From the looks of the sun it is currently somewhere around noon and you might be wondering if I overslept or what but the answer is I didn't I woke up patrolled around the clearing, took a dumb, check on the farm , revived the plans I made for the mine and spent the time cutting down trees to get wood and replanting the sapling which is weird cause I had to actually replant not tap the block and it replanted any ways I am currently reviewing the plans for the mine one final time before heading out the plan is simple actually am going to go into the forest but along the way carve out a arrow pointing the way home on a few trees so I don't get lost then am going to look for a little hill or if I can't find one close by then am just going to mine downwards towards the ground but I don't want to result to that cause it seems more dangerous and have a higher risk of collapsing, I don't want to go to far from the clearing and no it not because of am afraid of getting lost though that part of it cause even with my arrows I have a horrible sense of direction,instead it because of the journey having to go back and forth every day will be so stressful and tiring I might not have the strength to even mine but also not to close to the clearing incase of a mudslide or a cave in or basically anything else that happens on a hill so it won't destroy my house and the clearing , but my major concern lies in the cave-ins cause unlike the game blocks don't float in this world which is a major concern cause cave-ins are all but certain and not wanting to be a victim of one, it got me thinking of ways to prevent such and that when I had the idea or well stole it from the game in the game mineshafts support beams were pretty much useless since blocks float but here they are a necessity which is why i spent all morning chopping down trees and i must say i got a pretty good haul in wood, leaves, sticks and so much apple it made me sick. The amount of stuff was so much i had to place most of them in the chest since my inventory isn't enough and I also need space to carry the blocks I mined.
Done going through the plan in my head I set out for the first time since I found the clearing leaving it behind and heading north about an hour in to my search and finishing up carving an arrow pointing towards the west behind some bushes as the way home I saw a fairy size hill a little short but okay for some hiking but that not what I came here to do pushing some bushes away as I came in front of the hill the outside was covered with dirt blocks but there are some spot with stone blocks sticking out which made it perfect. Summoning my shovel as I start to mine the dirt away creating a 5 by 5 entrance as I moved five blocks into the hill before placing the first support beams keeping the rhythm of five blocks before a support beam is placed after my 10th support beam I finally strike stone switching out my shovel for my pickaxe as I begin to mine the blocks. I must say I instantly regretted it It has been 15 minutes and the blocks still haven't broken yet and I am starting to get frustrated quickly stopping to catch my breath; oh yeah in this world if you break a block to a certain point and stop you don't have to start all over once you start mining again but so far stone has been the hardest block to mine and my hands are already killing me and I haven't even mined a single block which made me wonder how long diamond or god forbid obsidian will take seeing as how it takes so long to mine In the game , resuming my torture as I tried to distract myself by thinking of what to upgrade my house too once I got enough stone maybe a castle, a mansion, skyscraper but the taught of the amount of stone that would go in to that made me consider a bigger box made of stone.
It has been 30 minutes and I finally broke the stone block turning it into cobblestone with my pickaxe left with barely half of it full durability continuing my torture and in the process widening my mineshafts.

It's been an hour since I first mined my first stone and I had gone through three pickaxe deciding to screw it and make a stone pickaxe and boy am I glad I did through a little heavier than the wooden pickaxe the weight was worth it as it practically cut the time I spent mining a single stone in half spending only 15 minutes per block and within 45 minutes I already had my self a second pickaxe.
It's finally late evening and the sun is currently on the verge of setting heading back home I think I got a pretty good haul of about seventeen cobblestone which may not seem like much especially compared to the game but it plenty to me cause after spending hours mining them am more than satisfied with my haul today plus I can always come back now the problem is to figure out what to craft with the cobblestones , definitely a furnace so I can get some charcoal and finally have some light around the house so that 8 down, now what else maybe I can upgrade all my tools to stone if it anything like the pickaxe it way more efficient.
Upon arriving home the sun is on its way to setting but still having some daylight I decided to begin crafting but it seems all the blocks won't be enough to craft all the tools deciding to forgo a shovel since I don't need one at this point. Thirty minutes later and everything is ready not wanting to place a furnace in my house afraid it might set it on fire and not wanting to be outside when night come I think I made the right choice, instead I placed it outside the fence making sure to clear all the grass and leaves around it using one of the last cobblestone as a stand cause am a little worried if I place it on the ground it might find a way to start a fire and am definitely not placing it on a plank, guess this are just one of those necessary sacrifices that have to be made. The furnace looked exactly like the game except it was more realistic, also being able to place my hands through the openings on it guessing it similar to the game and the top part for what I want to be smelted and the bottom as fuel.
After setting up the furnace I placed some oak wood and I decided to try the if the broken wooden tools could be used as tinder but after waiting five minutes without anything happening I switched the broken tools for oak planks thinking it was the problem but five minutes later with nothing happening, getting frustrated I managed to curl my anger and think this through first let start with what I know everything in this world holds a form of realism from crafting tables needing to use the tools around it, tools breaking and food expiring so what do i need to make the furnace work i have everything needed tinder,and the wood so what all that left is fire "smack" if your wondering that the sound of me face palming how am i supposed to get fire i made the furnace so I can make fire after a while I decided to go back to when I was in the boy scout crafting some sticks and gathering some leaves. I began the long and painful process of starting fire by rubbing sticks together.
Forty minutes later and I finally see smoke quickly putting the leaves on it and blowing gently I finally have fire I swear if this doesn't work and I wasted my time am going to leave in darkness from now on it not like monster spawn in my house , placing the fire in to the bottom part if the furnace and blowing gently as the old tools caught fire a wave of warmth hit me , seeing another use for the furnace is so useful I don't know if this world has winter or cold biomes but having a furnace around even for just the cold night seems like a godsent, as the fire grew gradually burning through the planks turning it to charcoal it was then that I noticed the sun has already set and the monsters will be here soon placing more Planks and wood in both compartment I quickly bolted in to the house guess I won't be having some torches today. Getting comfortable on my bed of leaves trying to remind my self to switch them out for new ones as most of the leaves are already dried up another thing that is different about this world from the game getting comfortable regardless and heading of to dream land.
