I've always wanted to write and publish a book. I remember the magic I felt when I was a kid reading fantasy and science fiction novels, watching cartoons, or playing the older elder scrolls games. That feeling of believing something could be real, that there was more under the surface than what was shown, has always been the true something else of storytelling to me.
I'm nowhere near the level of being able to pull that off like I want, but the need to create something with that magic is why I started writing as a child. I'm grown now, have two kids, and am a member of my country's military. I still can't shake the need to find that magic again. It's gotten harder to feel it, though, but writing lets me tap into the place in my mind where it lives and try to recapture it for others. Maybe someday I'll manage it properly, until then I'll keep typing away until I can.

The book is doing well on Amazon, better than I was expecting, and it's definitely validating. It might not have happened without all the pre-orders, encouragement, typo-catching, and critical critique you guys provided though--it probably wouldn't have.
I'll be away from home for a while; so, book two is coming, but might not come as quickly as I'd like. Still, I'm very thankful for everyone who has read, commented, and talked to me about my story. I don't think I'd be writting, or reading, as much as I do without this community.
I'll keep getting better as a writer. I hope I see all of you around as I do so, whether as other authors or readers.

Thank you, again, to all of you,
