Year 1, N.A (New Age):

Mankind had successfully began operations on the moon. While the surface had little to offer, the subterranean reaches of the moon held many rare minerals with a variety of uses, and was harvested by governments and private sector businesses alike. However they had made a mistake, they had delved too deep, and found something that was never meant to be found.

There was a huge dark green gemstone lodged underneath the moon’s surface. When it was first discovered, no one knew what to do with it, or what it was. That would soon change. A message was sent back to earth, informing them of what they had found, and requesting more scientists to come and analyze the stone, as even the scientist who were there (and were esteemed in their own right) had no idea what they we're looking at. They never got the chance however. in a few hours, before anyone had even boarded a ship to get there, the sun came into view.

What happened next was difficult to understand, but the dominant theory states that the crystal reacted to the solar radiation and Earth’s electromagnetic field in addition to the gamma radiation found naturally in space, causing it to shatter and release an odd, never before seen type of energy, directly at the planet. Everyone on the moon died almost immediately. The direct dosage of radiation was too strong. 10% of earth’s population perished as well. They were genetically susceptible to radiation, unfortunately. What happened next however, is what would really change the course of history.

People became stronger, and began developing… abilities. Things out of storybooks, like flying, breathing underwater, and shooting lightning from their fingertips. The wildlife changed as well. Creatures began growing larger, more ferocious and powerful. Of course these changes weren't present in everyone and everything. Only around 1-3% of people developed these special powers, though humanity as a whole seemed to gain greater physical strength and stamina. with plants and animals, it varied species to species.

Unfortunately, this led to more deaths as these creatures began to attack human settlements. over the next eleven months, humanity would lose 5% more of its population to the creatures, called Beasts as well as to disease from the sheer number of dead bodies the initial radiation produced.

Year 2, N.A

The Beasts have relearned the fact humanity is indeed the top of the foodchain. A huge offensive was launched, with the assistance of those with special abilities,and the Beasts no longer intrude on human territory. Travel by boat is still hazardous, as the Beasts of the ocean are far stronger than those on land, and harder to defeat.

It is at this time that governments, having restored order, have decided that those with special powers are a danger to the community, and should be detained. Of course, everyone with abilities had seen it coming. Before the world spiralled into the mess it was currently in, there were plenty of movies and books that involved superhumans getting hunted by the government.

It was unanimously decided that that trend would not follow them into real life, so they fought back. Hard. Of course not everyone was a fighter, and many fled, but there were also many normal people who sided with the ability users. Many people who were saved by those with abilities in some way offered their support, or campaigned to end the fighting.

Year 3, N.A

The fighting rages on. In the midst of the fighting, a strong ability user, the likes of which had never been seen appeared. He was known only as Alpha. He claimed that all the world should bow before him, and then there would be peace. One of his known abilities was stealing those of others, and he used it avidly. Soon, he possessed hundreds, when the highest natural number was 5.

In the face of this new threat, world governments shift their focus towards Alpha. It was to no avail. The weaponry they used was not effective, and the paltry ability users they had at their disposal were killed after having their abilities absorbed. Seeing this, the allied rebel ability users took action. 100 of their strongest set out to battle Alpha that day. and out of that 100, only 18 lived, 4 of those with crippling injuries. However, Alpha was successfully brought down.

Year 5, N.A

Peace had been restored yet again, as the governments officially make the unlawful hunting of any ability user illegal, and punishable under international law. Celebrations briefly take place, but not all is well. Different organizations began employing ability users, not the least of which were terrorists, rebel groups, and criminal syndicates. The fighting continued, just in a different way. Country borders began to shift.

Year 7, N.A

A new worldwide threat emerged. This one called himself the Demon Lord. It is unclear where he came from, but it was believed he wasn't a native Australian, he just settled there, knowing the turmoil the country was in would mask his initial movements. He had abilities the likes of which had never been seen before, and they centered around biological manipulation, which he used to cross humans, beasts, and animal. This created all new lifeforms known as demons and beastfolk.

Year 10, N.A

The Demon Lord has conquered Australia, and the majority of southeast Asian Islands. An allied force invades his territory. Led by the joint forces of the new Pope, Japanese Emperor, the Gamemaster, and the High Witch, They strike deep into the Demon Lord’s territory. after nearly a year, the Demon Lord is defeated, and the most dangerous demons are exterminated.

Year 13, N.A

America has begun to stabilize, in a way. With so much discord and violence going on, the country calls back it's fighting forces from all over the world. They consolidate all their power in the west coast as well as the great plains, leaving the south and east to fend for themselves. The Grand Republic of Texas closes its borders.

Year 15, N.A

In the former United States, while the Western States of America (The government still claims that all the states still belong to them, they simply can't enforce the claim) enjoys the highest rate of safety on the planet, warlords vie for power in the east and south. Some wish to create a new country, to stand the test of time, some wish only to destroy the country that turned their backs upon them, but there is one who is barely old enough to be called a true man, caught in the middle of it all. One man who would make a stand, and fight against the monsters at his door. This is his story.
