Inhaling the snow laced air, I suppress the anxiety spike as soon as it rose. I was no guardsman to be thrown against the unceasing tide. I would be an Asgardian and re-forge Asgard. The thought and action was clear and straight-forward in my mind.
Even now, I could glimpse through the fragments to know that Thor was he who was ordained to rule Asgard. And for that there were actions that needed to be undertaken and plans to set into motion.
If my battles with brother taught me anything it is that no good trick could be done without proper planning.
Flashing towards the Space Marine squadron investigating the unconscious thunderwolf, my arrival was announced with a crash of thunder sending the men into a flurry of movement. Fast, but not faster than I.
With ease, I gently dodged through the ranks of power armor clad men frying their aimed firearms with the excess lightning that followed my and Mjolnir’s landing. Followed by the shockwave that forced the resilient men back several places but not launched like lesser beings.
“Hold your Fire, I am no Foe.”
Releasing my grasp on mjolnir, I allowed the weapon to thunk heavily against the frozen tundra as I crossed my arms across my chest and flexed lightly. The show of peace momentarily ceasing the actions of the men whom held a silent dialogue amongst themselves before a member stepped forward wielding a weapon of make similar to my own though far lesser.
“Identify your presence on Fenris.” Came a gravely voice from what appeared to be a loud speaker.
“I am Asgardian. I am far from home Friend. My world, my friends, my family dead or unreachable. I have no wish for conflict, only to rebuild my home. I am of noble birth despite my indecent drapes, so you'll forgive me if I don't bow to you all.”
Staring at the skull helmeted warrior, I smiled brightly my eyes staring expectantly at the midgardian whom seemed momentarily stunned by my words and presence before quickly overcoming the delay within milliseconds.
“I see. And your name?”
“I am Thor.”
With my name spoken, the clouds ahead crackled before quickly subsiding as the men tightened the grasp on their weapons. Clear that the man in front of them was beyond the ordinary protocol.
“You killed this beast no? Without anything more than that tool and in a single blow… your energy readings alone are sending my specs into haywire. I am known as The slayer Ulrik. Wolf priest, a title of some hold in this realm. I sense traces of the warp on you, but nothing to constitute this level of power. Yet even that seems to burn against your body.”
Giving a nod of acknowledgement, I smiled brightly happy to have confirmation that my power didn't rely upon the warp for action. Natural lightning, powerful and purifying in it's destructiveness and a bath from a lightning storm. I’d need another.
“Ay! It spooked me and thus I struck it. Not with my ally, but my hand. It may rise again.”
“I am somewhat unknowledgeable to the grand designs of this realm but I recognize you all as great human warriors! Worthy allies and potential brothers to Asgard should only good will be provided in our meager rebuilding.”
Stepping forward, I offered my arm in truce betting on the honor of the decorated warrior before me. I had no need for ceaseless plots and gilded words, something my brother would likely give me no end of mockery over were he in my stead.
Ulrik seemed to stare at my outstretched hand, before ultimately grasping the offending arm in acceptance. My straightforwardness whilst off-putting was enough to win the seasoned veteran over. That and the promise of one of such power not pointing itself directly against his men is equally sweet.

“Well met. I cannot promise you a blank treasury note. But I offer you my efforts to see your home restored in return for your servitude to the imperium.”
Tightening my grasp against his arm, I gave a wolfish smile before releasing him but not before commenting lightly.
“Asgard has always been dedicated to the protection of midgard. Regardless of the acting powers name, I can promise you that Asgard will readily aid mankind against crisis. But do not attempt to sway the customs of an eon old empire with your own. In that regard I must tell you forwardly that I am Asgardian. We have been allied with Terra from days preceding the first Renaissance.”
Ulrik merely offered a nod in understanding, clearly not the first time one expressed such sentiments though likely one of the fewer times no decisive action could be taken against it. Nonetheless, the promise of alliance was enough and solidified.
Over the course of several months, I had followed the man into a civilization both advanced in it's technology and barbaric in it's application. The meeting with the planet’s highest form of authority proved to be a memorable endeavor.
Ulrik Pov
The man was an anomaly a torch that seared itself into one's psychic with the shine of lightning. His body crackled with faint sparks of lightning, everything about his being seemed to brim with power. From the way his toes seemed to balance against the snow, he seemed to be superior. It was as though he was suppressing the storming ocean inside a teacup.
“Alas, we must attend to duties upon our home world before we can provide sufficient aid. It may take some while…” The man seemed to glance at me uninterested at the mention of time before walking towards the rousing beast.
