Note: The first chapter will be a lot shorter than the rest of them. This is due to it being my first light novel I've written and as well as it's letting the reader get a feel of the characters and flow of the story. I hope you enjoy this! Please have a good day!
Cries of a young boy echoed through the dojo. "Get up Miyamoto, don't be a cry baby now!" Miyamoto's father would yell at his son, holding his sword firmly and steadily.
"D- dad you hit me too hard, I can't be a samurai. It hurts too much!" Miyamoto cried out in pain, grabbing his chest area. It seems that Miyamoto's father is quite rough while training a young 4-year-old Miyamoto.
"Fine kid, let's take a break for today but tomorrow we will test your limits even further!" Miyamoto's father would then pick up Miyamoto and bring him to their small home, laying him down on the floor. Miyamoto's mother would then walk in from the backdoor and see Miyamoto laying there in pain.
"Oh my, what happened?!" She'd say, running towards Miyamoto and grabbing his chest as she made sure he's alright.
"It seems I have overdone it again, you need to stop babying the kid he's never going to be a tough and a good samurai the way he is right now!" He'd say in a very aggressive tone towards his wife.
"And you need to stop being so rough with him! I never wanted my child to be a samurai, that is dangerous. I don't want my kid dying early like all of the other samurai out there. I want him to live a long and happy life!" She'd stand up and yell at her husband.

"Well, I also don't want him to a pussy like you are! Shut your mouth you dirty whore!" He'd yell back at her, pointing his finger in her face.
Miyamoto's mother would then slap her husband, leaving a red hand mark on his cheek then pointing him out of the comfortable but rather small home. "Out for the day!"
He'd grunt at her then making his way outside as he threw down his shiny silver sword. Miyamoto's mother then slammed the door shut behind him. "Jesus, she needs to calm down." He'd mumble.
Inside the house, Miyamoto's mother would be taking care of Miyamoto. "Are you okay baby?" She'd ask in a calm and reassuring voice.
"Yes mother, I'm fine. It's just kinda hard to breathe and my chest is heavy." He'd struggle to speak but he would succeed in doing so.
His mothers' eyes would then fill with tears, the tears then falling onto the ground like it was raining. "Well... here let me help you." She'd then lift him and bring him to his room, sitting him back down.
He'd then look up at his mother. "Mother, you do know that I want to be a samurai right?" He'd ask her a serious question.
She'd respond. "Yes, I know son. I just don't want you to get hurt. You know?"
"I know mother. Trust me, I know." He'd look down, wondering if he really can be a samurai. I mean his own father just called him weak.
"Hey, mom. Do you think I can be a samurai?" He'd ask, in the most serious tone ever heard from his mother.
"Yes, son! I think you can be whatever you want to be." *She'd respond, laying her hand on his cheek as she wiped away his tears. "Now go get them. Go be the best samurai out there!" *She'd smile, the smile then turning into a laugh.
Miyamoto would jump up like a spring and run out of the house, running past his father then running out of the village. What will happen in the next chapter of Miyamoto Masashige!? Find out January 30th!
