Chapter 262. One last battle

Chapter 262. One last battle

I took a deep breath as I felt the energy of the Void entering my core.

The energy of the System was fighting for its life trying to get out the Void energy, and the only reason it couldn't do it, was because of the Nether energy.

While I was in my obsidian form, I was actually opening a channel to the Command block from the White planes.

So when I was in this form, I could type commands with my mind, and they would happen anywhere in the Overworld.

But that was the problem. I only had that power in the Overworld, in other dimensions, I was severely limited.

I think this is how the System felt when it lost its authority after the fight with the Void.

It was so frustrating to have the ability to bend reality at will, only to be limited by something invisible.

So even if it tried, the System couldn't invade the Nether or The End.

But, that's what I was trying to overcome.

By absorbing the energy of the Nether, I was expanding my authority in a new dimension.

Normally, that would be an impossible endeavor, but the fact that Alexa gave me permission to do this and the energy of the Nether was half of the System, it became possible.

But that wasn't my final goal. Sure I was more powerful with extra energy in my battery, but I was still limited by what I could do once I got to The End.

So my final struggle was to absorb the energy of the Void, something that was not compatible with my body nor my energy reserves.

But the only reason I could even attempt this was because of the Nether energy, since it had a foot in the Void.

I tried to gather more of the chaotic energy and coat it with the one from the Nether.

This seems to be the only way, the System energy would not spit it out of my body instantly.

But as they got closer to each other, and tried to mix, a reaction appeared.

Some parts of my body exploded or died off.

It was painful, but nothing that couldn't be healed.

So after I pieced myself together, I decided to try a new strategy.

What If I used the Nether energy to hold the Void energy like a net, not on the exterior, but on the interior as well?

After some precise wavering, I managed to do it and absorbed it into my core.

That was a big mistake, since the System energy destroyed the Void pockets instantly, making me suffer even more.

But I finally felt like I was making progress with something.

So after I finished my healing, I did the same thing but this time, I put a net over the System energy as well.

When the 2 energies clashed this time, they were much slower, and the danger was less than anticipated.

This was the furthest I managed to mix the 2 energies and I felt that it was close to the success.

With this new discovery, I did more experiments, which were less dangerous than what I had done previously until I finally managed to connect it all.

It seems that the right order was similar to a chess board, where the white squares were the System, while the black ones were the Void.

Of course, this was all possible with the Nether energy in between.

The squares were so small that the clash between the 2 energies was not strong enough to damage my body, so instead It was absorbed by the Nether energy, giving me an almost infinite amount.

As I gathered more energy around my core, my mace than my body, I could feel the change on multiple levels.

I felt like I grew so tall that I could see what was beyond the fence of my property.

I was in the Nether dimension, but I could also see the Overworld and The End at the same time.

Not only that, but I could see some walls higher beyond those dimensions, and I instinctively knew that there was more that I could not see.

So I decided to concentrate on what I could see for now.

The Overworld was a beautiful dimension, filled with the potential to be something greater!

Maybe even join the other unknown dimensions!

But now, it was like a dying world, since the sole provider was no more.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

Every world had a God, some of them you could see and feel, while others were so powerful that they held multiple worlds in their palm, and you couldn't feel its presence.

Next was the Nether.

While it had a rough upbringing, the discovery Alexa made was enough to make it even more powerful than the Overworld.

Unfortunately, the attack from the Void came too early and would destroy this seed before it could bloom.

If only we had 100 more years, the Nather would've been the new ruler of the 3 dimensions, but it was not meant to be.

Finally, there was The End, the dimension that held the Void.

I could feel that this was an abandoned world, a lonely one.

This dimension tried to find warmth from the outside since its insides were cold.

The Dragon was hurt, betrayed, and even fell into despair.

But now, something worse was happening, she felt nothing anymore.

She accepted her role as a destroyer and was ready to claim her first victim.

I opened my eyes and felt the energies around me react to my will.

It's finally over, I have control over it.

I saw a link that wanted to connect with me, and I gave it permission.

I already knew this since I could see all the dimensions at the same time.

And the one attacking us wasn't the Dragon anymore, but Noah himself.

He saw how much progress we made, and began to get worried.

That's why he attacked us with his own army, not the Voids.

He was powerful enough to take over the Overworld, and this would be a beautiful gift for his crush.

At least, that's what he was thinking.

There are still some weapons we have that can be used against him if things get worse.

