I've just about fallen asleep to the drone of the teacher's voice when a loud crash shocks the whole class. Jumping, we collectively look outside to see a massive stone monster standing outside of our school.”HOLY—“ someone screams, the rest drowned out by another deafening crunch of metal. The monster had grabbed a car and smashed it between its fists.
“KIM ATURE!” It roars, its voice booming like two massive boulders being crushed against one another. “I’M GONNA MAKE YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU’VE DONE!”
We all turn to stare at Kim, who is staring in shock at the rock who knows his name. “What did you do, Kim?” Nino asks, voice shaking.
“I… I didn’t do anything!” Kim says defensively. The monster outside steps forward, bringing its face next to the classroom window. Its scowling face has bright glowing red eyes that seemed so deep and angry that I was honestly surprised that we were all still alive. As it stares into the room, the shock from seeing such an odd, terrifying sight begins wearing off. My classmates begin running towards the door, almost pushing one another over to be the first to leave. Alya grabs my arm, trying to pull me along.
“Girl, snap out of it!” She whispers, snapping me out of my reverie. Quickly getting up, I tear my eyes away from the monster still staring at Kim.
“Crud. Yeah, let’s get outta here.” I say, stumbling over my own feet in an attempt to get out of the room as quickly as possible. We’re almost out when I hear a thundering roar and crash, following which I feel shards of glass embedding themselves into my back and legs. I scream and stumble, catching Alya’s arm as I fall. Unfortunately, she was caught just as I was in the rain of glass and falls with me to the ground.
“Ohmygosh.” She breathes, face twisted in pain. Looking back in a panic, I see that the monster has grabbed Kim and pulled him back through the window. He doesn’t look too great, with lacerations all over his face and arms that are bleeding heavily.

“We gotta get outta here.” I say. I felt bad for Kim, but there wasn’t anything I could do for him. It would be suicidal to attack it, considering I have nothing and it’s a literal rock.
I help Alya up, and we both hobble out of the classroom door. We hear voices talking hysterically down the hallway and walk toward them as quickly as we can. I’m not sure how badly Alya was hurt, but I was stabbed all throughout my back and legs, and I could feel the shards that were caught in my skin ripping with every excruciating step.
Once we make it to the room with the voices, we are greeted with the sight of all of our classmates as well as the students in the classrooms adjacent to us. There seemed to be a few other injured, but no one else had gotten caught as badly as Alya and I had.
We are spotted almost immediately, and our teacher rushes over to us. She had been the first to leave. I couldn’t blame her, really, but it still seemed like something a teacher shouldn’t do. Shouldn’t they protect their students? Whatever. It wasn’t something that I felt was important to worry about at present.
“Oh my goodness, are you both okay?” She asks, to which Alya just raises an eyebrow.
“What do you think? We have literal glass shards sticking out of our bodies.” She says sarcastically. I’m honestly really surprised she’s acting so normal right now. Tears are leaking out of my eyes, and I’m shaking like a wet rat out in the rain. Our teacher tries to make us sit on the floor to wait for the police to arrive, but we both quickly make it clear that’s not going to happen.
Thankfully because the police had already been aware of and chasing the beast, the ambulance arrived within just a couple of minutes. They quickly load me, Alya, and the few other injured students into the vehicle before speeding away from the school. I sigh, relieved to finally be away from that whole situation. I was definitely going to be having some serious nightmares later.
