would have been an understatement, some limbs so eviscerated that they were nothing but bloody clumps of stringy flesh.
Sarah would go to the emergency exit, run to the street and call emergency.
That's what she wanted to do.
In reality, her mind and body disconnected, almost as if her soul had left her body.
Then, she felt It.
Powerful hands clasped around her head, forefingers holding the temple on her head and thumbs digging into the back of her head.
The word 'powerful' didn't suffice. Sarah felt the sheer power behind this grip to be equivalent to an industrial vice. This vicelike grip simply held her head for a moment.
Sarah felt a searing heat pervade her body, sear her throat, asphyxiate her lungs and clasp her heart. Her sight blurred and soon everything faded to darkness after a moment of agony.

Adam woke up.
It wasn't the nice kind of waking up in the morning, but rather the one you have after a long night of drinking.
It was still night time. How could he tell? Simple, the first thing he saw were the stars.
Getting up to move around, he found he was in a small clearing of a forest. Now, this wasn't the type of forest miles away from civilization like in Europe. In Australia, cities were built with ample vegetation integrated into the cityscape. What was unusual was what he was doing here, seeing as the last thing he remembered was passing out in the carriage.
However, those things were at the back of Adam's mind right now, since a much bigger anomaly required his attention.
*Level Up*
Why was there a blue screen in front of him?
Also...
Why was his shirt stained with coffee?
