Seventeen years ago Earth experienced its "Periodic Awakening". At the time no one knew what occurred as the skies turned black and the streets filled with chaotic panic. It seemed like Armageddon, the end times. Until suddenly the skies burst into colour and a purple mist lingered through the air causing everyone to collapse into a inevitable slumber. When everyone across the globe finally woke up the only thing that filled their minds was confusion. All except for 118 select members. These members ranged from newborns to young adults below 20 and they all shared the same symptoms. Purple diamonds shaped on their both palms as well a rapid change in their visionary abilities. These members found out that they had special anatomies and their bodies were filled with 1 element from the periodic table. No scientist could explain why this came to be until 5 grotesquely shaped beings clearly not from this world presented themselves to the United Nations.

The United Nations ordered all citizens with the mark to migrate immediately and they didn't dare ask further questions.
