Long ago before the first breath of Mana, there was God. A being destined to be praised by many for There power rivaled no other in existence. Or so it was believed. Thus a miracle was born.
The stench of sulfur and lime mixed into the night casting an eerie presence on this sacred day. The crowd was silent and hardened. A holiday was about to be born. An ocean of people huddled to finally witness the fall of humanity's biggest sinner ever to come. Their brows sullied in sweat and dirt. Rest was something they had not truly known after their birth. She had made that clear.
Tied to a simple wooden post with countless runes, the Sinner was there. Above them as if looking down at them. Hatred in her eyes for all of them. Why? None of them knew but they didn’t care for an answer. What they merely wanted was an end to her madness no questions asked.
A man approached her clad in gold and silver armor and a cape as white as a baby’s innocence held a torch and approached her. His rugged face did well to show his hate for her. For the decades of loss that this woman had imparted on him was the only reason for his strength and status now. In that only, could he thank her.
As he reached the top of the old wooden steps he strengthened his resolve once more.
[???: My my, anymore and your face will become stuck like that dear Roa.]
[Roa: Save me your concern creature.]
[???: My my, is that anyway to treat a beautiful woman? I surely hope that’s not how you treat your beloved.]
[Roa: Should you utter the Queen's presence again, I shall cut out your tongue and shove it down your throat creature.]
The woman said nothing but replied with a sly smile.
Roa turned his back on her facing his people. An action that usually would spell death however, with the seals of the four great mages he decided it was a risk he would need to take.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
[Roa: People of Denzia! Tonight we are gathered here to bear witness to the divine punishment of this creature! We the many who have been steadfast in our faith, the day has finally come in which our minds can rest easy and our children will know only hope for the future! A stain shall be wiped from our land and shall be sent to the lowest form of Hell set only for her!]
The people cheered with a mix of excitement and caution. To them this woman was the incarnation of death. Even those untouched by mana could feel her presence. A feeling one should experience before their eternal slumber.
[Roa: I sense and understand your fear! For I King of this Holy Land, feel it as well! However!]
Roa unsheathed his Holy blade and the land was filled with a basking yellow. The Holy Blade Sun was cheering with them as well.
[Roa: We have won the war! Take pride in this my family! For the Lord has blessed us with this Holiday!]
Finally, as if a veil was lifted, the people roared in agreeance. They had won and deserved to boast this to their fallen enemy.
[???: My My, you’re all so lively for a woman like me. I can’t say I’m not flattered but none of you are my type unfortunately.]
As the woman said this, she smiled. It was a genuine smile. One from that of a child whose prank had gone off without a hitch.
[???: My, My though you may have won in securing my death, that does not mean I have lost. I have shamed your “god”. One who is seen to be the pinnacle of power. I have climbed the mountain and stand on equal footing to him. I ask all of you, how can you praise a being such as he when I have walked his path?]
The crowd was silenced by this meandering statement. And the veil was propped upon them once again.
The woman's eyes widened, her lips curved ear to ear, and her breath became as ragged as a whore in heat.
[???: GOOD! VERY GOOD! NOTICE YOUR GOD AND SEE HIS WEAKNESS! FOR I HAVE STAINED HIS THRONE WITH MY VERY EXISTENCE AND KNOW EVEN IN MY DEATH, I WILL LIVE! MORE FREE THAN ANY OF YOU!]
The woman's red hair flung in random patterns as her naked body convulsed in laughter. Her yellow eyes rivaled that of the moon and her pale skin shone like a fog in moonlight.
Roa pointed his Holy Sword towards the woman's bosom and cast his judgment upon her. His sword glowed with a white light and angered heat as if baring its fangs towards this mystery of life.
[Roa: I Roa En Demtris, condemn you vile creature, to a painful death, one made for you and only you. Know that through this execution, not even your ashes shall remain. Know, that your soul will never walk upon this land ever again. Feel the unquenched anger of the sun.]
With that, Roa En Demtris slowly plunged his sword into the woman's chest.
Her body glowed with white heat and flames expelled from her eyes. The flames crawled along her as her body convulsed in pain. However her smile never wavered.
[???: YOU WILL ALL REMEMBER ME AS THE ONE WHO STRUCK GOD! THE ONE WHO PULLED HIM FROM HIS THRONE AND SAT IN HIS STEAD EVEN IF FOR A MOMENT! FOR I AM JOKO THE HOLY SINNER!]
With that, The Holiday was born and The Holy Sinner was no more.
