"Welcome... All players are reminded that you must return to level 1 in order to qualify for a chance at immortality. Those of you who have reached near the hundredth floor, don't worry, you will be well rewarded for starting from level 1."
You've been given access to Minotaur Rush level 1...
Welcome player!
"Man, we're all fucked if this doesn't go well. If one of us can't reach the top level this time... We're all dead." Devon Judge made sure to make his appearance disparate from his real life appearance. He picked a strength minotaur to be his starting creature, and logged onto the first servor.
You've arrived at the first level of Minotaur Rush.
Timer 5 hours:55 seconds
Reminder: Failing a level will disqualify you from gaining immortality. For your race, Devon, please make sure to try and reach the hundredth level. If you don't, your world may very well be destroyed.
Devon Judge took a deep breath and grabbed the ax off his back before a gate open and he fell down into a set of tiles. He jumped to the next tile quickly before it disappeared and slowly and carefully hopped forward towards a floating tower.
A series of arrows shot out from his right and flew into his ax before a dragon in the sky dropped bombs at his position. He turned around and slashed through a zombie's corpse before flipping back onto a spinning platform.
Turning around, he made a straight rush for the tower and dodged the dropping bombs and felt the explosions bursting hot air onto the unnatural fur lingering on his back.
His mind calmed because he'd done this level a hundred times, and made his way to the first boss floating on the platform.
Three other random players, three different types of Minotaurs, charged towards the flank with him heading towards its chest.
The boss monster had long horns and eight eyes and seventeen spider legs spreading out of its body. It looked like an alien, but for some reason people loved the unnatural hodgepodge of elements present in Minotaur Rush.
He ignored his desire to think about it and jumped into the air, twisting past a falling bomb, before slashing into the monsters neck seconds before a laser beam shot out of its eyes.
Devon rolled back on his descent and stared up at the dragon beginning to dive towards his location.
"This is it guys! The only shortcut to the eighth floor! I'm taking it!"
Devon didn't wait for the three minotaurs to answer, but noticed thier scoffs present on thier faces. Only five people had successfully timed the dragon jump, and Devon hadn't been one of the exceptions.

However, he had created the game, and had the rare priveledge of analyzing the code of the software. While its wings flapped the eighth time on its descent, while its mouth opened and its large teeth showed for the first time. With its spikes beginning to shoot of its body and fire like missiles, Devon jumped right into the flames and watched his health bar nearly disappear.
[- 500 health]
[-600 health]
Devon reached forward and grabbed for a tooth in the dragon's mouth, holding onto it with all its might while he watched the fire in its throat begin to swell in the surface.
He could feel the sweat dripping down his forehead in the real world, even through the feeling of fur that mixed in with those feelings in the virtual world.
He ignored those feelings and used all his strength to spin away from the swelling fire, and shoot his ax hand towards teh dragon's back. The momentum nearly caused his arm to fall off, and it felt like it too, but his body swayed just enough that he shot into the air with the dragon's descent still on his mind.
With his eyes closed, he reached forward and hoped that the wing wouldn't kill him when he smacked it in the face.
Boom!
A powerful burst of energy caused him to nearly expectorate, but he held fast to the wing with his body nearly split in half by that maneuver.
He felt the fear beginning to rise in his body with the dragon's head turning towards him to check if he'd somehow remained on his back. He knew he had hardly any time to make the next maneuver.
He tossed his ax into the air and felt the freedom of the extra agility it provided when it left his torso. He used the momentum of losing the ax to jump onto the dragon's back and rushed towards its center.
'This better work,' Devon rushed towards the tail with a trail of heat passing by his shoulder. He turned and saw a second dragon in the sky, sending embers of smoke out of its mouth.
Swoosh!
The second dragon swooshed by while Devon looked down at the three minotaurs down below trying to fight the second boss.
Without a strength minotaur, they had a chance to win the level, but it would be a hundred times harder.
He gulped, and watched a light take over his body with another set of flames bursting into him.
