2072, Earth faced a serious natural resource crisis. The solution for the crisis was to mine form deeper underground or mine out of the earth. But the most popular option was securing the mining rights of Antarctica. The world has been divided into groups. Russia and China withdraw from the UN and made the New Soviet Reunion. And America rallied their allies and made the UN as their own. Because of these global movements, the world has faced another cold war.

 [2072/8/21, Antarctica Jang Bogo station]

Screens in the briefing room are glowing brightly. Stood in front of them is a man in a white military uniform. 

“A few days ago, some unauthorized groups attacked and captured the McMurdo Station. We have nuclear facilities inside the station. If this information spills out, there will be a new cold war. So, this is a top-secret operation. Don’t get sighted or noticed by other nation’s soldiers. We will head for it at 8:00 AM.”

After his last word, people hearing his announcement moved on. But one man came to the man in a white uniform. 

 “Oh, major Jun, have some questions?”

Major Jun smiles.

“No, colonel May. I’m just here to ask who I am going to support this time.”

“You are going to support a special unit. The Chimera Unit. Their neurons are connected to a computer. But, it will be not like what you’ve thought.”

“Why?”

“Tomorrow, you will see it with your own eyes.”

The next day, Jun slams the door open.

“Are you serious? You call children a special unit?”

“Relax, Jun. I felt that too when I first saw them.”

“They are just a child! Did they really think that they could send a child and excuse themselves that it was for the safety of the world? You are all demons! I am out of the UN army right after this mission!”

“Do as you want. But, Jun. We are all demons.”
