This chapter is a bit short, later ones are going to be longer.
Think of it as an appetizer.

Run.
Only one thought in my mind, if I don't run I'm dead.
I can't remember when I started running, I just wanted to sleep.
I'm in the port, and it's the same as ever, nobody working or around because the taxes on fishing made it not worth to even try, with empty abandoned boats docked in, and me trying not to die running in fear.
I feel cold behind my neck and down to my legs, even if the sun is high in the sky.
Trying to suppress my urge to look back to see how far it is, and with the wind passing through my ears, I can't hear anything else but my heavy and tired breath, but I can feel IT behind me.
Escaping south, leaving the port I managed to arrive in the residential area, still hoping to find somebody to help me.
Those useless houses that never welcomed me, those streets that were full of hateful people, now empty, nobody around leaving me alone as the only prey.
I grit my theet and then scream. Where in the hell is everybody? Are they locked in their houses while looking and mocking me through the windows? I look up and search for any sign of life behind the glass.

Had they really escaped without me noticing?
Turning right from the main road, running into some alleys I near the Plaza as fast as I can, trying to search anybody to use as bait, at least somebody is bound to be there.
Once again I'm alone, only the usual scaffold in the middle of the square is keeping me company while bringing back bad memories.
I slow down and sit on the ground tired, then I turn around towards my predator.
Here it is, making a wide curve and crashing with the wall at the side of the street.
I try to take a look at what is going to end my life, but I can see only a big ball of black smoke, that distorts the floor and the objects it goes near to.
It comes near at a gaining pace, even without me stopping, it would've eventually got me after tiring me out.
With it only moments away from me, I surrender myself to this dark monster, I close my eyes and then...
"Hey Adit! Wake the fuck up!".
I reopen my eyes not dead, but worse, I'm where I went to sleep.
