Taking a look around the cavern, there is a hole on one side that I see as I get closer to it. It does not appear to have an end, but seeing that far is difficult for my vision.
I approach the hole, slinking my way closer. Tasting the air, nothing appears to be different, until I get to the entrance of the hole.
Suddenly, the scents of fire and fear permeate through my receptors. I can detect traces of multiple creatures, all much larger than me. I don’t want to be attacked here, so I simply wait, and observe.
Beyond the hole I came from was another cave adjourning it. This cave was much taller than the one I came from, with white threads stretched from corner to corner. At one side was a massive spider, appearing to reach over two meters in diameter. It had 8 furry limbs supporting it above the ground, with an equal amount of red eyes.
“I’m glad I stuck to observing,” I thought to myself. That spider looked very dangerous to me. I was probably smaller than one segment of its leg. Observe seemed like a pretty important word, just like status. Maybe thinking it would do something with the light. “Observe,” I thought, focusing on the spider. Suddenly, a light appeared, displaying a description of it.

It didn’t show much, but it was something. I didn’t want to only look at the spider, as it wasn’t the only thing present. Battling the spider were four humanoids. I tried to observe them in a similar fashion to what I did to the spider.

Now that was a lot of information. The race was probably indicative of their physical features as some were thinner, taller, or wider. The class was probably how they fought. I didn’t remember seeing a class in my status, but that was probably due to the limited options the light said I had.
Focusing on their battle, the pyromancer utilized flame to burn the spider. They seemed to be the most useful one in the fight, as the spider was constantly on fire and seemed to be on its last legs due to the constant damage. The berserker was just waiting in front of the spider, probably getting ready to fight back if it tried to attack. The rogue was currently trying to sneak around the spider, but didn’t appear to do anything.
Lastly, the druid was the most confusing one to me. It hadn’t done anything, but appeared to be concentrating on something. Suddenly, a vibrant green bird appeared, and flew directly at the spider’s eyes, as everybody else turned around.
After the druid shouted “Duck!”, the bird exploded in a bright flashbang of light. The spider, disoriented by the flash, was weak to the berserker and rogue, who instantly capitalized on the opening. The spider was quickly felled afterwards.
“Hey Sky, I don’t think that bird is a duck.” The kobold remarked.
“Shut up baldy.“ The infernal responded. This seemed weird to me, as the kobold wasn’t bald, but had a lot of hair. It might have something to do with the race, though.
After the spider was dead, a large gold chest appeared near its body. The four people began to crowd around it, when it finally opened.
“Hey, it’s a shield. We definitely need one of those.“ The half-elf said sarcastically.
“We don’t need shield. I am the shield.” The dwarf giant intoned.
To me, he seemed like a perfectly capable shield. But maybe there was an inside joke here, like the baldy joke for the rogue. Suddenly, I looked over, and the infernal was looking right at the hole I came from. Maybe it stood out somehow, with the fire illuminating the entirety of the room.
Scared, I tried to slither away from the scary people that took down a monster. Maybe I would be their next target? However, with my motions I disturbed a rotting carcass on the ground. The infernal looked at me, and stared with sharp green eyes.
