Hey guys,
So, it's been... years but I decided to add this post to inform you of the release of Minglings book 2 which just official released on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.
It's a rewritten version of what was on here at some point and what can be found on my Patreon.
Seeing as that many probably won't recall what even happened, I've added a little recap below :)
The short of it is: It's a book about Earth and all its inhabitants being pulled into another world. Everyone is forced to select a species, and when they wake, they are forever changed. The main characters pick Kobold, and book one dealth with how they find their way from Earth to the new world. Below is a more in-depth recap.
Book two takes off with Jake separated from the rest and changed into a dragon.
There are things called mana-lits that drop from certain kills and that those who can do magic can absorb to become stronger. Depending on the species, this does different things, ranging from sped-up or mutated evolution to increased magical prowess. These aren't as important in book one but become far more important in book two and far more as the story continues.
There's a massive world with existing races and species that have a long history, with mysteries on the world and what happened to the people from earth.

The world gets a rude awakening as an emergency broadcast warns everyone of an impending armageddon. The first step will be for all of humanity to merge their current form with a fantasy being. In the broadcast, the world leaders tell everyone to choose the Goblin, which many people end up ignoring.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Jake and Mason are two such people, and after the first changes finish, they have turned into Kobolds. Jake, blue and silvery, and Mason, red and golden, set out in the changed world. Within moments, they come across Goblins beating up a girl, and they manage to save her. Together with Emma, who is badly wounded, they make their way to a nearly abandoned hospital in hopes of finding someone to help her.
The hospital has only one living tenant, David, who harbors a horrible secret. Besides having chosen to become a Fiend, he is keeping his girlfriend captive.
Mason ends up killing him, and shortly after, the trio has to escape from a mass of rats. As they flee into the jungle that now borders their city, they are transported to another world. The real world, according to the broadcast.
In another part of the world, Sandra, a soldier in the army, manages to survive her own ordeals. She, too, chooses to become a Kobold and, together with a handful of soldiers, flees into the jungle, chased by an army of Goblins.
As the two groups travel around, they eventually encounter each other, as well as a group of native Kobolds. Led by Bolyr, the Kobolds want to bring them to their island to be safe from the insane Goblins. During their travels, Jake begins having bouts of uncontrollable magic.
Bolyr tells them that he is awakening and will eventually turn into the next and most powerful stage of evolution. He is turning into a dragon, something that is extremely rare.
Reaching the sea, they have a perilous journey towards the native Kobold's island. Though they suffer losses, they eventually reach it.
The native Kobolds, however, have issues of their own. Consisting of only members of the Antraci tribe, they have fled to this area of the world, far from civilization, after a clan war. Now weakened, the idea of having fresh blood, especially as powerful as the earthling-turned-kobolds, drives one of their leaders to try and capture Sandra and Emma.
The group manages to flee, but in the commotion, Jake ends up lost in the sea. There, in the middle of nowhere, he awakens to his dragon heritage.
