[Status:]
[Name: Please Choose]
[Health Points (HP): 100/100]
[Mana Points (MP): 100/100]
[Stamina Points (SP): 100/100]
Health, mana and stamina are the only stats shown by the status. Health is obviously how much damage you can take before dying, mana is used for magical activities, stamina is used for physical activities. Strength, agility and other such stats can be trained just like in the real world, however they do not show on the status screen. Alex has no plans to fight at all so stamina and eventually mana would be were his stat points for leveling would go.
After thinking for a few minutes Alex chose the name: Potio Regis. Which is Latin for potion king.
Looking around he saw other immortals start walking around looking for quests…such noobs. With one thought in mind Alex headed towards one of the native guards.
"Hello sir! Do you mind if I ask for some directions?" He asked the guard.
"Of course not immortal. What are you looking for?" The guard responded.
"I'm looking for the best potion crafter in this town."
"Right, his shop isn't to far away. We are in the Bluepoint district of town, which is where many shops are. You see those two roads going south? You want to take the left road and it will be the fourth building on your right." The guard explained while pointing out the road to take.
"Thank you good sir." Alex said before turning and heading down the road.
Finding the shop was easy considering the big sign reading, "Crows Nest Potions". Walking in he saw a young human boy of about the age of 13 manning the front of the shop. Looking around he could see a variety of different potions, what a perfect chance to use his inspect tool. Walking up to a reddish pink potion he inspected it.

"Can I help you sir?" The boy asked.
"Yes I would like to speak with the owner of this fine establishment." Alex responded to the boy's question.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"May I ask what about? Master Hardore is very busy."
"I would like to learn potion crafting from him."
"Hmm I havent see him take any apprentices but I'll go get him." The boy said before walking to a door leading into a back room.
A few minutes went by and Alex continued inspecting the potions, all of them were at least good quality, with many being excellent. Everything from health potions to speed potions and temporary strength boost potions.
Soon the boy returned with a stocky dwarf who had a large red beard with streaks of grey showing. He stopped and stared and Alex for a minute.
"Well immortal you've built yourself to be very speedy at crafting potions. Normally I don't take apprentices, but if I can teach you how to make an average quality potion then you can be pumping them out fast as fuck. With both you boosts active you cut down the time by 75%, so a batch of health potions takes 20 minutes but for you only 5 minutes. Fine follow me we start now. You will call me Hardore, I don't care about all that calling people master crap." Hardore said.
Going into the back room Alex saw 6 cauldrons currently bubbling with different mixtures at the back of the room. Lining the side walls are shelves, all filled with plants and other regents for potions.
"I already have all my cauldrons going so for now I'll just tell you the basic process of potion crafting. To start always make sure all your equipment is clean. We have an enchanted spout over there in that tub, it draws and purifies water from the river. There is also cleaning solution to mix in with the water." Hardore said while pointing to a metal tub in the back right corner of the room.
"Next prepare all the ingredients for the potions you plan to make. I'm able to brew six different potions at once, however you will start with doing two. Each type of potion requires a different amount of brewing time and times of stirring." He explained.
"Then you fill the cauldron with half as much purified water as the amount of potions you are making. Cauldrons have marks inside them, each mark is one potions worth. So if you plan to brew 20 health potions worth then you had 30 marks of purified water."
"Brewing instructions change for each potion, however you will usually wait for the water to boil before adding the ingredients into the water. Even if you follow all the instructions though, that would still only make odd flavored water. What truly makes a potion is this." Hardore said while grabbing a orange crystal.
"These are magic cores. Monsters in dungeons all have them, it's what connects and binds them to the dungeon. There are different types of core of course, this one here is a fire core. After the brewing process you turn off the heat and pour the potion into the metal bowls. Before that though you grind down the core into a powder, makes sure to add the right amount of powder to the bowl or prepare to be in a world of pain."
"Then you pour the potion into the bowl and make sure the powder has mixed well. Then let it rest and cool before adding to your vials. Simple right?" Hardore finished his rushed explanation.
It was a lot of information but so far seemed straightforward enough. Clean, prepare, cook, mix with core powder and let rest. Alex watched as Hardore went about stirring some of his potions and poring others into the metal bowls with core powder in them.
"Now follow this book of instructions and make me a batch of health potions. If you can get it right the first time I'll keep teaching you Regis." Hardore said while while slamming a think book down on the table in the center of the room.
Well time to make his first potion….
