Chapter 61: A Look At Casper Clay

A Profile and Analysis On Casper Clay

-TheLookingGlass

I’ve gotten a lot of requests for this one (from guilds too), but given that this is a fairly public ordeal, I felt magnanimous and decided to share this to everyone. Usually, I charge upward of five figures for something like this, but I was too psyched up not to do this one.

As I have said many times before, my gift allows me to gain insight into most of the things I look at. I say most because there is a limit to what I can see and understand. Once I go past class-5 items, objects, and people, it gets hard (almost impossible) to decipher.

Here’s what I have to say about Casper Clay:

Estimated Ruin Energy Signature: (Class Four)

There has been no actual image of it, but it is well known that ruin energy is perceptible to people with gifts like mine. I did my research and Casper Clay has appeared a few months ago, fighting off imps, quite heroically I might add. At that time, he appeared to only be class-two. I don’t think he jumped two classifications and since there is a huge gap between his appearances, I’d say he grew in that time or his gift evolved.

Speculation Into The Nature Of His Gift:

I can’t quite make this one out. I know I said going past class-5 is difficult, but sometimes I run across special gifts and abilities that just block everything out. I’ve analyzed every image of Casper I could find and I must say, he is an enigma.

I know you’re probably thinking about the blood he controlled or his skeletal body, but dear reader, that isn’t all there is to a gift. Of course, there are a lot of cookie-cutter gifts that do nothing but add general enhancements. The truly rare ones are often unorthodox, shapeshifters, elemental avatars– hell, I hear that Sleeping Lion has someone who can shoot beams of light that tear things apart at a cellular level. Isn’t that something?

My point is, Casper Clay is very clearly, at least to me, one of those special cases that can’t be quantified due to his uniqueness. Yes, I said it, Casper Clay has a unique gift in my eyes. Keep that in mind by the end of all of this.

Estimated Combat Potential:

I literally watched that video of Casper Clay fighting those New Era guys over one thousand times (Yes, I counted). Specifically, the point after he gets punched in the face. I know it’s been turned into a gif and meme’d about, but there is something happening to Casper. I don’t know why he’s just standing there, but after he gets up, his RES goes haywire. No, it doesn’t shoot up to an entirely different level, but the consistency of it does become unstable. I personally think that there is something else mixed in with his ruin energy signature, but I have no proof other than an instinctive feeling.

If you watched the video to its gory end, then you should be able to see that Casper Clay is a hybrid fighter. I see traces of close, mid, and long-range options within his fighting. What does that mean? I’d say he can perform well in any role given to him. With that alone, that shows he is a great fit for any team composition and could have immense adaptability with enough training and experience.

Additional Observations:

Now is the time for my favorite part of these profiles and analyzations.

I need to backtrack a bit for this one. I know you think we’ve covered everything, but if you go back to the point where Casper is punched and slow it down a little. There is a blink-and-you-miss-it moment where he appears to regenerate the broken parts of his bones!

If you’re new to this site, then you wouldn’t know it, but regeneration is almost always a good sign. There are countless forms of regeneration such as elemental, energy conversion, and even sleeping– before you flood my comment section, yes, there are those who can regrow limbs and recover from fatal injuries just by losing consciousness– that’s just to name a few.

Casper appears to have an endurance-based regenerative factor which means, the more punishment he receives, the less he’ll recover. There is a chance that he could have the complete opposite, where the more he’s hit the more he’ll recover. If the latter is correct, it could be supported by the fact that he appears exhausted by the end of the video. Though, if you see where his arm gets lopped off it makes it seems as if he can actively recover. (I’ve watched the part where his arm gets chopped and he barely even flinches!)

Lastly, there is the part where he turns that guy’s arm into a polearm. Rewind to a few months ago and you’ll see him doing the same with an imp’s skeleton. It appears that he can temporarily create weapons with limbs and maybe just bones in general. Compared to the imp video, the weapon Casper uses in the new vid takes on gold color. This is NOT a coincidence.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

If Casper has the ability to create weapons, then they appear to be able to adapt to the material used. He can also ENCHANT aforementioned weapons! It is by no means unheard of, but those who can enchant objects are super rare. I mean for Pete's sake, Eternal Sword is paying their resident blacksmith hundreds of millions of dollars a year to churn a minimum of ten weapons. TEN! He or she has remained anonymous since their tenure started for quite obvious reasons.

