Chapter 0: Prologue

Chapter 0: Prologue

It was a nice day outside. As I woke up, I looked out my window to the left. I saw a clear, blue sky and the blazing sun was shining bright as usual. There was nothing to depict unusual activities today, as it felt like a normal day for me.

Me, Alexander Miller, a highschool student in my  freshman year. I was one of the most bullied kids in my school, for whatever reason people could think of. I guess I was just a good target, as I don't do anything. I just stand there and take the hits.

Now, don't get me wrong, I know what I'm doing is idiotic. I'm just an idiot, and I don't care about my own life. My parents didn't care about me, well, not as much as my little brother Zack Miller.

Zack was a boy that tries his hardest in everything. As a kid in the 7th grade, he was trying his best in everything he did. He had high marks in every subject, and no one dares to pick on him. The last guy that did had gotten 2 black eyes. Zack was also a pretty muscular person, more than me by a lot. I was just an average guy, with a normal amount of muscles but not even to do anything with it.

I guess that's why he came to me. I was not as brave as my brother. I was a perfect target, and the brother of the guy that gave him a black eye. My brother is a kind person that doesn't like seeing me hurt, and I just didn't care enough to tell him anything.

The bully in question was a power-hungry, buff guy that clearly had some anger issues. Maybe some parental issues as well. He liked to take out his anger on people that were not able to do anything about it. I didn't care enough, honestly. He'd get bored and piss off, like the others. His friends had also joined in a week back, and they were starting to get bored with me already.

I got out of bed and got my normal school items. I changed into my jeans, and took out a gray shirt from my wardrobe. I didn't have much in there, just normal cheap shirts that helped us live normally.

At the death of my parents, I was the one getting the money. I had a job at a game company named Intercore Games, who focused on rpg games such as Freedom Online, which was a game where you could do anything. There were adventurer guilds, monsters, thieves, player killers, and more. I hadn't played it much, but I did develop a lot for it.

Anyway, I walked to the kitchen and made waffles with chocolate on top. I woke up Zack and gave him the food. He didn't care what he ate, he ate whatever he got.

My apartment building was a standard apartment with a television, a very nice wooden floor that automatically removed any signs of mold, and a kitchen that had a quartz-like kitchen counter with a microwave and a very nice oven.

Everyone had an auto-cleaning robot by now. They were very cheap to use and only required a 20 minute charge for a full 24 hours of work.

As we finished the meal, I walked to school. It wasn't far, maybe a 5 minute walk from the school to my apartment building. What was weird was that I had not encountered the bullies yet. I usually see them at the front waiting for me. Maybe this day would be the best one so far? Unlikely, but I walked in and went to class.

My math class was one without "give me the answers," or "help me with this number," which was unusual at the start. I didn't have any friends, since everyone in my class thought I was a pervert. This rumor was spread by, obviously, my bully Thomas Harris. The Harris family were the owners of the Vortex Research company who made the robots.

As I was doing my questions that were assigned to me, I heard a random voice in my head who said, Are you able to hear me?

This scared the living hell out of me, and I yelled in the middle of class, "WHO'S THERE?"

You can guess that everyone laughed at me, and I was made a fool once again.

I guess you can. I'm not anyone too important, but I have randomly selected you as the winner of my wishes. You have 5 wishes, and you can say 'I wish for,' and then whatever you wish for to wish for something. You have 5, so choose wisely, the voice said.

I was scared, surprised, relieved, and overall I was just so happy to be granted this opportunity. I mean, if what he was saying was true, and this is coming from a voice in my head, I had 5 wishes. So, the only natural thing would be to ask for more!

Hmm, I wish for infinite wishes that can be called at any moment. I said.

That's a hope that just can't happen. The reason I cannot give you infinite is because of the mere fact that nothing is infinite. This does not affect your wishes, and you still have 5 wishes to use at any time, the voice said.

Hm, okay, I'll take as many as I can get.

I knew I should've made rules for this, the voice said and then sighed.

Very well, your wish has been granted and you now have 2 billion wishes.

Good, good. Now, I wish to be put in a game system with magic, and the ability to change my stats at any time.

Wishes granted. That has used 2 wishes.

Immediately, I had started feeling dizzy, and went unconscious. Probably due to him making major changes to my body.
