In that dark ore pod sein was dreaming, he saw his parents and the fun times they had together.

It made his eyes tear up, to him that was the most fun he had.

One day when his parents went into the small forest near their village and never returned, the villagers told him that they might be already dead.

At that time he cried so much, and no one from the village could see the Monsters from blood mist including himself.

Due to some strange accidents in the village they banished him from there saying that he was cursed.

He was only 10 years old at that time, he ran away from there while the other kids started to throw stones at him.

His head got injured from one of the stones, he ran as if his life depended on it even though that was the truth.

While running without wearing any sort of slippers or footwears, the sole of his feet started to bleed by the jagged stones and left the blood imprint on the ground as he ran.

For the next six years he worked at many places, he himself don't know how many places he worked for a piece of bread.

At that time the corruption started to increase and the news kept saying that new monsters started to appear all over the world.

As the days passed, one day after cleaning the fallen leaves infront of small store he saw something.

He rubbed his eyes and looked at it again, but his eyes were still blurry. His vision became red and his sight become foggy. He washed his face and eyes and looked at the thing he saw earlier.

It was a monster around three meters tall with two heads and a whip like tail, he screamed as soon as he saw that and ran away from it.

That monster saw him and started to chase after him, when he looked back he saw that monster still chasing him.

It swung its tail like whip and aimed at sein, it didn't reach him but that tail caused many accidents throughout the place.

To those who doesn't chosen by the blood mist, the accident seems like natural, even though they know that it might be caused by a monster.

The people doesn't want to involve with those monsters and die, that's why they see the damage caused by the monsters as accidents.

On that day that monster chased after sein for a long time, then it gradually returned to the place where it was previously stood.

As he ran away from the monster and hide behind a broken wall, he hid there for sometime and only came out from there after he confirmed that monster is not following him.

He was afraid to go back to the place where he usually sleep, but there is nothing he could do because of the monster.

He wandered around sometime and saw an ad on the newspaper, ' If you see something strange please contact the nearby public health center. '

He knows about it, the people who can see the Monsters of blood mist will get a place to sleep and food to eat.

And that is how he reached the public health center.

In his sleep he started struggle to breath, it's as if something is choking him. He started to cough...the sound of him coughing echoes through the pod.

The pod slowly opened, cold air brushed through his face and he slowly opened his eyes and looked around, he saw tall dark trees in blue. Sein squint his eyes and looked once more.

He was in the middle of a forest, he tried to remember what happened.

"I was at the public health center....and I met a guy, he told me something? Right? "

He slowly step out of the pod, his legs were wobbling and an envelope fall from his inner pocket.

He picked it up and there was a sign to open it, he tears that side and take a look at the inside. It was a letter.

He looked at the envelope once more and saw his name written on it and the letter, he opened it and read.

“Dear Stray, if you read this then you must be in the first trial of the blood mist.

You don't need to panic, we the staffs from public health center have you the necessary items to survive the first trial.

Please look at the bag inside the pod, and please check the contents in there as well.”

That letter ended there, sein found a bag inside the pod that he was in. He started to skimmer through its contents.

There was four energy bars two bottles of water one large packet with MRE written on it and a knife, small rope and lastly another letter addressed to him.

He started to read the letter, it also mentioned the things he needs to know.

“We hope that you checked the contents, you can last about two days.

The first trial is different to each person, but we verified that each trials might need a weapon and possibly last upto several days.

If you use you resources carefully you can last upto a week, and you might found another way to obtain foods.

To proceed with first trial you need to go to biggest tree you can see, there you will get to know what will be your first trial.

The letter ended there saying him best wishes, sein started to look around and to find the biggest tree.

He saw a giant tree on the east side, it was poking through the red colour clouds. He take his bag and wear it and put the knife on his waist where he grab it quickly.

He started walk towards that tree, on his way he saw many strange creatures and felt the poking stares from someone or something.

He started to walk faster and, finally he reached infront of the giant tree.

It was clearly different from the the trees that saw previously, there he saw a man wearing gray robes holding a spear on its hand.

As it saw sein, that thing come towards him and smiled. Sein saw the teeths of that thing, it was a yellow with slight hint of red in it.

That thing take a piece of worn out paper on its hand, and extended that paper to him.

As sein took that paper, that thing started to talk in coarse voice.

[Once you read this I will open the gate of first trial.]

Sein looked at the old paper with yellow hue, there was something written on it.

[Collect the fangs of a night-hound and present it to the gate keeper.]

He was confused about it, that thing which gave him that paper once again spoke.

[I'm the gate keeper, you need to collect the fangs of a night-hound and present it to me, that's the only way you can pass trial. On the other side of that paper you can see the drawing of the night hound. You have three days to finish this trial.]

Sein stared at the worn-out paper, his mind racing with questions. Night-hounds? Fangs? What kind of creatures were they, and where could he find them in this forest?

He didn't know how or where to find the night-hound, he was puzzled and stared at the giant tree as he looked at that the gate keeper slowly fades away in the air.
