Dull screech is heard as a massive mass of Eletal is moving towards the dirt ground and beings, diverse as it can be on such exotic lands, are moving close to prepare to go beyond their home-world.
“Do you have everything?” Mellnyon, alkumit, asks “your infatuation with exotic beings will get you in trouble” she said, looking at her daughter
Her child clicked with her scissor like beak “Few things can beat a radioactive elemental and I would be long dead anyway if that was the case” she says as she starts to strap a bag almost as large as her body on her back “and yes I have checked 6 times, everything is ready”
“Zhalatriahash!” Her husband says “sorry, it's just 133 earth years have just past so fast, even after seeing you slay the Catcher to officially become an adult, it's just so much emotions” He says as he gives their daughter one last thing
Their daughter grabs it and looks at it “do I really need this?” She says? “They are selling these things everywhere” The item was a amulet with a central bone, the only remains of the Catcher she slain
Her parents click in sync “it's your achievement of becoming an adult and you like those type of things” they said as the giant ship starts to make some sounds to prepare everyone
“fine” Zhalatriahash says, a bit annoyed and anxious but happy to go to the melting pot she has seen in countless videos
“Everyone, everyone, prepare for the vocabulary transaction I aint a charity” a rough voice says from a speaker on the ship
Zhal starts to move towards the hulking spaceship, she look back one last time “Thanks for everything dad and mom, I will be sure to share my adventures on our family platform”
“bye honey, we love you and come back whenever you want” her parents looking at their daughter all grown up
Zhal moved to the line, hearing communication between the shipmaster and the potential passenger, but busy trying not to stare at the being in front of her.
It was a rough skin, skinny sig legged being, obsidian dark skin, but a lot of red and orange color growths on its back like a whole mini world on its sticking out, but being completely crushed by two giant backpacks, two of its legs were at the back and the rest in the middle-front of its body.
Its back legs were curved at the back and had complete flat ends it seems, the rest of its limbs were the same but had sig fingers on each, two of them holding some sort of equipment.
It's a Skarabien, she realized, not an uncommon being, but it stands out because it seems to be a dark elemental, which is very rare for its species.
“Next” she heard the speaker say “so what do you have for me?” the voice said to the Skarabien
“I once slept with a heat elemental” It said proudly
Zhal heard a entertained gurgle “oh I would love to hear that, come in and type on the private board”
Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
A door opened and the being went in and then the door closed, Zhal went forward.
“Oh, another Griffin” The speaker said in a bored tone “please for the hate of god, I don't want to hear how you killed the Catcher, no matter how you did it”
Griffins, as her species was, were slippery skinned, four legged beings, usually with two extra limbs for propulsion, long flexible neck, with two eyes on either side that stood out like snails but could be retracted to the skull, a long scissor like beak with hooks, and a short stubby tail.
Our colors are usually desert below, dirt above, with a colorful head, she had bright blue, magenta streaks and with orange color dots, her eyes were yellow with black slits.
Her height was 163 cm.
Her species elemental type was usually some form of gas like helium, hydrogen or carbon, but her family were earth types and she herself was a dirt elemental.
Zhal spoke “I met a Radioactive Elemental in these lands”
“In these lands?” The speaker said in a new curious tone, the door open and Zhal went in
Zhal got into the main room, it was open with a lot of poles, chairs, tables, lights and whatnot. It's somewhat archaic, but that's how it is when they need to adapt to a lot of diverse forms.
There were around 30 other beings, some very small, some large, in a variety of elementals, but nothing exactly rare or outstanding that she hasent seen in her exploration of her world.
Everyone was trying to get into a position, and use their devices to presumably text the shipmasters their tale as payment.
While walking to find a place to latch onto, Zhal had a question whenever currency of word was used, thinking how there hasn't been a standardized currency yet, but then the next though came, on how we Elementals can basically live for eternity and the only material that we can use without much worry of destruction is the stuff we are made of, calms the previous thought.
She found a place to attach herself and her items to, she took her phone and activated it and wrote down a link she saw when entering and got sent to a private chat with the shipmaster.
She texted on how when she was 70 years old, when exploring a continental Elemental, the only habitable things on our gashous homeworld, that she didn't recognize.
She found some caverns, went inside and noticed one of her equipment read high radiation and she saw a radiation Elemental.
Normally you would get the fuck out, knowing how her elemental code would get irreversably damaged, but the amount wasent on that degree as long as she dident stay for more than a few minutes.
The being was latched onto the roof of the underground cave system, it had long lanky legs, a long flexible neck, frills and a quadra-beak, but the thing that struck it as a radioactive type, was due to the faint blue it emitted through it frills and the small gap in its mouth, contrasting much to its gray rocky skin, most likely i was warning the sudden intruder.
Zhal wanted to take a better look, instead taking the better judgment of leaving after her equipment took photos of it.
She sent a good photo to the shipmaster, he didn't need photographic evidence, he just cared about the story, but the image did make him happy and asked if he was allowed to share, which Zhal approved, if he could help find someone to identify the being.
By the time Zhal was done talking, the ship had arrived at the melting pot of the multi worlds, Ket.
She said her goodbye and left the chatroom and went to go outside with the rest.
When she got outside the ship, she was amazed, there were other ships and many other beings coming in and out, those who went out to Ket, went to the filtration area, to make sure you didn't bring any bad stuff and wasn't a wanted criminal.
She saw private ships flying overhead, buildings made out of Eletal all around, it is said that the ground is made of layered foundation and structures for miles underground that were millions of years old.
And so Zhal began to walk, to her new life that began in Ket.
