Deal

Dark sky with lightnings in it,

It's such a good display

Of scenes where common people

With wrong things try to play.

She held her dagger in her hand

And then she took a stab.

The black floor welcomed then some red

As she was spilling blood.

The symbols, they all shone in white

As smoke in air appeared.

She knew then she had done the rite

And would soon do the deed.

"O mortal soul, for what you want,

You'll have to pay the price.

You only reap that which you sow,

When overcome with vice."

"I want my mother dead", she cried,

"She's always disagreeing,

Denies that she can read my mind,

Tries to keep me from seeing

The way her eyes look to the side

When someone mentions dying

Of things I tried as suicide

Methods. Although trying

Was all I'd do, like you've assumed,

As somehow she was always

In the room when I consumed

What could be used in more ways

Than cleaning", as she took a breath

To say another verse,

The demon asked, "Why isn't death

What you want, if life's curse

Is so unbearable to you. And also why'd you want

The woman who just wants to help—"

"But all she does is taunt!

If only I could send to Hell,

I'd send her there right now.

She knows my inner demons'll win,

The only question's how.

So if I have succumbed to sin,

It doesn't really matter,

If I make the deal or not.

It won't be worse or better

And where I'm going's hot."

The demon sighed, "So illness lost?

Well, now you want revenge.

And you don't care about the cost,

But it is quite strange

How you don't rush ahead to death,

But, mortal, here's the thing:

From now and on to your last breath

Your demons'll boast their win.

And right you said that where it's hot

It doesn't really matter

What dreams you had, what life you sought,

The sin, it sticks like batter.

It isn't heat that hurts, it's that

Regret about your crimes.

And if the thing you did, it had

Affected your loved ones,

You'll never truly be forgiven,

For you cannot forgive yourself,

So such a power won't be given

To such a person as your self."

"Why moralize when you can just

Take my soul and leave?

I never thought you'd be this just,

But fine, I'll do your thing

With the forgiveness and whatnot."

"That's very good to hear.

My father God, oh he did not

Forgive me anything.

I wish I could just turn back time

Back to the whole ordeal.

But now you might not do the crime

And won't feel what I feel."
