Chapter 2:
There was a loud explosion as Sue fell to the ground, her ears ringing.
“AHHHHWWW!!” Mongo shouted, “Mongo head! Mongo hand!”
[Power Gauntlet (Rare) has been destroyed]

Mongo began rolling on the ground, experiencing something that he has never felt before.
After a couple minutes rolling around on the floor, Sue recovered enough to stand up and check on Mongo. He wasn’t bleeding anywhere but his hands and his jaw were swollen, and with Mongo already standing at 7 feet tall, it made him look quite comical.
“Mongo are you alright? How are you feeling?”
“Mongo hurt! Gloves gone!”
Seeing that Mongo was in no real danger, Sue analyzed the situation and started to hold back a laugh.
“Why laugh? You no laugh at me! Why laugh?”
Sue let the laughter out in full force, and started rolling on the floor.
“Mongo, did you just get punched by those gauntlets as they flew off your hand?”
“Yes.”
“Hahahahahaha!!”
“Stop laugh!”
“Hahahahhahaha!”
“Stop laugh!!”
“Haha, okay okay, I’m sorry. I’ll stop.”
Mongo stopped paying attention to Sue and began to look for where the gloves were. He found a few warped pieces of metal strewn across the ground outside the tent and for the next 30 minutes he could not hear or see anything else as he had his complete attention on trying to put back together the broken gloves.

“Wait, Mongo don’t! It’s gonna explode again!”
“Glove good now. Mongo wear.”
Sue covered herself expecting another explosion, but nothing happened.
“Sue, take book. Mongo no read.”
As soon as Mongo gave Sue the book, she got her own notification for the first time.