I looked past him and the 3 headed dragons, and saw the embodiment of the Void.

Then, she opened her eyes and looked back at me, before closing them again.

I knew that this was an invitation, and I had no choice but to accept it.

Even though we both knew the end result.

I see, then it's time for the final battle.

With those final words, I let my body fall into the Void beyond the Bedrock.

I kept falling and falling, and the energy of the Void tried to corrupt me more and more.

But with the help of the Nether and the System, I managed to turn that destructive power, into something useful for me.

I went down some more, and the energy began to get ticker which forced me to pour more from the Command block to keep up.

Suddenly, I saw the portal to The End.

It was exactly like in the game, with the exception that some black mist was pouring out of it.

As I passed the portal, I felt the space shift around me, and I was in The End with the Void surrounding me.

Not too far from me was Noah and the 3 headed dragon, who were surprised by my sudden appearance.

"Who are you, and what are you doing in here?"

One of the heads asked with a worried voice while Noah was examining me closely with his giant eye.

I didn't want to reveal my true power to him, so I quickly blocked his attempts at scanning.

He quickly closed his eye, and I could see purple blood slowly dripping from the backlash.

Since I was in the Void, I was growing more powerful as time passed by absorbing the energy around me.

Noah could feel that and was increasingly getting worried, while the 3 headed dragon was too weak to understand the difference between us.

Just as I was about to quickly finish this battle, someone teleported in front of me.

It was a tall figure with a black crown on her head and huge wings on her back.

But at her level of power, she didn't need those.

I instinctively knew she was Violet, and she got this powerful by absorbing the rest of Alexa that was supposed to keep the Nether in balance.

She told me I should leave this place since it wasn't my battle.

I knew she wanted me to conserve my strength, but they were not strong enough to be a problem for me anymore.

Unfortunately, the Ender Dragon was not willing to wait for me anymore, so I had to leave everything to Violet.

She was powerful now, but in the same situation as me, with not enough experience.

I had to finish my fight quickly.

I quickly typed a Command in my head, and I was suddenly teleported to the last place I met the dragon.

She looked the same as before, sitting on a huge island surrounded by obsidian pillars sleeping comfortably like there wasn't a war out there thrown in her name.

I felt something trying to scan me, but I quickly blocked it.

This finally got a reaction out of her, as she opened one of her purple eyes.

But no, something was different about them.

The iris was still purple, but the rest was all black like the Void.

Then I realized, why I felt that she was so powerful.

I first thought she was always like this, but no.

She was more powerful than ever, and I don't think I had a chance of winning this fight.

You accepted the Void, haven't you?

She didn't respond. Instead, she lifted her head and looked with all of her 5 eyes at me, and that was enough of an answer.

What was I referring to when I asked that?

As I absorbed the power of the Void, I realized something.

The dragon and the energy it's supposed to represent were quite clashing in personalities.

The energy itself only wanted to consume and destroy, while the body seemed more gentle, curios, and filled with other emotions.

That would mean, that the dragon was rebelling against her very own nature.

That's why she was so weak in the fight against the System, or even when I ran away.

She was fighting with herself first then with me.

But it seems that in the past few months, she accepted her purpose, and what I was now seeing, was the remaining part that fought back.

She had clear eyes, but behind that surface I could see endless rage and destruction ready to explode.

She was now truly the Void.

If I want to make a power scale on where she would be, I would say she's at the very top.

At the bottom would be the Wither, with the strength to wipe out a city with a thought, and easily take over a kingdome.

Next would be Merry and the 3-headed dragon. Capable of taking over the Overworld without a problem, since nothing in it, is dangerous enough to hurt.

After them, is Noah, strong enough to create a world, but he lacks the energy to do something to the Overworld level, mayer something smaller then the Nether.

Violet, Alexa and the System are on the same level as him, maybe even higher depending in what time of their life we're talking about.

And finally there's me and the Ender Dragon.

Capable of destroying worlds without a problem, the space bends at our will, and the only limitation for what we can create is our experience and imagination.

But that was the problem.

Even if I was on the same level as her, I didn't have enough experience to fight on equal grounds.

I found a way to make all the worlds coexist.

I hoped I could reach the last sane side of her.

But the response I got was disappointing, as she got up and prepared for our fight.

I'm sorry about wh-

Suddenly I couldn't see anymore, and my body began to fall into the Void.