I am in no way shape or form saying Casper can make an enchantment worth even a tenth of the weapons Eternal Sword creates, but enchanting is extremely useful no matter what level it is. Especially if he doesn’t need super expensive resources to do it. Even if he did (which would be mind-blowing) enchantments can turn the tables in an instant.

Conclusion and Concerns:

Casper Clay is someone who guilds will and should fight tooth and nail for and I’ll tell you why below. If I were in an executive position, I would make sure to thoroughly examine him before signing him for a multi-million dollar contract. He will save you millions in artifact expenditure and earn you billions!

-His growth rate is up there with some of the legendary gifted. He may reach class-5 in another year or two. If he is fed enough resources that go well with his gift, that time could be potentially sped up by a frightening amount.

-Casper appears to be very fluid as far as combat roles go. He can stand in the backline of formations and harass creatures as well as anyone with a long-range projectile gift. Alternatively, he can stand shoulder to shoulder in the frontline among those who excel with close-combat abilities.

-Regeneration AND Enchantment. Without a direct confirmation from the man himself, it is hard to say how these abilities work and if there is any trade-off. Still, just having them in his repertoire dramatically boosts his value.

-Concerns! Other than standard concerns like potential drawbacks, I have a single issue that makes me worry!

Where are the bone bois?! I saw the old video and he raised a skeleton from the body of a dead imp. In the new video, as grim as it may be, he doesn’t turn the corpse into a skeleton when the opportunity is right there.

This makes me wonder if he has an adaptive/evolving gift. I’ve said things like rare and unique all throughout this analysis, but a gift like that would make him only one of three people in the world with it and destined to reach Class-7 within a decade or less.

Ten years ago, there were six people in the world with the type of gift I mentioned, but the nature of it is extremely dangerous to the user. There is still research underway to understand the mysteriousness of an adaptive/evolving gift, but from what’s out there, it is clear that it puts a heavy burden on the body of the one using it. What it essentially does is fundamentally change the user’s body in reaction to fatal injuries, incredible stress, or even subconscious thought. After too many changes, the body begins to break down which ultimately leads to death.

-Now before you all run for the hills, this is the only my SPECULATION. I defaulted to the worst-case scenario, but it is more than likely that I’m wrong since there is no evidence and no apparent sign. I just like to stir the pot and overreact sometimes.

Last Thing:

Do not ask me about the possibility of artifacts, I’m not an amateur. The ruin energy signature of artifacts is extremely different in composition to that of people with gifts. If there was a possibility that he used an artifact, I would have said something.

Boneboi4life(New): BONE BOIS BONE BOIS BONE BOIS… (Read More)

Chill_Pill: Fingers crossed that Red Owl picks this guy up! Managers get a big bonus when special talents roll in.

EternalBORED: Those greedy bastards at Eternal Sword don’t deserve this guy. Keep him out of their hands at ALL costs. They’ll monopolize his talents just like they did with their blacksmith and we’ll all suffer for it.

TheRealCasperClay(New): Plz take this down or I’ll sick my bone bois on you.

HairyLarry: I don’t care what guild he signs with, I just want to see him competing in the guild competitions this year. Plus, if he becomes an official guild member, I get the chance to add him to my guild fantasy team. There is a ten-million-dollar prize pool at the end of the season and if I get him then I’ll be much closer to it.

IStandWithNewEra: Why are you guys are praising this fucking guy?! He committed murder on video and all of you are praising him for it. I’m honestly sickened by society these days.

Butterboat: @IStandWithNewEra made 233 other accounts just to dislike this post lol. Seriously though, get over yourself. New Era declared war on the entire world so I'd say they deserve whatever terrible thing coming to them.

Boneboi4ever(New): @Boneboi4life Bone bois assemble!

Boneboi4eternity(New): @Boneboi4life @Boneboi4ever I have heard your call brothers, now let us bone!

SeriousNFurious: I swear I know this guy! He used to work at this corpse retrieval place with me. We messed with him all of the time because he acted so weird. Guess it makes sense that his gift involves dead things.

LaughingAtYourPain: @SeriousNFurious even if that’s true, you shouldn’t brag about it because you burned the biggest bridge of your life lol. You’re an absolute idiot. If you're lucky, maybe you can kiss his boots and he'll forgive you.

GimmeDaMerch: Oh, this guy is going to bring in a lot of merchandise deals once a guild picks him up! I'll be the first to rip it off lmao