“Woah this is super cool! But why are most of my stats so much lower than yours? Am I just weak?”
“Mongo is strongo.”
“Ahh I guess you can’t really be defined by logic, Mongo. But now that I have a status board, we should go level up so that I can become a mage as well. We can be mages together. Won’t that be cool Mongo?”
“Eh? Mongo hungry.”
Mongo walked over to one of the goblins that was more intact than others. He picked it up and proceeded to take a large bite. Sue stood in her spot, stupefied for a moment.
“Mongo! Spit that out! That’s gross!”
Mongo continued chewing the bite he took and swallowed it, but dropped the rest of the corpse.
“GROSS!!” Mongo then chose wisely that instead of eating the rest of the goblin he would destroy it, and started pounding it into the ground, each fist making a mini earthquake.
After smashing the corpse so much that there was a small crater where he started, Mongo smiled, satisfied with his work. He walked over to Sue, who suddenly stopped paying attention to him and started playing around with her new skill.
“Sue, Mongo hungry… Sue?... Sue?”
Seeing that Sue was too engrossed in her magic, Mongo turned around and left, choosing to continue his conquest for food elsewhere.
Sue finished testing out her skill a few minutes later, but by then, Mongo was long gone.
~~~
Mongo continued walking through the forest on his own, hoping to find some cereal somewhere. Unfortunately, it seemed he was having an unlucky day. There was no cereal to be found anywhere.
After wandering around for another hour or so, Mongo stopped in his tracks. He may be stupid but he wasn’t stupid. He could tell there was a presence nearby.
After having the feeling that no one was watching him, Mongo continued on his noble quest. However this time, he had a feeling that he knew where cereal was and started walking in that direction.
Moments later he came to the top of a hill, and saw a white circle swirling in the air a couple feet off the ground. He didn’t know what it was, but since it looked like milk, there had to be cereal somewhere near it and started making his way over to it.
He felt he should be quiet, so he started walking on the tips of his toes.
“Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, pitter-patter,” Mongo started saying under his breath.
[You have learned a skill- Stealth]
Mongo continued walking over to the floating milk, but now much quieter for some reason. Something made him stop, however. He heard voices. Were they here for the cereal too?
“Pitter-patter, pitter-patter…” He continued making his way over towards the voices, making sure to keep quiet.
“Are you sure this is where they are coming from?” a female voice said.
“Yes I saw one come out just a few minutes ago and head that way,” said a male that pointed in Mongo’s direction.
“Well should we wait for them to keep coming out then?” said another male.
“I say we go inside,” said the first male, “I am level 6 now, which I am pretty confident is one of the highest there is right now. I can hold the frontlines, John, you be the main damage dealer, and Kara can heal the two of us. Besides, this is the thing that killed my sister. Also, look here.”
“Wow, your strength and endurance are both at 19!” exclaimed the second male, “You’re so strong! With you leading us, I feel more confident!”
“Umm, okay Matt I’ll trust you, but you two better make sure you protect me!”
After a minute Mongo stopped hearing their voices, and he peeked out from the tree he was trying to hide behind. He saw that the people talking were not there anymore, and the flying milk was turning from white to red.
He immediately assumed they were trying to steal his cereal, obviously so, and so he decided to charge in after them and stop them before they ate all of it.
“Cer-eal, cer-eal, cer-eal,” Mongo said as he started running.
The floating milk was further away than he first thought, and it took him almost a minute of sprinting to get there and jump in just before it turned completely red.
~ Trio’s POV ~
Matt entered the gate, followed closely by John, and shortly after by Kara. Matt was holding a shield that he got from a wooden chest, and John a sword, but Kara didn’t have any kind of tool. She didn’t need a tool though since she was a healer.
As they emerged from the other side, they observed their surroundings. There was a dense fog in all directions besides directly in front of them, where there seemed to be a small village.
[You have discovered Kobold Village dungeon]
[Kobold Scout (2/7)]
[Kobold Warrior (0/20)]
[Kobold Chief (Rare)(0/1)]
“Guys quick,” urged Matt, “let’s get behind all those rocks before we get spotted! We will come up with a plan there after looking around!”
The trio made their way over to the rocks as quickly and quietly as possible, trying to avoid detection. After arriving undetected, they all let out a sigh of relief.
“There are a lot more of them here than I thought there would be,” said John. “We need to come up with a good strategy so that we don’t need to fight them all at the same time.”
“Yeah looking at it now,” Kara started, “there are only 5 scouts left, so I think we should try to deal with them first. I know that first one you already killed Matt, but who killed the second one? Does it just assume it is dead since it left the dungeon or do you think someone already-”
“CEREALLLL!!”
“What is that?” asked Kara, frightened.
“Did I just hear ‘cereal’?” Matt was questioning his hearing.
The trio poked their heads out from their rock enclosure just in time to see a large figure slam into the front gates of the village, completely destroying them.
BOOMMMM!!
They could not contain their curiosity, and ran over to see what was going on. When they arrived shortly after their jaws dropped.
What once was a village with houses and shops was now all but rubble. There were dead kobolds everywhere, all of them with their dog-like snouts smashed into the rest of their heads.
“Ch-check the dungeon progress,” said Matt.
“O-okay,” said John feebly.
[Please kill the following to clear the dungeon-]
[Kobold Scout (7/7)]
[Kobold Ranger (10/10)]
[Kobold Warrior (20/20)]
[Kobold Chief (Rare)(0/1)]
“What on earth is going on?” Kara said. “Who k-killed all of these so brutally?”
“MONGOOOO!!!”
“M-m-mongo?? Like from Blazing Saddles??” asked John.
“Blazing what??”
“Nevermind.”
[Congratulations on clearing Kobold Village dungeon]
“D-did you guys also get 10?” asked John.
“Yeah.”
“Yup. What was that anyway?” asked Matt. “Was it another monster?”
“I hope not, ‘cause if it was then we’re-”
“Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, pitter-patter…” a voice behind them whispered.
The three slowly turned around and saw a hulking figure covered in blue blood, with a large smile on his face, and a crazed look in his eye.
“Found Mongo! Hehehe!” the figure said in what they thought was a menacing tone, “Have cereal?”
“AAAHHHHHHHH!!” all three screamed and fainted.
When they woke up, the figure was gone. They noticed that their clothes were a bit out of place too, like shirts on inside out and shoes on the wrong feet. John noticed that his pistachios in his pocket were gone, but he didn’t say anything. They were all scared out of their minds but they still looked around for the figure nonetheless.
“Guys come look over here!” shouted Kara, “There is a chest here! And it’s bronze!”
“What?!?” both John and Matt exclaimed. “It left a chest for us? Why??” continued Matt.
~ Mongo’s POV ~
After Mongo killed the Kobold Chieftain, he noticed three more presences, but they weren’t hostile so he didn’t kill them, instead he decided he would play a game with them and then ask if they had cereal, which is an entirely reasonable question to ask at any time, by the way.
He tried to tip-toe around to their backsides, but they noticed him! They were better than he thought they would be.
“Found Mongo! Hehehe! Have cereal?”
[You have learned a new skill- Intimidation]
They all closed their eyes and went to sleep after screaming, which is entirely unreasonable! Mongo even put on his best smile like Sue told him to do when meeting new people. Mongo would have to ask her about that later though.
Unfortunately, Mongo was still out of cereal, and he still thought that they had some, so he decided to search their bodies, and the only way to do that is to take off all their clothes of course! He even took off their shoes, but definitely not their socks, since Mongo is afraid of toes.
Mongo finally found some cereal in the pocket of the last guy he checked, so after finding the cereal he decided it was time to leave, but then Mongo remembered something.
They would probably get sick if they were laying there naked! That is just no way to treat new friends, so he just had to put their clothes back on.
After putting their clothes back on, Mongo decided to look around a bit more for more cereal, but alas. He destroyed all the houses in his rampage, and all the access to any cereal within! Mongo decided to take an oath to be more careful next time he entered the magic milk passage.
After exiting back out of the milk passage, Mongo decided it was finally time to eat the cereal he had been craving for so long. He took out the little bag, but looking at it now, it was pitifully small.
Mongo decided to forgo the milk this time, and just dumped the whole bag into his mouth all at once.
PFTTT!!
Mongo spit out the cereal so hard that all the pieces flew off into the trees.
This cereal was extra salty, and super crunchy. Mongo’s new friend did not have very good taste in cereal.
Since Mongo’s friend had bad cereal, it left Mongo wanting, so he continued his journey to find some tasty cereal.
During his journey Mongo remembered that he should check his status and distribute his free points like Sue told him to.
Mongo did not know what to add the rest of his points to since he didn’t know what any of them were for besides strength. He wanted to add them all to strength, but he remembered how mad Sue got when he did that so he decided to add to something else this time. He was already strongo so now he needed to balance it out. The problem was what to add it to though.
There is no point thinking about it too much so Mongo just decided to do one of his favorite games.
“Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, Catch a tiger by the toe. If he hollers, let him go, Eeny, meeny, miny, moe… DEX?”
[Yes]
After distributing the free points, Mongo didn’t feel much different besides being extra sensitive, so he didn’t think too much about it. He continued his quest for the cereal.
After walking around for a couple hours and killing whatever small monsters he came across, Mongo found another magic milk passage, but it was green this time. Green milk would probably taste very good so he still decided to try it, and made his way over.
Upon entering the passage, Mongo was put in a large grassy field, but he did not see any monsters. He saw some very large footprints in the grass though so he assumed that there were big humans here. Even bigger than him!
Mongo heard a rush of wind but he didn’t see where it was coming from. It was getting louder and louder. He still didn’t see what it was.
Mongo’s ears twitched and he felt that he should look up.
Upon looking up, Mongo saw what he feared most in the world!
