-3 Years Later
At the age of 21, Alexandra had become a driven and successful representative for her father's company. Her days were filled with meetings, presentations, and networking events, all in pursuit of making her father proud. She had grown accustomed to the demanding lifestyle and the constant pressure to succeed. However, deep down, she couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that accompanied her relentless pursuit of perfection.
In an attempt to find solace and escape from her high-profile responsibilities, Alexandra sought refuge in the local bar scene. It was a place where she could shed her professional facade and embrace her own desires and pleasures. She became a regular patron of a trendy bar that happened to be owned by her family.
It was on one fateful evening, while sitting at the bar and nursing a cocktail, that Alexandra's eyes met Luke's. Luke, the charismatic and enigmatic bartender, exuded a magnetic energy that instantly captivated her. There was an air of mystery surrounding him that drew her in, and she found herself intrigued by the depth behind his eyes.
Curiosity getting the best of her, Alexandra struck up a conversation with Luke. They exchanged pleasantries and engaged in casual banter, quickly realizing they shared a similar taste in music, literature, and art. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and they found themselves lost in a world of shared interests and intellectual stimulation.
As the night progressed, Alexandra discovered a side of herself that had long been suppressed—the carefree and spontaneous spirit that had once defined her. Luke's presence seemed to awaken a sense of liberation within her, breaking the chains of societal expectations and the burden of parental approval.
As Luke hands Alexandra her drink, she takes a sip and nods her approval. "This is really good," she says with a smile.
"Thanks, I made it myself," Luke replies, grinning. "I'm pretty good at mixing drinks, if I do say so myself."
"I can see that," Alexandra says, her eyes scanning the club. "So, do you work here often?"
"Yeah, I'm one of the bartenders," Luke says, leaning against the bar. "It's not a bad gig, I get to meet all kinds of interesting people."
Alexandra nods, taking another sip of her drink. "I can imagine. What made you want to become a bartender?"
Luke shrugs. "I kind of fell into it, to be honest. I was working at a restaurant and they needed someone to cover a shift behind the bar. I gave it a try and found that I really liked it."
"That's cool," Alexandra says, smiling. "It's always great when you stumble upon something you love doing."
Just then, a man approaches the bar and orders a drink. "Hey, Luke," he says. "Can I get a beer?"
"Sure thing, Jake," Luke replies, grabbing a bottle from the fridge. "How's it going?"
"Not bad," Jake says, taking a swig of his beer. "Just trying to forget about work for a little while."
Alexandra watches the exchange with interest, sensing that Jake and Luke are good friends. "So, Jake," she says, turning to him. "What do you do?"

"I'm a lawyer," Jake says, raising an eyebrow. "Why do you ask?"
Alexandra chuckles. "Just making conversation. I work in marketing myself."
"Ah, okay," Jake says, nodding. "So you're one of those creative types."
"Something like that," Alexandra says, smiling.
As Jake continues to chat with Luke and Alexandra, the three of them start to relax and enjoy themselves. Luke can't help but notice that Alexandra seems more at ease now, and he wonders if maybe he has a chance with her after all.
Luke continues to serve drinks and chat with Jake and Alexandra. The atmosphere in the club is lively, and the music is loud enough to drown out most of their conversation. But Luke doesn't mind, he's just happy to have some company for the night.
As the evening wears on, the club starts to fill up with more people. Luke is busy mixing drinks, and Jake and Alexandra have moved to a table on the other side of the room.
Luke catches glimpses of them throughout the night, laughing and chatting. He can't help but feel a twinge of jealousy, but he pushes it aside. He knows he has no right to be jealous, especially since he hasn't even told Alexandra everything about his past how dangerous he is.
As the night draws to a close, Luke starts to clean up the bar. He notices that Alexandra is getting ready to leave, and he feels a pang of disappointment.
"Hey, Luke," Alexandra calls out as she walks by the bar. "Thanks for the drink, and for keeping me company tonight."
Luke smiles, feeling a rush of warmth. "No problem, anytime. Have a good night."
As she walks away, Luke can't help but think that he wants to see her again. But he knows that he can't pursue anything until he's dealt with his past.
He finishes cleaning up the bar and heads home, his thoughts consumed by memories of war and his fallen comrades. He wonders what they would think of him now, working as a bartender and playing music.
As he falls asleep, he vows to honor their memory by finding a way to make a difference in the world, and by never forgetting the sacrifices they made for their country.
The next day, Luke wakes up with a renewed sense of purpose. He decides to visit the graves of his fallen comrades, Roy and Rhea. He knows that it will be a difficult and emotional experience, but he feels that it's something he needs to do.
He also decides to reach out to his younger brother Niko, whom he hasn't spoken to in years. He knows that he's been distant from his family, but he wants to make things right.
Luke spends the day visiting the graves of Roy and Rhea, and he feels a sense of closure as he lays flowers on their headstones. He then calls Niko and invites him to lunch.
Over lunch, Luke and Niko catch up on old times. Luke tells him about his experiences in the military, and Niko listens with rapt attention. They talk about their father and how much they miss him, and they make plans to visit his grave together.
As Luke spends time with his brother, he realizes that he's been missing out on so much by keeping his past bottled up inside. He feels a sense of relief and freedom as he talks about his experiences, and he knows that he's finally starting to heal.
That night, Luke heads back to the club where he works. He sees Alexandra sitting at the bar, and he feels a surge of nervousness.
"Hey," he says, approaching her. "Can I buy you a drink?"
Alexandra smiles, and Luke feels his heart skip a beat. He knows that it's not going to be easy, but he's ready to take a chance and open up to her about his past.
"Wow, that's impressive," Alexandra says, leaning forward. "You've really accomplished a lot."
Luke smiles modestly. "Thanks, but it's really nothing compared to what some of my fellow soldiers have done. I lost a few good friends in the war."
"I'm sorry to hear that," Alexandra says softly.
Luke's expression turns serious. "It's tough, you know? We were like a family out there, and losing them...it's like losing a part of yourself."
Alexandra reaches out and puts a comforting hand on Luke's arm. "I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for you," she says. "But I'm sure they would be proud of you for all that you've accomplished since then."
Luke nods, feeling a sense of gratitude toward Alexandra for her kind words. "Thanks, that means a lot."
As the night wears on, Luke finds himself opening up to Alexandra more and more. He tells her about his father, who was also a military man, and how he never really knew his mother. He talks about his younger brother, Niko, and how he wishes he could have been there to protect him during the war.
Alexandra listens attentively, her eyes never leaving Luke's face. She can sense the pain and grief that he carries with him, but she also sees the strength and resilience that he possesses.
When Luke finishes talking, there is a moment of silence between them. Alexandra reaches out and takes his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "You're a brave man, Luke," she says. "And you deserve to be happy."
Luke looks at her, feeling a surge of emotion welling up inside him. In that moment, he knows that he has found something special in Alexandra, something that he doesn't want to let go of.
"Thanks, Alexandra," he says, his voice barely above a whisper. "You don't know how much that means to me."
As the night draws to a close, Luke walks Alexandra to her car. They stand in silence for a moment, neither one wanting to say goodbye.
Finally, Alexandra leans in and gives Luke a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight, Luke," she says softly.
"Goodnight, Alexandra," Luke replies, watching as she drives away. For the first time in a long while, he feels a glimmer of hope, a sense that maybe, just maybe, he has found someone who can help him heal the wounds of his past.