“I care not the delay. You have given your word of aid. That alone is enough for me. Time is of little issue for the fulfillment of such oaths.”
Sitting in front of the beast the man offered it unabashedly the very same arm he once offered my own. The beast’s pupils dilating before it opened it's jaws capable of tearing apart tank hulls and clamping against the man's hand.
“In honor of Tyr, I shall not harm thee. Submit.”
The beast ground it's scissors as if to sever the hand itself, whilst maintaining eye contact with the warrior displaying a lack of fear and pain. Only pure determination to make the beast bow it's head.
The beast waited seconds of grinding it's teeth before inevitably pulling away as if annoyed and unwilling the man's hand without crippling. The beast walked away several paved before frustratingly settling down in a huff. It had no doubt been tamed seeing as it had not assaulted my squadron upon failing.
Ay. We're ready now. I am Thor Odinson. Future leader of Asgard. This beast shall be known as Tyrant.”
And like that we set out, Thor easily followed alongside the transport without signs of tire, stalked by the newly named Tyrant whom followed behind in accomplice.
We went to various settlements to supply aid, each time the heretics were swiftly caught upon entry into the town. After the first town, it was settled that Thor would be placed in the vanguard/scouting unit. His uncanny ability to pick out chaos worshippers would make many of inquisitors envious as within the hour we had hundreds with hidden trinkets, tattoos, or simple looks of malice.
And when they grew restless or confrontational they were struck down by lightning as if smited by the very heavens in defiance. The man merely scoffed and walked away at each display stating plainly. “It's instinctual to know that the weak cannot deny the strong. I only pity these fools who'd fight even that instinct of survival for corruption. Unworthy of Valhalla.”
It took two successful towns of clearance for me to give the man my complete permission of Inquisition against all heretics and unredeemable filth. And I regret nothing. His arrival was announced with a storm, heretics were killed on sight by my orders alongside rapist and abusers. And so, thousands were smited by the Emperor's will. His judgement proven and infallibly accurate. The towns rejoiced the death of known assailants and hidden ones upon investigation.
He played with the young, and helped the old in every settlement. Whether it was simply helping to deliver medicine instantly, felling trees in one blow, preventing accidents, he was loved. He helped and enlightened farmers, Shepherds, and warrior's alike. He seemed to be everywhere at once, yet always warm and approachable. I spoke with him for insight various times over fortnights and each time he showed to be intriguing.
“I am the lightning that vanquishes evil, during the storms I want them to know with each boom not to fear, for it is I. Thor protecting them from their villains and rebirth has finally come.”
And it was a rebirth, production rose drastically at all levels and corruption was annihilated though others would question such practices under my authority it was approved and proven invaluable. Few could match my renown and even fewer would claim my actions heretical.
But even I shivered at the man's efficiency, he was a fountain of knowledge and many of time the local mechanicus seemed captivated by the man's methods.
It took months but the man never came to ask of his aid, he only served faithfully and with a swiftness resembling lightning. The people praised him, the world knew of his name and he was hailed in standing no less than any great warrior of Fenris. And so I led him to space and it was there he shocked me greatly as he refused to entry the ship alongside the crew upon hearing that we were heading into a spaceship in orbit.
The man merely mentioned offhandedly, he’d meet us up before swinging what we've learned to be called Mjolnir by it's leather strap. Before hurling the hammer and taking off alongside the hammer’s immense weight against the planet's gravity. All in the company had tried to lift the blasted thing even I, but none was “worthy”.
He broke through the atmosphere with ease flying freely without gravity to hold him down and adjusting himself with lightning. In space, he was free to fly without worry of destroying objects with his power as nearby comets and asteroids disintegrated beneath his might as we entered the ship responsible for defending Fenris, the "Fang", a massive, ancient spaceship that served as the Space Wolves' mobile fortress-monastery.
The Fang was a massive vessel, adorned with the symbols of the Space Wolves Chapter, and is said to be one of the oldest and most revered ships in the Imperium of Man. It orbits Fenris, protecting the planet from threats both internal and external. Easily capable of accommodating even Tyrant in it's massive size and his submitted kin.
The Fang was home to the Great Wolf, the leader of the Space Wolves Chapter, and was quite sacred in the eyes of many of its legion. And thus, greatest wolf of them all bared it's teeth at Thor upon seeing his display of might on board the vessel. The man known as Leman Russ, he who has been recognized by the Emperor himself as kin.
